Chapter Text
"How grateful of you to grace us with your presence Mr. Hall. Please find your seat and pull your textbook out." Mr. Fujiyama said, glancing at Brycen but continuing on with his lesson.
"I apologize sir I got lost and couldn't find the classroom." Brycen says quickly, finding an empty seat and sitting down. He felt his cheeks heat up but was able to quickly catch up.
"Before being interrupted. Who can tell me the significance of blending colors in a piece of art?" Mr. Fujiyama says.
A raven haired student raises his hand attempting to answer the question. "To gently intermingle two or more colors or values to create a gradual transition or to soften lines." He replies sounding confident in his answer.
"Correct Mr. Haryiama. As an artist you should practice blending in any medium." Mr. Fujiyama replies while setting up a projector.
While he's setting up the projector Brycen feels someone watching him from afar. As he looks over he sees the raven haired boy quickly glance at him and look away.He looks back again and smiles at the boy and sees the boy's cheeks flush a bright pink.
Brycen didn't even think about it just that the boy was embarrassed he got caught staring. Well soon after that moment Mr. Fujiyama pulls up a photo of a bowl with golden lines in a crack.
"Okay class the last thing we are gonna work on is the art of kintsugi. And some of you may be asking what kintsugi is. Well it is the art technique of taking broken pottery and using gold glue to put it back together." Mr Fujiyama passes out a piece of paper with some notes and history about kintsugi.
"Study these notes because tomorrow you will be working in pairs and fixing your own pottery pieces with golden glue." He says as he shuts off the projector.
"Class is dismissed, I'll see you all tomorrow."
