Work Text:
Joonas looked into the mirror, twirling around and eyeing himself. He undoubtedly looked pretty, sexy as well, of course, but would Olli like it? Joonas sighed. Fuck, he wasn't doing this for Olli, he wasn't looking hot and desirable for Olli, one of his co-workers. Goddammit!
Besides... Well, whatever, he needed to hurry if he wanted to arrive at work on time.
Arriving at the club Joonas looked around, usually, Olli would already be behind the bar checking that everything was the way he liked it for when he would work later, but now he was nowhere to be seen. Joonas frowned, then slowly crossed the room to make his way to the changing rooms and private area of the bar.
Maybe Olli was sick or his bus was late...
None of the dancers ever knocked before entering the dressing room, they had seen each other naked a hundred times so why would they? Today was the first time Joonas regretted this 'rule', startled when he walked in on Olli and what seemed to be his co-dancer Aleksi most certainly flirting in the privacy of the – until now – empty room.
“Don't mind me, don't mean to disturb your nice little moment here,” Joonas said, walking over to his locker to throw his backpack into it.
“We weren't...”
“No, of course not.” Joonas sent a fake smile over his shoulder before taking off his leopard-print coat and sunglasses, stuffing both of them in his locker as well.
He ruffled his hair a little when passing a mirror and left the room with one last look at the two other guys.
It hurt, fuck, it really hurt.
He wouldn't bother looking good for Olli tonight, or any other night, seemed like Aleksi was more desirable anyway. The only thing Joonas would bother about was getting as many tips as possible and being as seducing and sexy as needed for this purpose – even if he didn't feel like dancing now, he'd rather curl into a ball in his bed.
Joonas avoided Aleksi tonight, dancing with one or two of the other dancers instead or simply alone, twirling on the pole, or giving teasing lap dances for extra cash.
Usually, Joonas didn't drink during his shift, knowing it could be dangerous if he tripped. Still, he found himself slightly tipsy at the bar after he was done dancing. He looked at Olli who was still working but refused to prepare him a drink.
“It hurts...you know...”
“What?” Olli replied, slightly raising an eyebrow while cleaning the bar counter.
Joonas looked over at the poles where Aleksi was still dancing, tantalizing everyone in the room with his perfect movements, then he looked back at Olli before lowering his gaze.
“Loving someone who doesn’t love you…”
