Siren | Finnick Odair

Summary:

"He told me I belong in a churchyard"

"He told me I could walk away but I wouldn't get far"

"Tell me how do people know what is hurt, what is love?"

Leia Grey, a young seventeen-year-old girl, coming from district five, never would have thought she would be reaped for the 68th annual Hunger Games. She was hopeful and will-driven to win and become a victor to return to her family. Yet that didn't last long, as all she wanted to do was crumble into pieces as she heard her brother's name be announced as district five's male tribute.

Chapter 1: Siren

Chapter Text

The breeding ground of GREED is the central of Panem, the Capitol. The people from the Capitol have always been snakes—wolves in sheep's clothing. Always playing the part of a saint, granting mercy to those who are forsaken.

They say they should be grateful for the act of 'generosity' and 'mercy' they offer to the people they branded as traitors. But what exactly are generosity and mercy?

Is it when they steal from parents' of their children, putting them in arenas and forcing weapons unto their hands to slit each other's throats? And as the carnage unfolds, all Capitol residents watch on with smiles on their faces, finding amusement in someone else's agony. That's a very nefarious definition of mercy they came up with.

Behind the curtains of freedom was a shackle being placed around their throats. They've become Snow's toy dolls, dressing them up to the image that pleases him and forcing them into the spotlight to sell their bodies to those who lust for it.

Leia Grey, a seventeen-year-old girl from district five, never would've imagined that she would become one of Snow's toys. A naive girl thrown in a den with wolves as she becomes a piece of a play. A play where innocent people die and the devils spectate. Would she grow into a coward with tolerance to her abuse, or would she stand tall in defiance in the name of equality?

Gather all, as the siren calls; say would they freeze or melt the snow that would befall?
