It was a strange feeling. That boy was a stranger, a complete stranger who, like the others, was probably enjoying a well-deserved break. Yet, yet... Pat felt that something was different. Something incomprehensible, something that he wouldn't have been able to explain in words even if he had been a writer instead of an engineer. That stranger completely caught his attention. He controlled him, dominated him, kidnapped him with the gesture with which he pushed his hair back with his fingers. And almost without realizing it, Pat felt a sense of agony so deep in his heart it took his breath away. The same agony that those chocolate eyes seemed to have, there, on the face of that stranger sitting on the bench. And before he could know it, before he could foresee it, that boy looked up and his eyes focused on Pat's.
