It's a good night, Castiel thinks.
One of the ones in between the never ending disasters that seem to make up a lot of their lives.
Sam's staying late at the library, but it's not anything urgent. Dean says it's because Sam has the hots for the librarian.
Castiel and Dean are having a movie night. A "chick flick" Dean wanted to see but pretended it was for Cas' benefit is playing on the TV. Castiel doesn't mind indulging him, highly enjoys it in fact.
Though Dean stopped watching a while ago. Head slumped on Castiel's shoulder, breathing deeply in a restful sleep. Castiel isn't watching the movie either. As usual much more fascinated with watching Dean. It's a bit of an awkward angle for his neck. But that doesn't matter, benefit of being an angel and all.
Dean might grumble s bit when he wakes up if he notices Castiel watching him. But they both know Dean doesn't actually mind.
He squeezes Dean gently with the arm he has around him and places a light kiss on his head, careful not to wake him up.
