   Summary

   If he could just get the pain to come back, to make the feeling return to him, to pretend that he was out there dying, then the distraction would work.

   Pietro thinks about life and death and everything in between, and vaguely notes that when he came back, there was something missing besides the blood and flesh and rags that he left behind. He vaguely notes that he shouldn't be alive, that the Avengers shouldn't have saved him, that he would've finally been reunited with his parents if only they'd let him leave.
