Summary
When a young scientist disappears with enough kryptonite to annihilate every Kryptonian on Earth and some, Bruce and Hal follow her trail to a gated community in Southern California and go there undercover as a couple to find out what happened while carrying out their casual relationship.
As they navigate their feelings and make slow progress on their case, Bruce and Hal will come to realize that appearances are often more deceptive than they seem.--
(Chapter 6)Bruce avoided his gaze, looking at the horizon.
“It’s an undercover mission. See it that way : none of the things we do, none of the things we say and none of the things we are here are real,” he said in an unaffected tone.
Hal closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He was already regretting bringing that up.
“You know what ? Fuck you, Bruce,” he said, looking away and walking back into the community’s direction.
