Work Text:
Doth mother know you weareth her drapes?
Was ironically the first thing that popped into Izuku’s head as he totally trashed his mother’s washing machine. Clothes flying everywhere, suds and soap in his hair, his eyes, his mouth. Dirty wet clothing strewn from the ceiling. It was from a movie, Izuku thought but he couldn't remember which.
Kacchan sat blinking at him from the floor, piles of clothes on his lap. The washing powder in his hands, and the conditioner in Izuku’s.
Izuku opened his mouth to ask what the fuck just happened when nothing but a scream cut through the air. To be honest, it did look like a murder scene. Water dyed red from one of Izuku’s red sneakers that had snuck in, on the walls. Katsuki lying on the floor, and Izuku flung over the dryer.
When it was all cleared up, that it was in fact both Izuku and Katsuki’s fault that the washing machine exploded – even though they don’t know how they did it, she cracked down hard. Katsuki was sent home, with an irate Inko on his tail.
Izuku could only imagine the fit that Mitsuki would pitch at her son, and almost smiled as he scrubbed the floor and ceilings and washed the clothes with his hands. Kacchan’s hunched shoulders and lowered head spoke of shame to Izuku, even if it looked like anger.
Inko had come back and had been watching Izuku work, her anger stewing, until he had finished.
“I spoke with your father. We think that a trip to America would be good, work with him at the company for a few weeks.” She paused, reading the indignant shock on his face, “One to pay for the washing machine, which you magically broke, and two so that you are grounded from your friends. Gods I know you would love to be grounded to your room with just your notebook, so I had to be creative. America, three days. Hisashi already booked the flights. Be glad he was excited to see you and so brought first class.”
His mouth hung open enough for her to walk away with a tired sigh and a, “close your mouth Izuku, you’ll catch flies.”
An alligator snapping turtle would have been jealous of the speed and the sound of his jaw snapping shut.
Izuku hung a sign from his window, the one that was opposite Katsuki’s window, it simply read.
Kacchan
I am leaving for America,
This is all your fault.
XOXO love your Deku.
Rolling past the Bakugou house, Mitsuki and Masaru watched from the open door way, disappointment colouring their faces. Mitsuki was even shaking her head at him, and Izuku could see she was holding back laughter. Shooting her a betrayed look, his eyes caught Katsuki’s through the window.
He had middle finger out, a sign in his hand. It read simply in reply.
Good fucking riddance, stay there.
XOXO don’t fucking call me ever again.
Slamming the door of the taxi felt satisfying in the face of such rudeness. He reached for his phone before remembering that his mother had taken it and replaced it with a nokia brick. Well, he though laying back into his seat, at least he had snake.
-
By the time he had got to the airport he had beaten snake so many times that he had started to create letters with the snake. “s” were still beyond him, and so were “w” and “m” so no Dadzawa or Dadmight notes to himself. Sadly, he had to go see his lovely father who he hadn’t seen in years.
And who seemingly only grew interested in him again because he had a quirk.
Slumping down in the first class seat, the comfiest chair he had ever sat on, and thought that it was very useful to have a emotionally distant but very rich father. He beats Todoroki two for two in that one. Izuku’s own father was so guilty about abandoning him he got his credit card without having to do anything.
And he never had to see him! Meanwhile Todoroki both lived with the man, the man himself was very stingy with his massive wealth. And questioned and sent back every All Might collector item Todoroki brought. Izuku on the other hand had free reign on his fathers card.
It was free real estate baby, and he and his mum had already brought easily sold and marketable jewellery and stock to keep them afloat when mum divorced him. Which would be as soon as Izuku got back to Japan.
He still had to pay back the money for the washing machine, even though they were loaded through dad, and it seemed a last minute flash of guilt from Inko to send him to his father. To see him once before he was cut out completely out of his life.
The plane ride was blissful, he had not slept on such a comfortable seat ever in his life. He didn’t dream and he was disappointed about leaving the plane! Even though that was more to do with seeing his dad then any desire to want to stay on the plane.
Passing through the checks with ease, he was increasingly glad for his extra English lessons with Present Mic – Dadmic as Jirou calls him – as he glided through and saw his name for pick up. A gorgeous blacked out window limousine was parked haphazardly on the curb, and while that was weird – Izuku didn’t think that much about it. His dad was useless enough to hire a driver who couldn’t drive.
Sitting down on the second most comfortable chair he had ever sat on, he totally did not see seeing Tomura Shigaraki in the drivers seat. The doors locked as soon as he had shut the door, and with a sigh Izuku noticed that he had a gas mask on.
Falling unconscious in seconds all Izuku could think was that he was eternally grateful for Tomura Shigaraki kidnapping him so he wouldn’t have to see his dad. And it would guilt his mother into letting him come home early and to let his friends console him! Win Win.
Slowly he came too in a dark warehouse, Tomura was to the side of him, and he guessed with his incessant complaining the rest of the League where somewhere nearby. He was staring at a plane wall, and when he turned his head this way and that, it was container on the left and cement on the right. Slowly, he rotates his wrist as Tomura slides up to him with the fakest smile on his face and his teeth gritted.
“Sensei wanted to see you. He requested you stay alive. You better be pleased I have self control.”
Izuku blinked at him his face scrunching, with a questioning tone he said, “Thank you?”
“I still hate you, you little All Might copy cat. Here he comes, I’m untying your ropes now. So don’t like punch me or anything.”
“Uh huh, sure I promise.”
“Izuku I can see your fingers crossing, I won’t be untying you until you pinkie swear to not hit me. My health bar is low atm, so I need you to not be a sneak right now.”
“I don’t want to touch your crusty little fingers, you have some nerve asking me to touch your fingers. When you have a finger based quirk.”
“You know what, you little shi- Sensei, please do something with him. I am going to implode if I don’t get to at least punch his smile off his face. I’ve been good haven’t I?”
Izuku could see him slump, as he turned Izuku around in his chair, his ropes falling off as All for one stopped in front of Izuku.
The betrayed side-eye that Tomura received when Izuku realised who was in front of him was scathing. In retaliation Tomura kicked the chair he had just vacated. It was in face a lose-lose situation with two man children.
“Pipe down Tenko Shimura.”
“Shut up Izuku Shigaraki.”
Stepping in before his son and pseudo-son started a fist fight, All for one smoothly greeted his son.
“Hello Izuku, I think giving me One for all would be the perfect punishment for destroying the washing machine. You would even be quirkless again! Perfect, now you would have no choice but to give up heroics. Even better.”
Holy fucking shit balls, his father was All for One. What kind of fucked up troll of fate fucked up so badly. Hisashi Midoriya, the wettest business man who would wet himself if Inko was mad at him, was fucking All for one.
Dodging a hand he thought he must have had the worst luck in the world, side-stepping an attempted hair ruffle, he groaned at his fate, watching in horror at the kissy face the greatest villain in the known world, Izuku promised himself that it would get better. His mind was a constantly screaming “WHAT THE FUCK WHAT THE FUCK WHAT THE FUCK” before All for one chided him for his language. His own mental anguish coming out as muttering.
Pausing as he considered being told off for language by the greatest mass murder in the whole fucking galaxy, Izuku was caught off guard when hands, followed by large muscled arms wrapped around him in a crushing embrace. Staring at where Izuku thought a camera would be a good place to go, Izuku stared at the camera. Before powering up One for All and booking it.
If only he could smash his face in again, it would have been universal justice.
Nevertheless he knew All Might’s number off by heart, he would understand that this was in fact a dire situation. It would be simple enough to evade his father for a few days right?
