Rolling onto his side, Xie Lian rests his hands on the pillow and his eyes on the outline of Hua Cheng’s handsome face. Breathing slowly, he draws the cool night air into his lungs and wills it to help slow his pulse.
He doesn’t want to wake Hua Cheng, doesn’t want to disturb his rest just because he woke in the night with a need that aches in his body like crawling fire.
Xie Lian struggles with his need, the same need that Jun Wu had mocked him for. Hua Cheng, on the other hand, welcomes it.
