    Tommy didn't notice how the sharp edges of the disc seemed to cut into his fingers. They were too numb. In the morning, when Dream found him curled up on his bed with a disc clutched to his chest, he wondered if Dream would make him drop it into the hole with his newly constructed armor.

    They both understood the importance of the discs, after all. It was something that Dream couldn't allow Tommy. Hope.
