Mysta looked down in shock and confusion at the scene before him.
A small child that looked an awful lot like Shu was staring up at him from the floor. Only with little hesitation the detective knelt down to be on eye level with the kid.
,,Shu?" Is all Mysta had to say before the child looked right in his eyes and replying.
,,Eyyy."
His previous questions now answered and replaced with new ones he stood up picking up the child along with him.
,,What happened to you?"
Shu as expected didn't answer and instead made grabby hands towards Mysta from where he was held up.
When the fox finally complied and held him closer the child happily hugged him and let out a few happy ,,eyys".
Not knowing what to make out of this situation Mysta now had a new goal: Find someone that actually knows what's going on and how to handle kids.
So his search began leading him back to the Luxiem home. As soon as Mysta stepped inside he heard loud pogging from the living room. Luca might not be the best option but it certainly would be worth a try Mysta thought as he approached the mafia boss.
,,Did Shu tell you what he was going to do today?" Mysta asked from behind Luca who was focusing on one of many video games.
,,He was going to test some potions, why?"
With slight protest Mysta pulled baby Shu off of him holding him out over the couch so Luca could see.
,,Is that Shu? That's not pog."
Luca stopped his game and gently held Shu to examine him. Mysta finally walked around the sofa and settled down next to him.
,,I found him like this nearby, at least we have a possible explanation as to what happened to him."
Luca nodded as he poked baby Shu's cheek.
,,What are we going to do with him?"
He inquired as he handed the child back to Mysta who clumsily accepted him.
,,Find a cure and do whatever you do to take care of a baby."
Silence fell over the two as they both knew they weren't up for the second task. Luckily as if on cue the house door opens as Ike makes an entrance.
,,I'm home!" The novelist happily greets them as the others reply in unison.
,,You might want to see this." Luca calls out once more as Mysta presents the baby shaking it a tad bit too fast. A quiet eyy leaves Shu's Louth as Ike finally looks over.
,,Oh gosh. Mysta don't shake him like that!"
Realizing what Mysta had done he quickly contained himself making sure the baby was alright before Ike snatched him up.
,,Did he mix up the potions?"
Ike asks no one in particular gaining the others attention.
,,Did he ask you about a potion?"
Luca quits his game before putting all his attention back to the others. Ike nods before he expands on the situation.
,,I had a book on potions lying around and he asked if he could have it for something he was trying out."
All three men stared at the baby now one step closer to solving their inconvenience yet so far from it. They didn't know where the book was afterall.
Throwing together a quick Masterplan and with the description of what the book looked like and where Mysta had found Shu they headed out to look for it.
They took turns holding Shu some more than others but all just as grateful that the child didn't seem very demanding. However that still didn't lead them closer to the book as they looked through each nook and cranny there was.
,,What about that alley over there?"
Ike suggested to which the small group immediately headed over but to no avail. It was an empty alley so in dissapointment they left.
,,Oh there he is!"
The all too familiar voice of their demon friend came from a door in the alley that hadn't been there before. Closely followed by Nina, Vox walked up to the rest of Luxiem and took Shu from Ike's hold.
,,We looked away for one second to grab the reversing potion and he disappeared."
Nina held up a vial with said potion as she leaned over baby Shu cooing.
,, Can't we just keep him like this a while longer?" She laughed when the child's eyes widened and shook his head slightly.
,,Wait, you knew about this?"
Mysta stared in disbelief at the two who just joined them.
,,Shu told us some incredible things about what he could do when he was just born. To prove what he said he prepared some potions."
Vox smiled at his friends as Nina fed the potion to Shu.
With a poof Shu grew back to his original state just slightly confused.
With a tap to Vox's arm Shu signalled to be let down from his hold before he faced his friends again.
,,Eyyy."
Shu grinned at them before chuckling to himself.
,,We wrecked our heads for an hour trying to solve this problem and you knew about this the whole time.." Mysta mumbled to himself in defeat as the Others just laughed.
,,Good to see you back." Luca ignored the misery just being happy to have his friend back in his original state.
,, Definitely, I'm just happy it wasn't a serious problem." Ike chimed in before taking another second to think.
,,What was so incredible of baby Shu that you had to see it for yourselves?" Tilting his head Ike looked at Shu.
,,You know just things like immediately being able to walk, talk, be fire resistant and-"
,,Fire resistant?! Did you set Shu on fire??"
Ike interrupted the sorcerer looking at Vox and Nina in horror before checking Shu over again.
,,He suggested it!"
Vox raised his arms up in defense as Ike began lecturing him as to how doing that was wrong on many levels.
,,I kinda want to see it too now.. you still got some of that potion?"
Mysta asked thinking he was being sneaky but Ike heard him.
,,Mysta, not you too!"
