“You’re being very…… non-bratty today.”
Ryan rolled her eyes and snorted before going back to typing away at her keyboard. “What, can’t I just do something nice for my girlfriend”
Shane hummed as she pretended to think about it. “Is it a new pair of sneakers? tickets to a game?”
Ryan fell back on the couch with a sigh and crossed her arms ”Why do you always assume I have an ulterior motive?”
“Because it’s either you want something OR you did something you shouldn’t have and I know you haven’t done anything”
She chewed the inside of her lip, Shane wasn’t exactly wrong. She didn’t act bratty on purpose, at least it didn’t START OUT on purpose. How was she supposed to resist the way Shane's jaw clenched, how her eyes would pierce through her. She didn’t LIKE upsetting Shane, she was just so dangerous and authoritative when she was upset, voice going down a few octaves, she looked like a lioness hunting and just the thought made her shiver.
she was an intimidating woman to begin with. She was 6’4 and only wore sneakers for the first few years that she’s known her, last thing she wanted was to bring more attention to herself. She tried to help her be more confident and sure of herself, telling her how guys that are intimidated by her don’t deserve her in the first place. She felt her heart flutter when Shane started wearing heels regularly, bringing her up to almost 7 feet tall. They’d find out very shortly after that men’s opinions on her height and strange outfits didn’t matter very much.
“I’m being nice because it’s mothers day.”
Shane took off her cat eye glasses and raised an eyebrow.
“Obi” Truth was she’d make any excuse to treat Shane, not that she didn’t normally but there’s just something fun about holidays, no matter how mundane.
“Ryan, we talked about this, Obi is the son of God.”
“Fine! then me!”
“Well, non-bratty Ryan didn’t last very long now did she” all she got for a reply was Ryan sticking her tongue.
“GOOD! then I can put you up for adoption”
