Summary
“What about you?” Ian addressed Mickey, and his tone was much more timid than he had initially intended.
Mickey’s eyes widened when he finally clued in that Ian was talking to him. He shifted in his seat, immediately defensive, and Ian felt his aura shrink a little as he closed himself off.
“What about me?” Mickey huffed in response. His arms tightened across his chest reflexively and Ian paused for a moment, trying to figure out the right angle for an approach that wouldn’t scare him off. Where others saw a lion, Ian could see the frightened lamb beneath.
“Look, I know your sister dragged you here, but aren’t you even a little curious?” Ian wondered aloud.
