Work Text:
Pink was not Sora’s favorite color. In the pile of blouses and shirts that Mimi held for her to try on in the shop’s fitting room, the pink one was the first one Sora rejected. Mimi pouted as she put it to the side.
Sora never went for the pink clothes or the toys that bedazzled the other girls when she was younger. When the limited choice came between pink and blue, Sora went against the norm and opted for blue, like the round hat with two strings that she begged her mom to buy her one day. Any shade of it always caught her eye. It was beautiful, it was calming. It was the color of the sky, like her name, after all.
She wondered if that was why she loved the color of his eyes.
Today, Sora settled to buy the nice blouse in blue, and Mimi sighed at Sora’s habitual nature. That was the blouse she would wear when she went to meet Yamato that evening for a date.
They greeted each other and talked for a while. And when Sora met his eyes just to see her favorite color, she smiled and caught the tinge of pink on his cheeks as he smiled back. It was one of the few times she found that color to be so endearing.
