OH MY GOD. JUST... OH MY GOD.
i commented on another one of your ck fanvids (i did something bad and terry silver, which was just. PHENOMENAL) and oh my gosh, your knack for visual storytelling does NOT go unnoticed. i'm going through the cobra husbands ao3 tag and wow, i am just so fabulously impressed by THIS. this is genuinely one of my favorite videos of ALL time, combining two things i just adore - abba, john kreese, and cobra husbands/kreerence. MY GOD, there are so many little moments in this video that made me jump up and make a convoluted little noise, so i'm just going to go through and note my favorite parts:
-first of all, the piano at the beginning, and the pan in shot to terry PLAYING THE PIANO. do you know what kind of laugh that elicited out of me? a very loud one. I DIGRESS.
-"but i suddenly lose control" with the shot of terry kicking the wine glass. the visceral joy that coursed through my body upon that clip being matched with that lyric... OH I SMILED SO HARD. AND CHUCKLED.
-"just one look and i can hear a bell ring" with those flashbacks and the CUTTING AND EDITING. MAN. i don't know why people do crack cocaine. we should all just watch this video and feel the high.
-"my my, how can i resist you" with that clip of terry shaking his head in exasperation. i think by this part of the video i was feeling the emotional mania and joy of this art REALLY hit me. MY GOD.
-"blue since the day we parted" and you chose the war scene... with the blue lighting. DO YOU KNOW HOW LOUDLY I SCREAMED.
-that instrumental break between the chorus and second verse, when it cut to johnny... I LITERALLY GUFFAWED. OUTLOUD. I GENUINELY. SCREAMED. OUT OF JOY. i was like, internally, "hey it'd be really funny if this second part was kreerence!" LO AND BEHOLD.
-"i've been angry and sad about things that you do" and it's that scene where johnny is angry and drunk and flash backing to the kk2 parking lot scene. ohhhh. oh. okay. GOOD. GOD. CINEMA IS BACK AND YOUTUBE FANVIDDER FINDMEINTHEALPS HAS RETURNED IT TO US LIKE PROMETHEUS GIVING US FIRE!
-the ending verses of this video with miyagi and daniel was GENUINELY genius. it just brings the most manic and playful little vibe to kreese's villainy that very much reminds me of that one monologue with the joker and batman in the lego batman movie; "but i'm your FAVORITE villain! i'm YOUR VILLAIN!" it's almost enough to crackship miyagi and kreese. good god.this has severely upped my standards for all fan videos. i don't know if you read comments, but i'm going to leave this (very long) one on here and on the youtube. this is genuinely one of my comfort videos and i have been replaying it for the last 30 minutes, probably for the rest of the week, PROBABLY THE REST OF THE MONTH, who knows. thank you so much for making this.
