Work Text:
Team woke up slowly, the sounds of quiet crying bringing him out of his sleep.
He couldn't remember if he'd had another nightmare but he wiped a hand across his face expecting to feel wetness but there was nothing.
Team was broken from his confused mind at the sound of more sniffles and he quickly whipped his head round to look at Win.
Win was still asleep but his face was scrunched up as tears fell from his eyes.
Team glanced at the clock behind Win and saw it was 4am. Win had a busy day and he knew how exhausted you can get after a nightmare so Team was hoping he could calm him and get him back to sleep as quickly as possible.
"Hia, wake up," Team said, gently squeezing his shoulder with a little shake.
When that didn't work, Team tried running his fingers through Win's hair which seemed to sooth him a little.
"Wake up, hia. You're having a bad dream," Team leant down to whisper in his ear.
Win stirred and Team pulled back to see his eyes slowly open. He looked confused for a moment before his eyes focused and he sat up quickly, pulling Team into a bone crushing hug.
"Team, you're here," Win cried harder, burying his face in Team's shoulder.
Team just let Win cry for a bit, rubbing one hand up and down his back as the other stroked his hair.
Once Win had calmed down enough to talk, Team pulled back slightly to see his face.
"Do you want to talk about it?" Team asked, cupping his jaw with both hands and wiping away Win's tears.
Win sniffled once more and cleared his throat before speaking. "I dreamt that I got back from London and you didn't want me anymore."
Team could see Win's eyes welling up again and his did the same seeing his boyfriend so upset.
Team leant forward to place a quick kiss on Win's lips before he pulled him into another hug.
"Nothing will ever make me leave you, not even us being apart for two years. We're going to see each other as much as possible, remember? I will still be here, waiting for you, when you get back. Okay?”
Win nodded into Team's shoulder and held him tighter.
"Let's lay back down," Team suggested, lowering them down until Team was on his back with Win's head on his chest. Team knew they’d need to talk about this more but that could wait until tomorrow.
"When did you get so level headed?" Win tried to joke before he was cut off with a yawn as Team gently ran his fingers through his hair.
"Sometimes you need someone to take care of you too, hia. Plus I'm not worried about London. I know I'll miss you like crazy but I also know you'll come back to me. I have no doubt about that.”
Win lifted his head up and looked down at Team for a moment, seeing so much love in the younger boys eyes.
He leant down and they shared a slow kiss before Win pulled away and laid back down, taking Team's other hand to hold.
"You have no idea how much I love you, Team," Win told him.
"I do know, hia. You show me everyday," Team replied, turning onto his side to pull Win against him, resting his chin on top of Win’s head.
"Sleep now and don't worry anymore. I love you so much too." Team said as Win fell back to sleep.
