Chapter Text
T ommy groaned, laying restlessly in bed, the only light in his face being the light blaring from his computer screen. The words had begun to blur and run together, so he decided for once to take a break.
"Oh hey." He smiled, feeling the shake of his bed, and a heavy body lay across his lap. "Hey boy, I'm sorry I haven't fed you yet." He apologized petting Walter, who's tail wagged.
"Come on, I'll feed you now, alright." With that, Walter sat up quickly, fumbling off the bed and into the hall just outside Tommy's door.
Tommy sat his computer down and yawned as he got up to follow Walter. “I’m doing that tomorrow," as he followed Walter down the short hall, a thought crossed his mind, and he froze. “Shit, I didn't do that coding project!”
'Knock' 'Knock'
"Oh, um, coming!" He rushed to open the door and was met with his brother.
"Hello," Wilbur said with a smile.
Tommy smiled upon seeing him. "hello wilbur."
Wilbur stood in the doorway with a grin on his face. "Hey Toms, mind if I come in?" he asked.
"Oh, yeah, yeah, sure." Tommy moved aside, letting him in.
Wilbur walked in, glancing at the visible bags under Tommy's eyes. "Have you been sleeping much, mate?" he asked. Tommy's eyes shot left to right.
"Yeah, yeah, I have been... trying," he chuckled nervously.
He was met with an unamused stare from Wilbur. "For fuck sakes, Tommy gets some rest."
Tommy closed the door. "I try. I really do. it's just hard."
Wilbur sighed, passing the couch and being met with a happy Walter, who jumped at his leg, barking. "Hello, Wal—" the packet on the coffee table caught his attention. "Tommy, have you had a break?" he asked.
"Well, I made myself breakfast this morning—or was that yesterday?" Tommy questioned himself.
Wilbur groaned. "Fuckin hell, thats not a break, Tommy." He glanced around the living room. "Watering your— plants... and you haven't done that," he gestured towards Tommy's dead plants, which sat withering by the window.
"oh..."
"Come on, Toms!" Wilbur laughed.
Tommy took a breath as his vision went blurry. "Ok, ok, fine, I'll go to bed; I was going anyway."
"I'll make sure of that." Wilbur led him to his room and tucked him into bed, and Tommy was quick to fall asleep. The smile on Tommy's face was all he needed.
"Good night, Tommy." He kissed his forehead and headed to the door before seeing a large tarantula. "Oh, dear gods, heh, hey Shroud, nice to meet you. Bye." Wilbur rushed out of the room and left.

'So Fucking Inconsistant!' Tommy's alarm blared.
