Summary
Greed fills the soul of the kingdom up north, the Red Kingdom, Rødtrike. The king's eyes fill ooze with red passion as he stands above a map of a world he tries to conquer. Every village, every kingdom will soon be under the control of the Red Empire. Checkmate. But who's in check? Protests and rebellions arise across the land. As the rebels' swords draw closer to the king's neck, the king's children are forced to flee the castle. Confused, alone and in enemy territory, Tord and Tori of the fallen Rødtrike are forced to live amongst commoners and rebels alike. Things are going smoothly in their plans to keep on the down-low until a certain eyeless pair unknowingly intercepts their secrets.

Tord and Tori are twins and they're also royals who are forced to leave. They then find some random village while trying to keep their identities hidden. And of course, they meet Tom and Tamara and they hopelessly fall in love with each other because I said so :)
