Summary
“Y’know Ed, I don’t think you ever finished teaching me how to be a pirate.”
Ed turns to look at Stede. “Oh yeah mate? What did I leave out?” He rubs a thumb across Stede’s wrist, watching as he flounders, the color rising in his cheeks.
Stede looks at Ed, opens his mouth, darts his eyes away, swallows, tries again, and eventually ducks his head and mumbles something toward his shoes.
Ed smiles and squeezes Stede’s wrist comfortingly. “What was that?”
Stede straightens up and musters all of his gentleman’s courage. It reminds Ed a bit of how he was at the party, posturing and out of his depth. “I said the art of buggery if you must know.”
