The Coruscant Guard's Vod Most Likely To Get Away With Murder.

Summary:

Of all the Prime-kriffing things that he had to deal with.

Of all the things he would have had to face on home soil, in the heart of the Republic.

Here he was, assaulted by the most incorrigible of vagrants

Work Text:

Fox prided himself in being prepared for anything and everything life on Coruscant threw at him. His deployment had made him one of the most observant and kriffing paranoide vod this side of the Core Worlds. He prided himself in having a keen sense of his surroundings, his observational skills were rarely contested by others. Coruscant was a deployment that expected the best of its troopers, Fox himself upheld that standard of work to prevent the loss of his vode. He was the gold standard, the template his troopers modelled themselves after. He was good at his job, and he definitely wasn’t easily distractible enough that he was able to be snuck up on-

Yet.

Yet.

Of all the Prime-kriffing things that he had to deal with.

Of all the things he would have had to face on home soil, in the heart of the Republic.

Here he was, assaulted by the most incorrigible of vagrants

Stone’s head shoved up through the neck of Fox’s slightly too big hoodie, making the once comfortably large garment tight around the back of his neck and his shoulders. Stone’s hair was thankfully growing out of the v-shaped mohawk that he was growing during the war to honour the loss of their brothers—Fox had appreciated the sentiment as much as the next vod but kark did Stone look ridiculous with that haircut—and it flopped over his forehead in a much fuller, singular mohawk.

“Kisses.” Stone demanded with a sparkle in his eye.

Fox sighed and abandoned the datapad that he had in his hands onto the cushion of their couch.

Their couch . They had an actual apartment on Coruscant.

Their home.

And here Stone was being an absolute karking menace and stretching out Fox’s favourite hoodie by stuffing himself inside the offending item of clothing.

Ner cabur- ” Fox groaned.

Stone’s grin just grew wider, happier that he had gotten Fox to put away the datapad.

Admittedly, Fox had been staring at the thing for quite a while, just because he stopped being the Marshal Commander of the Coruscant Guard, didn’t necessarily mean that he trusted the newly appointed and staffed Coruscant Security Force to do their jobs as well as the Coruscant Guard did when they were in charge.

The CSF had gotten a complete staff overhaul, Fox had chosen some of the top candidates himself, sith-hells even some of the division was staffed by former vode who weren’t quite comfortable with adapting to a civilian lifestyle.

Ner jetkr’ika .” Stone replied playfully, with the same cadence that Fox had in his own tone.

“You’re stretching out my hoodie.”

“You’re depriving me of my kissies.” Stone responded with the same amount of mischievousness that Grizzer had on a good day.

“If I give you a kiss will you get out of my hoodie?”

Maaaayyy-be -” Stone enunciated, dragging out the syllables as he leaned in, closing the inch-wide gap between them even further. Fox pursed his lips in response. He knew Stone when he got like this. Stone, while he was Fox’s foundation and rock, was also the more mischievous of their network. While the title of the Coruscant Guard’s Official Prankster went to Thorn, and the title of Coruscant Guard’s Biggest Shithead went to Thire. Stone held the title of Vod Most Likely To Get Away With Murder.

Fox himself had to relinquish the role to Stone within the first month and a half of their deployment when Stone had surreptitiously gotten rid of a senator that had been bugging Fox for three weeks about something inconsequential-

“Kissies-” The new demand broke Fox out of his thoughts as Stone bumped his nose against Fox’s petulantly.

Oh great.

There was a pout on Stone’s lips now.

Making the highly competent commander look like he was still an innocent cadet and not capable of ripping a commando droid’s arm from its socket with the fierceness of a rancor.

Fox’s silence continued.

The pout on Stone’s lips grew more exaggerated.

Fox groaned with an exasperated fondness and tipped his head back. He gave an eye roll dramatic enough to rival one of Wolffe’s, and brushed their noses together.

“Needy.” He teased before he planted a barely there, quick kiss onto Stone’s lips.

The affronted noise that Stone let out made it clear that he was expecting more than just a chaste peck on the lips that barely lasted half a second, but Fox grinned as he began wiggling out of his hoodie, showing off his hypermobility and flexibility as he slipped out of the fabric and left the large item of clothing hanging backwards off of Stone’s frame as Stone flopped forward onto the couch, next to where Fox was now sitting on the floor.

Foooooooooooooooooooox.” Came the whine, muffled as Stone lay face first inside his hoodie and the fabric of the couch.

“Stoooooooone.” Fox replied in the same overexaggerated manner.

Stone may have stolen the title of Vod Most Likely To Get Away With Murder, Fox still held the title of the Coruscant Guard’s Most Feral Vod with pride.

In retaliation, Stone rolled off the couch and landed onto Fox, his elbow knocked into Fox’s rib, punching a resounding ‘ oof’ from Fox before Stone snaked a hand into the curls at the nape of Fox’s neck and tugged him in for a proper kiss.

Whatever playful protests Fox had melted off his lips as Stone looped his other arm around Fox’s shoulders and kissed the words right out of his mind. The kiss was a mixture of sweetness and want, with an underlying burst of citrus, probably from the fruit that Stone was munching on before he decided to make his boredom Fox’s problem. The hand in his hair loosened but didn’t release him from Stone’s hold-

But Fox didn’t really care anymore, not when Stone’s tongue swiped at his bottom lip for permission to slip into his mouth. Fox allowed it, mouth parting.

Their tongues touching still felt a little weird to him, but it was always circumvented by the warmth of Stone’s body pressing against him, and the soft moan that was always muffled between their mouths from Stone as he got to taste the inside of Fox’s mouth.

“Told you Stone would get him to put that datapad down.” A smug voice interrupted their kiss. Fox reluctantly coaxed Stone away from him to look at Thorn and Thire in the small hallway that acted as the entry hall into their apartment. A delicious smell wafted into the apartment and Fox finally noticed the bags in Thorn’s grip.

It smelt like the nerf kebabs from the hole-in-the-wall diner they found a few weeks back. Juicy and delicious enough to make a grown vod cry after years of slop and rations and protein cubes. Fox was still getting used to the idea of eating nattie food. Civvie food.

Food that they had stared longingly towards for the last three years.

“Or’diniise.” Fox grumbled at the two of them.

“Now now,” Thire tutted. “Bold words while someone has your dinner in their hands.”

“Thorn has my dinner in your hands.” Fox retorted.

Fox watched as Thorn handed off the bag of nerf kebabs over to Thire, because his riduur was a cheeky karking shit and Fox pursed his lips, and then was immediately distracted by Stone placing a kiss on his chin, and the faint stubble that Fox managed to grow.

“Kissies.” Stone whispered against his stubble.

Fox couldn’t help but laugh, wrapping his arms around Stone’s shoulders and tugging him back in for a kiss.

“Kissies.” Fox agreed.
