The doorbell rang and Miyano put down his book on the bed then jumped off and jogged down the stairs eager to greet his boyfriend, a smile adorning his face.
"Coming!" He opened the door to see Sasaki smiling at him from ear to ear, one hand in his jean pocket, his shirt a bit ruffled, and the other hand holding a plastic bag.
"Yo Miya-chan!" He waved. Miyano couldn't stop looking at Sasaki's beautiful smile, and soft ruffled hair, and long eyelashes, and -
"Can I come in?" Sasaki interrupted his thoughts. Miyano quickly moved back. "Oh yes, yes! Of course, come in" a small blush appeared as he waved for Sasaki to come in, Sasaki replying with a thanks as he moved to put his school shoulder bag down, and the rest of his stuff, taking off his shoes.
"Are your parents not here?" Sasaki noticed the house was more silent than usual. He's come a few times to Miyano's house now for dinner and hang out, and most of the time his parents were here too.
"They'll be coming home late today" Miyano replied as he walked to the kitchen "Want anything to drink?"
"Jus is fine" Sasaki followed. "Also here, I brought some snacks" He handed over the plastic bag to Miyano who turned around and looked at him with small surprise.
"You bought snacks? Where's my Shuumei-san who makes his own." A coy grin showing on Miyano's face as he took the bag.
Sasaki bonked him lightly on the head then ruffled his hair. "Your Shuumei came straight from University"
"I know" Miyano giggled at the gesture and put the bag down on the table then went to grab some jus.
Sasaki brought a finger to his mouth, blushing slightly at the realization that Miyano called him his. Miyano's getting bolder lately isn't he, he thought smiling.
"Here" Miyano handed him a glass of apple jus. Sasaki thanked him and happily took the glass, grateful for the nice refreshing drink as it was pretty hot outside today.
"So what were you doing before I got here?" Sasaki put the glass down.
"Reading the latest volume of the manga I lent you. I can't wait for you to catch up! The suspense is really strong in this one. Let me know when you've finished volume 4 so I can give you the rest!" Miyano excitedly replied, eyes sparkling.
"Will do" Sasaki smiled back. He'll never get over how cute Miyano is when he gets all excited talking about his favorite manga. He leaned down and pecked him on the cheek, making Miyano blush. Miyano looked up, their faces so close. He could get a good long look at Sasaki's eyes from here now, glowing amber color shined softly as light from the window touched their faces, making Sasaki's skin softer and smoother. It made Miyano want to touch it so he brought up a finger and lightly brushed Sasaki's cheek, Sasaki's eyes widened slightly in response. "Miya-chan..." he whispered, placed a hand on Miyano's cheek and leaned in for a light kiss on the lips, Miyano responding by kissing him lightly back. He then pulled away.
"Maybe we should go to my room" Miyano chuckled, still blushing, moving his hands to Sasaki's shoulder. They were kind of awkwardly leaning against the table, in a not very comfortable position.
"Yeah" Miyano noticed Sasaki was also blushing, his hands still resting on Miyano's hips, looking away as he leaned back, making Miyano's smile grow. Miyano took Sasaki's hand and lead them upstairs.
Back in Miyano's room Sasaki noticed the book lying on his bed and went to take a look at it. "So this is the next volume? I really like the cover for this one." He opened the book at a random page.
"Wait! Don't spoil yourself!" Miyano jumped to Sasaki's side and Sasaki closed the book, laughing. Miyano took it and placed it on his desk, frowning. He's so cute when he pouts, thought Sasaki.
"Could I read the rest here?" He sat down on Miyano's bed.
"Of course!" Miyano perked up and went straight to his bookshelf. "You haven't finished volume 4 right?" He knelt down and ran his fingers through the books looking for the right one.
"Yep"
"Okay" He took out several books and went to sit next to Sasaki. "Here's volume 4" He handed him the book. "And here are the rest for when you finish it. I'll put them on the desk." The raven-haired boy went to grab the book he had been reading and sat back down next to Sasaki.
"Hey Miya-chan" Sasaki leaned over Miyano's shoulder. "Hm?"
"Could we do a lap-pillow?"
Miyano stared at Sasaki for a second. "Huh? Sure if you want to."
"Yay!" Sasaki chirped. Miyano couldn't help but smile fondly at Sasaki's little antics. He's so cute when he does that, Miyano thought, then sat up straight and folded his legs under him. "Ok, ready" Miyano patted his legs. Sasaki chuckled and laid his head down on the fair-skinned boy's lap, picking up his book. Miyano's sent gently wafted over him, causing his heart to race a little. I don't think I"ll be able to concentrate on the book like this, Sasaki blushed. All this closeness made him want to just suddenly hug and squeeze Miyano tightly. He smells so good.
"Is it okay?" Miyano asked, breaking the tall redhead out of his thoughts. He looked up and saw dark sapphire eyes gently gazing down at him. His eyes are so pretty. I could just stare at them forever, Sasaki marveled.
"Oh - uh yeah! Yeah it's very comfy" Sasaki replied, looking back at the book, trying his best to concentrate on it. Miyano chuckled. I doubt it is. But Sasaki is so cute when he tries to hide his blush. "That's good then."
A comfortable silence settled between them as they each read their book, Sasaki being more relaxed now was able to read.
After some time Sasaki put the book down and stretched. "I finished!" He looked up at his boyfriend. "Man, why do they always end on a cliffhanger like that. Good thing you got the rest, I don't know if I'd be able to wait to know what happens." He trailed off when he noticed Miyano's serious concentrated expression while he was reading. Wow, Miya-chan is really engrossed in his book huh.
Sasaki poked at Miyano's side "Heeyy, Miya-chan"
Miyano let out a small gasp, startled back to reality, then looked down at Sasaki still laying on his lap, smiling back at him. Suddenly a blush flushed his face and he was torn between hiding his face or trying to keep his composure. And Sasaki definitely noticed this.
"Hey Miya-channn, why are you blushing?" He smirked, and slowly sat up, bringing his face close to Miyano's.
It was too late to hide.
Miyano tilted his head down in embarrassment. "Well you know those bedroom scenes in the manga..." he tentatively started. Sasaki was definitely curious as to where this was going, grinning from ear to ear. "I was just wondering... what it would be like..." If Miyano's face could get any redder, it definitely did. "... to do those things."
Miyano looked back up at Sasaki, a new determined look shining on his face despite the blush. "Now that I have a boyfriend, it made me curious to try it out!" He finished. There he said it. Not that he didn't still want to hide.
Sasaki laughed then cupped Miyano's head in his hand. "Hmmmm" he leaned in close, their nose touching. "So you're curious huh". This was definitely a golden opportunity to tease Miyano and he wasn't gonna let it fly by.
He leaned in for a kiss, wrapping one arm around Miyano's torso and caressing his cheek with the other. He was waiting and expecting Miyano to just say he was joking and tell him to stop but instead was taken by surprise when the opposite happened. Miyano wrapped his arms around Sasaki's mid and pulled him closer, pushing Sasaki against his chest. Sasaki startled. He felt the warmth of Miyano's chest pressed against his. He could feel Miyano's breath on his neck, feel Miyano's heartbeat - and all of a sudden he was very aware of it all.
He leaned away to take a look at Miyano's face. His face was as red as can be, his eyes glazed over, and his lips more rosy than normal, his hair so soft, his skin so smooth, his breath -
"Miya-chan... You're- You're serious?" Sasaki quietly asked, still processing all of this.
Miyano gentily took his hand and placed it on his chest, looking down.
"Yes." He breathed. "I want you... to touch me."
It felt like a jolt of lightning had struck Sasaki. He froze. His breath stopped. He stood as still as possible as everything hit him all at once.
He leaped away from Miyano, sitting up straight, one hand on his mouth, the other one clutching his jeans, looking down at the floor. Now he was the one blushing like crazy. Woah woah woah woah, hold on a second. His mind was racing and he couldn't calm himself down as much as he tried. The sound of Miyano's irregular breath on his neck just played on repeat in his head - Stop it brain!! He mentally slapped himself. How am I supposed to calm down when you do this to meeee!!
"I - uh" He tried his best to form coherent words despite all of this. "I think it might be too early to venture into that territory." He mumbled, still looking down at the floor, his face felt as hot as the sun.
"Y-Yeah, yeah! You're right of course - I'm sorry-" Miyano babbled, clutching his hands to his jeans too.
Sasaki looked up and the look on Miyano's face just made his heart drop a thousand miles. Suddenly he completely forgot about his embarrassment. He dropped his hand and stared at Miyano's worried face. But it looked different. His face wasn't just worry, it had something more to it. It looked like-
Rejection.
Sasaki could feel the whole world crumbling and flipped upside down. No!! You got it all wrong!!
He instantly leaped at Miyano and squeezed him in a tight hug. Startling the boy. He nuzzled his head in Miyano's shoulder as he hugged him tightly as he could. Miyano, even being kind of stuck, tentatively tried to wrap his arms around Sasaki's back.
"You have nothing to apologize for! I want to do it too." Sasaki's words came out muffled because of how tightly he was holding Miyano.
"I - I understand, don't worry." Miyano reassured, petting Sasaki's head, relishing in his gentile sent. Even though Sasaki was holding tightly onto him, he was still being gentil about it, filling Miyano with so much love for Sasaki. God he wanted to stay like this forever.
Sasaki finally parted to take a good look at Miyano's face, cupping his face, wanting to make sure Miyano was alright. He breathed a small sigh of relief when he saw Miyano smiling lovingly back at him, and taking his hand into his. "You're not sad anymore" Sasaki breathed as he leaned his forehead against Miyano's, closing his eyes.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to worry you - you're right that we shouldn't do it yet. It just startled me when you suddenly jumped away, I'm sor-"
"I said don't apologize," Sasaki whispered. He caressed Miyano's cheek and kissed it a few times "After all". He kissed his neck "I'll always kiss you and hug you as much as you want" Sasaki went back and forth between kissing Miyano's cheek and neck, making Miyano chuckle in response. Sasaki was just happy Miyano was happy again.
"St-Stoop" Miyano laughed. "That ti-tickles, haha!" Miyano squirmed in Sasaki's arms, making Sasaki grin from ear to ear. "Hmmm, are you suuure you want me to stop?" He kissed Miyano's face all over, his forhead, his nose, his cheek, and finally his lips.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
