Summary
He wrapped his arms around himself, failing to find the warmth he so desperately craved, the presence his heart was howling for. He couldn’t stop his chest from heaving. Couldn’t stop the cough building up, taking roots in the knowledge of how fucked up he was and how lonely he’ll be without Stede by his side.
Slowly, gradually, his breathing evened out. He ran out of tears and was left feeling like he just filled up the ocean. The emotional exhaustion almost took him under, but not before he saw it.
