“I wanted to see what’s so great about it,” Saint shrugged with a wry smile, diverting his path at the last minute to drop down beside Shin on the bed.
To anyone else, Saint’s response could be dismissed as nothing really, a typical excuse from a teenager wanting to sneak a drink, but Shin noticed the slight shift in his tone, and even with how unkempt he looked and acted, Shin caught the tension in his shoulders as he’d muttered the last part.
Or pre-falling out, Saint's sworn off drinking, until he tries it once in an attempt to figure his dad out. Shin's there to pick up the pieces when it inevitably doesn't help.
