Summary:

Mainly, Hinata and Komaeda had just stuck around one area of the world, finding little to no need to explore it more; out of randomness, they end up walking past where they usually would and found more to the world than they thought there was. They find a beach and a sea goddess; along with some flowers, so of course there's some flower crowns involved.

Work Text:

It was a regular and expected routine for Komaeda to be upset over nothing. His moodswings were quite literally like swinging back and forth on a swing, sometimes he'd be so joyful to be skipping along his merry way and other times he'd be sobbing on a singular cloud, not moving an inch. It made sense that he was the literal sky with how back and forth his emotions were. Though, thankfully for him, he had Hajime to help him out. His immortal life had been far greater ever since he'd met the earth, as before it had been so lonely and deserted. The brunette then became prioritized in making sure that Nagito always felt better after he'd have his mood swings, and right now was no different. He'd created a bit of a light thunderstorm with light rain, but it was enough to catch the tan one's attention. The boy was simply trying to grow out a few mushrooms and such, but his focus had to switch up for the time being.

Every time the white haired boy felt upset, Hajime would somehow change his ways in making him feel better. There was a time he created a heart shape out of roses and other beautiful flowers, or there was a time that he had birds tweet a little song for him; among many other examples. This time though, he pondered, what should he do? He could do practically anything with the land, yet he still felt so limited. His eyes glanced everywhere across the gloomy land, trying to look for some inspiration as to what he could do; with full heart and consideration in mind. His eyes laid themselves on the nearby forest of trees, which all stood tall like they were gods themselves. Hinata grinned, gaining a sweet idea from this. Within seconds, the boy arose a large tree, one that would classify as a willow tree. Though, when he grew it, he was sure to make the strands of leaves separate in a certain shape; to the point where it made the shape of a heart. By this point, he was on the same level that Nagito was, and was able to see the poor white haired boy tossing and turning on his gloomy storm cloud. "Hey, Nagito," he called out softly, just barely being loud enough to the point where he'd catch the white headed one's attention. The boy looked over, immediately beginning to calm down to the sight of him; especially with how he'd obviously grown a tree just to reach him. He sniffled a little, trying to get his tears to calm themselves.

"Ah.. Hajime," he sniffled, his eyes focusing on the details of the tree as a smile came to his face, "good morning, I hope that I didn't wake you," he then added. He tried his best to clear his voice to make it sound less sob-full and tried clearing his eyes of the tears. "Don't worry about it, I've been up for a while; I was growing some mushrooms!" He hummed, jumping off of the tree to instead settle on the cloud beside Komaeda. The clouds the boy created felt so soft, even softer than some of the grass that Hajime would grow. The temperature of them depended on how Nagito was feeling, but as of right now it felt a lot like was snow being cooled down felt like. It was cold, but it was beginning to become warmer. He now stood beside the white headed one, who was now only sniffling every now and again. "What happened?" He asked, already knowing the answer. Well, more likely, he knew that it was one between two answers; either, he had some bad dream, or it just came out of no where. The latter possibility was more likely ever since the two had found each other, as the cloudette's nightmares that brought him mornings of despair began to disappear. Not that they never popped up at all now, of course, so it was still a fair possibility. "I- well, it's a bit odd to go into detail about, but it was a dream," Komaeda answered, shaking his head in the thought of it. "How is it odd?" Hinata questioned, his eyes narrowed. Though of course, he put in more of a soft and assuring tone; one that wouldn't come off as forceful. If the cloudette didn't want to talk about it, he didn't have to.

"Like I said, it's just odd to detail. I just saw something really weird here that swallowed you," he explained, trying his best to find the most fitting words, "it looked like the sky, kind of? But if it was more.. Earthly?" He shook his head, sighing and shivering over remembering the nightmare experience. It definitely sounded really odd and hard to think about, but Hinata shrugged it off the best he could. "Ah- well, that wouldn't happen. As always, it was just some stupid little dream. I'm still here," he hummed, smiling softly, "once again, if you want I could start sleeping up on a cloud with you if it makes you feel better." As per, whenever the idea was brought up, the pale boy's cheeks would flush a certain shade of pink; one that reminded Hajime of certain flowers he liked growing. "I'm still thinking about it, but thank you," he hummed, then trying to move on, "though, I would like to try and get my mind off of it. Could we have a walk?" He asked, looking down to the ground below. The grass seemed so beautifully green today, it would be perfect to take a walk in. As long as they weren't stepping on any pretty flowers, of course. The brunette nodded his head excitedly, looking ahead towards the nearby hills and bumps that the two usually took their walks by. "Of course! I'd love to," he agreed, his eyes squinting a little as he continued to look forward. He then added without much thought, "Would you like to walk a little further this time?" He asked, earning a confused and nervous look from the other.

In all honesty, the two hadn't particularly stretched out of their main area much. It wasn't because of fear, or at least not particularly; it was mainly because they felt comfortable enough in their own area. However, the last time they spread out their grounds a little more they met Izuru, which... Well, if you put it in the simplest of terms, it didn't end that well. A burn scar wasn't the best thing to wake up to in the morning for Komaeda. So maybe there was just a little bit of fear pushed behind it, the fear of them meeting something else they'd never seen before that didn't come into their liking. It was all so peaceful so far, how could they ever wish for that to be intentionally ruined?

"I- I don't know. What if we meet someone like Kamukura-kun? We don't really know what's out there," he sighed, worriedly looking out. Past those hills seemed pretty plain and boring, just some thin grass that quite obviously wasn't by Hajime's hand and was previously created. That was all, at least as far as their eyes could see. You could never really know; for example, what if that blue and scary thing actually existed? What if it actually swallowed up Hinata? The thought was beyond terrifying. The brunette cringed at the idea of meeting something else like that, but he still wasn't quite agaonst the idea. "Good point, but I'm running out of good areas to create gardens out of anyways. I want to find a new area; we don't even have to go *that* far, don't worry," he smiled, especially to the idea of growing more creative sorts of gardens. He could do so much with such simple things, but it never felt as though he had enough safe space to do it in. And he already knew it would be a very bad step to take if he even tried to grow something pleasant near any of Kamukura's areas.

"I suppose. We can try it, but just not too far," Komaeda finally agreed, but his nod was still rather unsure. However, he began to lower the cloud they were currently on, lowering it right to the ground where it would begin to disintegrate into nothingness. Their feet landed in the soft, medium-length grass comfortably, and the brunette went instantly into walking. He walked forward, in the area in which he had been staring at previously. "Ah, how impatient," Komaeda lightly teased with a chuckle, following after the other. He was just barely behind the other, his steps being more nervous and ginger. Along the way, Hinata would heal any unhealthy grass or flowers that he came across, and would maybe grow a tree or two. Apart from this, the two would talk a little, Hajime mainly trying to calm down the other's nerves. "Nagito, do you have any ideas for a garden I could make?" He asked, trying to make it a topic that he could focus on more than his fear of finding something he didn't like.

The white haired boy thought for a moment, looking up towards the sky. There were a few swirly clouds up in this area, and he remembered the specifics of creating each of these. A third of them were self-created, all from being his joyful and pining little self when he had a crush on Hajime. He sprinted around the sky plenty of times, his fantasies taking float. Admittedly, he'd even created some images out of the clouds when he had his happy spurts; usually something like a heart, or one time he made a flower out of the fluffy bunches. Then there was the other two thirds of what they came from, and those were filled with Hajime and Nagito *together*; usually when they sprinted around the sky together, almost as if they were dancing. Sometimes, they'd even make shapes too, just as Nagito did when he was simply pining. You could see even more passion within the swirls and curves of those clouds in specific when you looked closely, and they had a certain glow to them as well. They seemed a little less white and more of a color that represented a flower.

He then shook the thoughts out, looking back to the brunette with an answer. "Maybe one with a lot of white flowers. Those ones always look so pretty," he hummed, simply because white flowers reminded him a lot of the clouds. So with the flowers being white, it felt as though it was some sweet mixture of Hajime and Nagito. Seeing a garden full of it and themed to be around that would be splendid. Hajime made a small "ooh" sound, nodding his head and flourishing in the idea, "That sounds beautiful. I'll try and do that for one of the new gardens!" This led into the tan boy going on with his rants over his garden ideas, all of them sounding so playful and creative in their own way; some of them even included creating woods of trees or bundles of mushrooms, just proving that there wasn't any limit to what he could do.

Though, as they talked without much care, their steps went further into places that they didn't intend. They ended up walking way farther than they originally intended to, finding themself in places that had things they didn't recognize. It was exactly like what happened last time, except a little less burning. Nagito accidentally walked into something that soaked his feet, making them feel really odd. "Ah- what was that?" He gasped at the feeling, a shiver running down his spine at the surprising coldness. It wasn't freezing per say, it was just quite different from the warmness that the grass had. He shook his foot off, and some droplets lifted off and fell back into the grass right as he looked down and investigated what this came from. "What happened?" Hinata questioned, looking back at the other worriedly; almost as if he got horribly hurt, which could be a possibility whenever they ventured out. You never quite knew. "Hajime, do you know what that is?" Komaeda asked curiously, completely ignoring the brunette's question as he was kneeling down towards it. It was in a bit of a circle-representing shape, looking like the shape of a cloud the white headed boy would make. Though it of course didn't have the same color nor feeling of clouds. It looked like a musty blue, as if the grass had infected the pure blue sky with itself. The blue shade of it, however, gave the cloudette a harsh flashback to his nightmare last night. What he saw in that dream looked like this, but way bigger. Larger than the two if they were stacked on top of each other, not just a tiny little circle.

"Huh- I've never seen that before, I don't know what it is," Hinata said, his hand reaching over to lightly touch it; though he was stopped by none other than his partner. "D-don't touch it- it looks like the thing I saw in my dream," he lightly squirmed. He was treating it as if this thing would kill the brunette if he even lightly grazed a finger against it; and after the vision in his dream, it couldn't quite be said that it was fully unreasonable. "Oh, that's what it looks like? Well, to be honest I don't think it's that bad. As long as your foot isn't hurt by it," the brunette mentioned, taking note of the fact that Nagito's foot was still just a tad bit soaked from it, "it looks a bit like the same thing that's on the bottom of my clothes. Maybe it has something to do with me." He then shrugged, honestly unsure. Then, a thought came by; could he *do* something to this? Since it looked like something on his clothing, perhaps he could; maybe he controlled it but he just didn't know that he could. Maybe it was a bit of a stretch, but it was surely possible. Simply using his mind to try and do something as he always did, something did actually happen to the foreign 'object'; though, instead of it particularly growing or moving, he instead sprouted out some new flower from it. It wasn't one he was able to grow ever before, but it looked just a bit like a few of his flowers. It started with some kind of flat surface, seeming to be earthly but Hajime couldn't quite put his finger on what he could compare it to. For now, he'd just call it a pad. And on top of that, a flower bloomed, that flower being purely white. They reminisced the form of regular white lilies. It was pretty nonetheless, but Hinata was mainly confused as to why he could only do that to the 'object', and why it was that out of all things.

He narrowed his eyes, fully bringing his hand over to touch both the new flower and the soaking thing. "Oh! I don't know why I created that, but it feels like the stuff that comes from your clouds when you're upset. It gets everything all soaked and it's pretty cold," he recognized, figuring that the cloudette likely was never able to sit under that. Hinata had felt it quite a few times, his opinion on it being mixed. Of course, he never liked seeing it because he knew Nagito was unhappy when it happened, though it would also help the grass, flowers, and mushrooms grow and bloom faster somehow. "I- I didn't know I could do that, but I don't think that's what it is, though. I've never been here so I couldn't have possibly caused it. It's something else," the albino sighed, his eyebrows furrowed in thought. Could it be possible that other people ruled over the sky too..? Maybe there were multiples of them when they didn't stretch out their area like Komaeda and Hinata? That thought was weirdly upsetting, and he tried his best to ignore it.

"Well, I don't think it's dangerous, so should we try to explore more? It might be healthy if we try and figure it out," the tan boy proposed, facing their forward direction in which they had been previously walking in. Nagito shivered, his teeth cringing at the words, "That's what you said before we met Kamukura." He didn't mean or say the words in any harsh way at all, it sounded more ginger and nervous just as it had been before they left and while they starting going out on their walk. Hinata smiled gently and replied, "I know, but what we saw was dangerous so it's pretty different. This isn't burning or anything, I think it'll actually be good if we try stretching out further to find whoever or whatever rules over this." His wording sounded as though they were well-thought out, being processed carefully but truly he just spoke them casually. However, Komaeda was still frisky and against the idea. His defenses were repetitive, all of them surrounding the fact that their encounter with the volcanic representing man was horrible and that he felt comfortable being unknowing and collected where they were. Eventually, the brunette formed the perfect set of words for the other boy, as he picked him up to a standing point.

"Think of it this way, Nagito," he began with a hum, one of the softest and cutest of smiles on his face, "if you and I didn't decide to explore as we did before we even met, we wouldn't have found each other. Maybe everything with Kamukura wasn't good at all, but that doesn't mean it'll stay the same for everyone and everything we come across. Not to say that I'll end up finding someone else I could love just as much as you, but I think you get the point." He chuckled a little at the end, a soft peck on the nose being the period of his mini speech to Nagito. Komaeda shivered again, but this time it was in a good way. It was the shiver that he got right down his spine whenever Hinata got so damned soft, it always touched him right in the heart and got him to melt. He nodded his head lightly, finally agreeing. There could absolutely be a bad possibility to this, just like last time, but maybe this time it could be a bit better. Like he said, if they didn't take the individual steps that they did in the beginning then they wouldn't have met, and they could hardly even think of something worse than that. "Okay, I suppose you have a point there," he smiled, his eyes drifting off in front of them. Ahead, in just a bit of distance, seemed to be an area that wasn't recognizable at all. It didn't have grass over it, no, instead it had something more pale and beige and it didn't even slightly resemble the shape of grass or any other earthly plant. it seemed flat, barely even bumping up and down. Ahead of that was a dark blue with some white mixed in, looking like the sky when it was rather gloomy, but it took on more of a liquified form. Unlike the beige in front of it, it continuously moved, like long plucks of grass when it became windy. But it seemed more dangerous, splashing in angry directions as if it meant business. And that was exactly what the thing in Komaeda's dream looked like.

His confidence shrunk as he noticed the resemblance, once again feeling as if he shrunk and became helpless. "I- I think that's what this all comes from," he stuttered, wishing he could turn back on his heels now. He just didn't because of what Hinata had just told him. They could find something good out of this if they truly looked into it. But hell, the reoccurring image of Hajime being swallowed up by that thing, never to be seen again made him tremble and shake. What would he even be by then? Just the sky without his earth, quite literally. "Probably! Let's go have a look," Hinata beamed, already taking his directions there in excited steps. Unintentionally, some small little flowers bloomed beside him thanks to his bright excitement, making out what could be seen as a little path. The pale boy followed along, trying to match up to the pace that the brunette had but failing. He formed a little cloud that he could float on so that he'd be faster, and maybe by being higher in the air he wouldn't be touched and hurt by the liquid; if it came down to it, he would pull the brown haired boy up with him so he would be assured safety.

They reached the flat, beige surface and it instantly felt odd. Not in a bad way, it wasn't like stepping onto burning coal and rock, but it was definitely unexpected. It was grainy, all of it being specks and bits. It was warm too, almost warmer than the grass was, and something about how warm and weirdly comfortable it was made Hajime want to dig his feet into it and keep them there for a while. Komaeda, on the other hand, didn't really want to have the dangers of putting anything on his person in it until it was assured safe. "Nagito, this actually feels really soft," the spiky headed one hummed, looking up at the cloudette. ".. Is it? Are you sure it isn't hurting you?" He asked, lowering his cloud a little so it was just barely an inch over the ground. "Mhm, try putting your feet in it! It actually feels great; kinda weird, but great!" While the brunette was likely unreasonably excited over this, Komaeda couldn't help but find it admirable. He wanted to cuddle his beaming excitement, if that made sense. Without much thinking, he lowered his feet down onto the ground, letting his feet feel the utter strangeness of the newfound area. He didn't know how to describe what it felt like, all he really knew was that he actually quite liked it. If he had to describe it then he'd have to say it was calming, but that wouldn't even be nearly enough to describe what it actually was like. He glanced around now, truly taking in the area. Apart from the beige surface, there were some pale gray rocks sitting around, seeming to be of normal heat. They didn't burn and steam, so that was at least something. And along the ground, there were strange little things buried or simply laid on top of it. They were more colored, representing the sort of colors that flowers would have. They were each shaped interestingly, some representing each other while others stood unique. They looked like they were made with the same sort of brand of material of rocks, so he couldn't help but wonder if they were created by Izuru. However that was nearly impossible, the ravenette wouldn't make anything nearly as pretty. They'd be gloomier if they were, but they all had colors such as pale blue, pale pink, pale white, or even some pale orange or yellow.

And finally, there was the crashing liquid ahead. It was even brighter of a blue up close, and did indeed resemble the lower half of Hajime's clothes even more than the little puddle they found did. Not that it would make any difference if he tried controlling it now, since it was the same thing wasn't it? There was no way it was different. The blue liquid crashed left, right, backwards, and forwards, going in every possible direction that it could. It would hit against the beige ground quite softly however, which was a weird but nice sight to see. These little crashes would make the surface even flatter and smoother than it was before, along with looking soaked and shiny. On top of that, they would also leave behind a few things. These things looked like grass, but not quite. They were indeed green and wavy, but they didn't look like they'd be warm and soft. They looked more like they would be slimy and sticky to the touch, leaving behind green marks on your skin. Plus, it was wider than any of the grass plucks that Hajime grew, so Nagito really could not tell if those belonged to Hajime or not. "Hajime, did you grow that?" He asked aloud, pointing over to the slimy grass-like things. "Huh?" Hinata mumbled, moving his feet out from the ground he had buried them in and instead bringing himself closer to that. He touched the foreign thing, his surprised and sort-of repulsed look proving that it was indeed slimy. "I don't know. I think I did, it looks like something I could grow, but I've never really made anything like this," he spoke, sighing. To test this out, he began to try to concentrate on maybe trying to grow it. If this thing started blooming from the ground, then that would at least answer one question; but it would bring more of them with it.

And indeed, a few did grow, but they were near the rocks. They came out dry, but as soon as the liquid hit them they became slimy just like the rest. "I suppose it is mine. Weird," he sighed, putting his hands on his hips and trying to think. Komaeda looked around nervously, trying to look out for whoever controlled this. He both wanted to see this individual and didn't, having no clue as to what they could be like. If he were to take any judgement as to how the blue thing moved and thrashed, then he'd have to guess angry but he couldn't truly say..

Meanwhile, Hinata turned towards the blue, to once again try and control it. Maybe it would work now if he tried; surely there had to be more of a reason to him having that on his clothes outside of creating a pad and a flower. And from this, he didn't just get a few more pads and flowers. He got more of those strange grass-like lines, too. And that was completely it, the liquid did not move to his command, proving that it absolutely was not his. "The reason it's on your clothes is probably because you can at least grow that grass and the flower kind of things, so you at least are a part of it but not that much," Komaeda spoke, almost as if he had read the other's mind. The brunette nodded, as that actually made some sense. And that was also probably why it didn't take up a lot of space on his clothing in the first place, more of it being focused on his more earthly abilities. "Makes sense," he commented, stepping away from the liquid and taking his place back with Nagito. The cloudette mentally sighed in relief, thankful that the boy didn't go too close to it. He then glanced towards their beige land, a question suddenly popping into his head that then slid right from his mouth. "Do you think you can grow anything off of this? Maybe it's just like the blue thing, and since it's not grass it will be a different kind of flower. We should make some flower crowns if there are any new flowers," he hummed, smiling at the idea. He definitely didn't like the entire factor that they would be making flower crowns right beside the threatening pounds of liquid, but as long as they were a good distance away then he was sure it would be enjoyable. The more to add to Hajime's garden the better, right? It was a common fact in Nagito's mind that that would make the boy beyond happy.

Before Hinata could do so, however, the blue liquid began to break apart in the middle of it. It spread apart, forming some kind of path there that they could walk between if they truly wanted to. Some strange colored plant-like things were shown to be underneath all this, leading to some questions but there was an even bigger focus here than that small detail. On this path came an individual, one that you could tell ruled over this. Their hair was long, going down past their waist, but it wasn't messy like Komaeda's. It was more graceful and straight, though it did flow a little as the waves moved. They seemed to be soaked with the blue substance, though unaffected overall as their hair wasn't limp and down. It only made them shine, nearly seeming like a second sun. As for their clothing, it perfectly stood as what Komaeda would guess was in the water. Those colorful rock-like things were used as decorations all over them, and those slimy grasses were used as shoes. Apart from that, their clothes made up of the usual material though it seemed more thin and graceful. It was semi-transparent cloth both on their upper half and her lower half, and it was a sapphire shade of blue. Their upper half was cut from the bottom to where it would expose their stomach and leave a gap, and the sleeves were short and thin but they puffed out royally. Across the collar line, that was where some of the decorations came in, the most beautiful and brightest of them all lying right in the middle. And as for the lower half, it resembled more of a skirt, but it was more flowing and outgoing than the ones both Hajime and Komaeda had. If there were wind at the moment, it would look absolutely cinematic.

Apart from all that, their eyes shone brightly and looked beyond soft. It was surprising to figure that they were the one that controlled the frantic and threatening waves. "Oh! Good evening, both of you!" They called out, a bright smile appearing on their face. They hurried past the big blue body of liquid, rushing over to the other two individuals. They seemed beyond friendly and welcome to them, making them surprised but at the same time quite joyous. They weren't like Izuru at all, not even close, at least as far as they were seeing and that was all they needed to greet the other with open arms. "Good evening," they both hummed, Nagito's hum still sounding sort of ginger and nervous. It was kind of like how he was when he first met Hajime; he was confused, but he had a good mindset at hand nonetheless. In the end, he would at least like to believe that he'd end up friendly with this person so he could warm up to the idea of spreading out even more.

"I couldn't help but notice that seaweed was starting to grow more around here, along with some of those," they spoke, pointing over to one of the pads with flowers gracing along the waves, "I've never seen them before, plus I've never actually seen the seaweed grow! So I was curious." They hummed a little, their words sounding more curious than upset or angry over the newfound changes in their environment. They then looked over to Hinata, smiling gently, "I suppose it was you, then!" They giggled, having a clear excitement to meeting them both. Nagito honestly wondered if it could be possible that Izuru would be the only unpleasant individual they'd ever meet. It sounded as though it could be possible. "Oh, yeah, it was, actually. But I've never grown them before finding.. Whatever that is," the brunette replied, looking back over at the blue substance. The other gasped in surprise, as if they expected everyone around to know its name and what it was. "That's water! At least, that's what I've decided to call it. Have you really never seen it before?" They asked, looking at the both of them curiously. They both shook their head, leaving out the fact that Nagito did technically see it before; but it was just in a dream, so he couldn't quite count it. Remembering that dream, he asked a sudden but important question. "Is it dangerous?" He asked, his eyes narrowed and in need of an answer. "Well, I'd like to think it is. It's safe for me, but I don't know about anyone else," they shrugged. Their expression told that that wasn't particularly an answer they wished to give, wishing that they had a more comforting one instead. But realistically, they really could not say if their safety was secured or not.

"Oh, do you have any animals in there?" Hajime asked, his eyes squinting at the water to try and pick out a sheep or a bird or something. He really didn't know why he asked, of course it didn't, even if it is safe. He never tried creating any animals for the water, only focusing on the pads with flowers and the slimy grass. "'Animals'? What are those?" They asked. Hinata hummed, unsure of how to explain it; therefore, he focused on letting one appear out of no where as he usually would, right on the beige ground. As he intended, a baby sheep appeared before the blonde's eyes. They gasped lightly, immediately seeming softened and positively taken aback by the animal. "They look so fluffy! This is what an animal is?" They asked, bending down to sit on their knees so that they could be nearer the confused but adapting baby. "Well, there's different kinds, it's just depending on what I want," Hajime explained, smiling softly as he quickly created a bird to prove his different kinds point. The kind stranger nodded, then looking over to the nearly mute Komaeda. "What do you do?" They asked, genuinely wanting to know, "Your clothes look a lot like the blue thing above the water. Do you control that?" The cloudette nodded, now also smiling. "Yes, I actually do. It's the sky, and I can also create clouds. That's the white stuff on my clothes," he explained simply, then demonstrating by letting a cloud appear that he could float on once again, since his other one had gone away.

"That's so interesting! I was curious about if anything else around here was owned by others, but I've never seen anyone else except myself. So it's truly nice to meet you both," they rambled, pure excitement fluttering in their aura, tone, and expression. "I'm Sonia Nevermind, by the way! Do you both have names, by chance?" They then questioned, figuring it was important that they knew; that is, if having a name was something that they both were accustomed to. They both introduced themselves, and dozens of other questions began to ensue. Each of them centered around each others' abilities and what they particularly did; such as, Komaeda had to note that his clouds would become dark and gloomy when he felt upset, loud and scary noises erupting from them sometimes as well. And if Hajime ever got upset over something, the ground would begin to crack and shake. Or on the more positive sides, if Nagito and Hajime were both beyond happy with one another, a bright and colorful rainbow would form usually after the former was upset. On Sonia's side, they told the two that when they got upset themselves, the waves in the water would become larger and would sometimes reach up to the grass (which she referred to as "thin seaweed") and become extremely dangerous if anyone were nearby. Or, if they didn't want to do that, the water would suddenly freeze and become as solid as rock, only being able to go back to fluid liquid if they weren't upset anymore. And if they were happy, some of the water would flee up to the sky as if it had a little happy mind of its own, going somewhere they had no clue of but they were sure it was good.

They also asked if they'd met anyone else besides each other and them, which was a touchy question of course. How exactly could they kindly word their experiences? They couldn't, at least not right now, so Nagito left that at, "We have met one other person, but it's not really something we like talking about." They immediately understood, or at least the best they could, and asked another question but it was aimed at the brunette. "Is there anything else you can do besides making animals and seaweed and those other things? Like, what're the red and white dotted things on your clothes? Or the bright pink things?" They asked, poking a finger at them. "Oh-! Those are mushrooms and flowers. I do make them, and I love making them. I have gardens full of them back where we mainly live," he explained, smiling humbly at the thought, "actually, we were looking around out here more so that I could have more space to make them. I was going to make one for Nagito." With his last sentenced, he glanced over at the now flustered cloudette and swiftly pecked his cheek. Nagito didn't know why, but he felt a sort of embarrassment as Hinata mentioned his generosities and quite obvious romantic tendencies. "That's so sweet!.. But, um, what's a garden? I'm sorry, I don't quite understand," Nevermind chuckled nervously, though they still found the other two quite sweet together. They didn't know much about what was outside of their water-filled area, but they did at least know what love was. These two obviously had it, it didn't even have to be said or teased.

"It's basically a collection of them, mostly flowers. Bunch of different kinds, too, but usually I try to have a theme with gardens. It could be the color or the kind, or just whatever looks nice. And usually I surround the gardens with bushes," the brown haired boy added to try and answer their question. Though, it didn't quite do enough. "Bushes? What are those?" They then asked, earning a quick explanation for that as well. "Well, they're like trees, but smaller and thinner; it's just a bunch of leaves and twigs, but some of them have roses on them."

"... Trees?"

It became pretty obvious that it would take a long time to demonstrate and explain every little thing about the earth and the sky that the two knew, so the tan boy decided to leave it off at the fact they could learn more later. It would take a while to figure out everything as time went on, just as it did for both the cloudette and the brunette in the beginning. Of course, when Komaeda explained lightning and thunder when they first met it was downright confusing and odd to Hajime and took him some time to understand and learn. It'd definitely be the same for Sonia, too. Though, for now he actually did want to try growing some things in this area. Considering the fact that different things would grow on and in water, he wondered if that was the same case for the grainy ground. Perhaps it had a specific flower to it as well; and if it did, he could imagine it was the same shade of beige as the sand below, being fitting. Though, when he focused on trying to grow something, absolutely anything, a quite different result grew instead.

At first, it looked a bit like a bush; growing just a few inches away from where the grass and the grainy surface met. Though it wasn't quite like any other bush, it looked more like it was mixed with lots of long and averagely thick grass along the leaves. And it wasn't a dark pine shade like the rest of the bushes he grew, instead it was brighter; more of a fern or parakeet shade if he had to be specific. The way the leaves and the grass-leaves poked out was so unique and different from everything else he grew, along with being weirdly pleasing to look at. Not that the other bushes weren't pleasing, but there was just something about this in specific. And on top of that, a few flowers bloomed, those being ones that he'd never created before. They were a beautiful and pleasing shade of pink, along with veins of white spreading along the petals. The ends of each petal weren't smoothly done and perfect like some flowers, but it looked nice and fitting for this kind of flower in specific. They looked torn in a decorative way, such a nice bit of a detail. And in the middle, it was poked out and more of a yellow shade along with poking out some pollen as well. To put it shortly, they looked really, really pretty.

He tried growing more of them, and indeed more came out. Most of them were pink, but some of them were light blue/dim lavender or even white with pink veins instead. Hinata smiled at them, a hand reaching out to touch one of them. They smelt really nice up close and were quite thin but in a graceful kind of way. Komaeda was also quite surprised by this, also taking note that he'd never seen those flowers nor bushes before and they were indeed very beautiful. They were the perfect kind of flowers that would make up a flower crown, if only they weren't so delicate and flimsy in their petal weight. They'd look wonderful atop anyone's head. "Ah, those are certainly pretty! I don't think you've grown those before, right?" He asked, also nearing towards the bushes to take in the sight of the new flowers and bushes. Sonia stood confused, once again unknowing to what the other two's knowledge of the flowers was so they wouldn't know about what they have grown and haven't. Either way, all they knew was that indeed, the flowers were very pretty and a nice addition to what she'd called the beach. If they were at the perfect angle, a good distance behind these bushes and looking ahead at the waves of water, it would look so beautiful and cinematic.

"No, I haven't. I guess it only grows in this stuff," Hinata hummed, pointing at the grainy beige surface. "That's sand," Nevermind corrected, smiling warmly. "Oh. Sand. Well, it grows in the sand only I suppose. Unless maybe I wanted to grow these in grass, maybe I could, but probably not considering it's never happened before," the brunette shrugged, plucking out one of the pink flowers. The scent spread out once it was taken off of its stem, the scent once again being refreshing. If Hinata had to come up with a scent name right on the spot, he believed the most fitting-sounding word would have to be tropical. As they looked, the petals were thin and a bit flimsy, but he believed they could be enough to create a nice flower crown for a while. He grabbed the rest of the stem that this specific flower came from, trying to get all of it so that he'd have enough for the size of a head. He then scooted over to the white haired boy, wrapping it around his head to test out the size. "Ah- Hajime," Komaeda mumbled, flustered once again as he knew that this implied Hinata was making a flower crown for him. He loved whenever the brunette made them with him in mind, as they always ended up beautiful and long-lasting. His last one had just recently gotten blown off and pushed far into the wind in the direction in which Kamukura lived. Therefore it was practically confirmed that it was long gone and destroyed by now, so it was about time for a new one. Especially considering the occasion of finding a new kind of flowers.

"What, do you not want one?" Hinata questioned, even if he already knew the answer. Before he even asked it, he could already predict the desperate "No! You can make one!" It was quite obvious that the boy just got all embarrassed and flustered whenever the boy did something so kind and generous, especially when it was in front of another person. The answer he expected was the one he got, being a really sure "no" and that he wanted the tan boy to make a flower crown for him. As Hinata began doing this, Sonia watched as the two seamlessly bonded and fluffily bickered, Nagito only participating by running a hand over one of the white and pink veined flowers. The blonde one found it sweet to see them both, not finding it weird or embarrassing at all as the pale one wanted to believe. They even pushed it forward, letting water appear out of thin air as a puddle on the sand in between them, and it was shaped as a heart. It wasn't huge, it was just a moderate size, but at least big enough to where the others could see it and take note of it beyond "oh, that just appeared". Hinata just found it charming, rolling his eyes once he noticed it with a smile on his face as he continued putting the flower crown together with every color of the flower. As for the white headed one, he got the bright shade of pink over his cheeks once again and his glance shot towards Sonia. "Th-thanks?" He mumbled, unsure of what to say. It kind of just proved that they found them both cute, so it was technically a compliment wasn't it?

The flower crown that the tan male was making included every color in a pattern; pink, white, blue. Most of the other flower crowns that Komaeda got were centered around one color, as it looked more organized that way, but he could let this slide. These three together looked absolutely wonderful. Since the flowers were of moderate size, it didn't take that long to complete the crown. The brunette finished it off by assuring the flowers that they would live longer than they usually could when not attached to their birth stem. It was against how things should usually work within nature, but he could make an exception when it came to Komaeda. Finally, he placed the crown atop the fluffy haired boy's head, and it fit perfectly. The shade of the blue matched almost perfectly with his clothes, and while the pink didn't quite sit with it it still looked beautiful and somehow fitting. Against the soft wind that was blowing through the air, it looked even more stunning as the petals slightly moved and shook in a delicate and graced way. Despite how light these petals were, they still did work very well for a flower crown and would last a decent amount of time, before Hajime had to make another one just as beautiful and fitting.

"What do you think we should name these kinds of flowers?" Hinata asked, a hand running along the flowers atop his head to then run his fingers through his fluffy and soft hair. The cloudette thought for a moment. That was a good question, though it was surprising that he was asking Nagito for a name; but sweet, at the same time. The mere fact that at some point, some random stranger on earth would find these flowers and know that they had a name the earth got from his boyfriend the sky.. It was an oddly comforting thought that made said sky uncontrollably smile. "Hmm..." He hummed, looking back at the flowers on the bush. Suddenly, a name just popped into his head that slid out of his tongue perfectly. "Hibiscus. It sounds sweet and beach-y to me, so I think it would fit pretty well," he answered, smiling warmly at the other. "That sounds perfect!" Sonia commented, completely showing their support for the name. These flowers and just the pure name of them made an excellent and perfect addition to their beach, and it made them wonder what else Hajime could grow to add on to that. Or even, Nagito could make some clouds above that would be beautiful to gaze up to when inside of the water. The thought made them feel all squishy and soft inside.

"Aw, man. I wanted to call them Komaedas," Hajime pouted, half-jokingly. "You said that about the last ones we found!" The cloudette chuckled, smiling even more to the reoccurring idea of having flowers or any plant directly named after him. "Maybe next time then," the brunette added, shrugging his shoulders as he kissed the other's nose softly, "but I think the name you gave them is perfect. Hibiscus. I like that, a lot. It sounds like it could be a kind of cloud." It really didn't, at least not to Nagito, but his heart melted at the comment anyways. The brown haired boy then glanced back down at the heart puddle in the sand, sticking a finger in it. Then, an idea popped into his head. "Sonia, do you think you would be open to making these in the gardens I make?" He asked, looking back towards the water goddess, "I think having shapes like these near the flowers would be beautiful. Especially in the garden I'm going to make for Nagito," he then added, looking back at the pale boy. The thought of that on top of the boy's last comment made his heart absolutely melt into a puddle of its own, if it hadn't completely already.

The blonde one was surprised by the question, honestly not expecting it but was completely welcome to the idea. "Oh! I suppose I would be fine with it, that does sound quite pretty. I just don't quite understand what all of that is yet," they answered, smiling kindly. They created a few other puddles, one just being a plain old circle that they saw earlier and the other sort-of resembling the hibiscus flower's shape. "You'll just have to tell me what you want and where you want it," they added, laughing slightly. "Got it. It would just be a really nice addition," Hajime hummed, mindlessly beginning to grow smaller bunches of flowers in the sand. Once again, they were ones that he didn't recognize at all and were completely new, but he ignored that this time. They were the smaller ones, barely being the size of a third of your finger, so he grabbed a full stem and tied it together to where it resembled a ring. He also gave this to Nagito, putting it on his right ring finger instead. When he made a flower crown for the other, he could hardly ever go without making one of these, which Nagito basically had an endless collection of at this point. The flower on this one was a pretty shade of purple, being in the middle of being dark and being light. They looked a bit like a tulip, but more tropical in a sense.

Throughout the rest of that evening, until the sun went down and dark blue started to instead fill the sky along with small and sparkling bits of white. But even then, Komaeda and Hinata didn't even begin to turn back to leave. Sonia seemed like they believed it was time to though, as they turned and looked back at the water as it was their home. Though, they noticed that the other two weren't leaving so they looked back to question so. "Are you two planning on staying throughout the night?" They asked, tilting their head to the side. They both nodded their heads, almost in sync with each other. "Yeah. I was thinking it would be nice to stargaze while in the sand," Nagito answered before Hajime could, unknowingly sharing the same reason as he did. Great minds think alike, they supposed.

"Stargaze?" Sonia questioned, earning a soft sigh from Hajime. "The white things in the sky are called stars, that's what Nagito decided to call them," he shrugged, "so stargazing is just watching the stars before you sleep. It's really nice." He hummed. The blonde one chuckled, nodding in understanding as they glared up at the said stars. "I see. Well, in the morning you should *probably* wash up in the water. The sand gets really messy when you're in it for a long time like that," they advised with all due kindness, then continuing to walk into the water. Before they completely left, they hummed a simple "Goodnight!" with a wave.

"Goodnight," they both replied, mostly ignoring their first comment as they didn't know what they meant for now. They lied down, glaring up at the stars now all alone with each other. The sheep from a while ago and the bird as well have long since left, going to find a life for themselves far away from the beach. "So it wasn't that bad, was it? Huh?" Hajime chuckled a bit teasingly, poking at the other's squishy little cheek. He giggled, quietly mumbling, "I suppose not."
