Chapter Text

Camie and Pappag had recently returned to Fish-Man Island, wanting to take a break after all the chaos that had occurred in such a short time. Hachi stayed behind in Sabaody to protect the Thousand Sunny.

Even though Rayleigh and Shakky told them that their human pirate friends would reunite later on, Camie still couldn't help but worry whether they were doing alright but she wouldn't let those negative thoughts cloud her concern, she had faith in their reunion.

The moment they returned, Pappag was quick to work in making clothing designs, as the recent events had inspired him. She couldn't believe just how fast his sales were. After he became so famous and was recognized for his designing talents, Camie, wanting to become a designer herself, became her pet's apprentice, which her friends teasingly noted the irony.

Time flew by so fast and before she knew it, a month had already passed.

It started as just another regular day. Camie had a day off from the Mermaid Cafe today and went at Coral Hill to get more clams to give to Pappag during her next visit for his lessons.

However, just as she arrived, she saw something— no, someone, laying prone in the beach shore. It was a human man with silver hair, Camie gasped as she realized that he was bleeding from his head and quickly looked over to the gathering crowd behind her.

"Help me! Please! There's someone injured here!"

Camie grimaced as many continued to look on in hesitance, some even looking away in obvious guilt. She knew that it was probably because of the aftermath of Marineford. Fish-Man Island lost its protection with Whitebeard's death. Because of that, human pirates that recently arrive here have become a bit out of control, much like how it was during the beginning of the Great Era of Pirates.

"What is going on here?"

Many gasped at the source of the stoic and intimidating voice. The sight of the three princes also made Came gaped in shock, but not scream like a banshee like she often does. The royal gondola they were descended towards the scene, and the three princes approaching towards them as the crowd take several steps back to make way.

Fukaboshi took one look at the unconscious man before turning to Camie, "Did you found him like this?"

Camie quickly nodded even as she flinched under the eldest prince's intimidating gaze.

"I see." Fukaboshi turned his attention to his soldiers, "Guards, bring in a stretcher and take him to the nearest hospital!"

"Yes, Sir!" Immediately the guards quickly surrounded them as they carefully lifted the human. As she watched, Camie came to a decision and turned to Fukaboshi.

"Um, Fukaboshi-sama?" She nearly flinched again at his gaze, "If it's not too much of a bother, may I please accompany them? I still can't help but worry..."

Fukaboshi hummed in thought for a moment before nodding, "Very well."

That was how Came ended up sitting right in front of a hospital room, with Pappag arriving soon after once he had heard the news. The doctors came to them a couple of hours later, informing them of the current state of their human patient. He had finally regained consciousness.

Thankfully, the human wasn't terribly injured nor suffered major blood loss (which Came is thankful for considering that old law), having only minor injuries like animal scratches and a sprained ankle. And lastly, the most important part...

"I'll keep this brief." The Anchovy Fish-Man began, "Most likely due to his head injury, he is currently suffering a form of amnesia."

"Amnesia? You mean he doesn't remember who he is?" Pappag asks from Camie's shoulder.

"We asked him some questions. He still remembers his own name, which is Ingo, but could not recall anything else about himself from before he had amnesia." The doctor says, "He gets headaches whenever he tries to recall something and speaks in a strange lingo that seems to stem from muscle memory. I find it likely that this may be temporary. He is also in stable enough condition to accept visitors."

That was all the doctor had to say before Camie thanked him as he left. Camie and Pappag silently looked at each other for a moment before turning around and opening the door.

Just to let you guys know, there will be Pokemon in the One Piece world, but not as widespread as it is in Earth.
