In order to prevent “frivolous disputations unbefitting the history of our institution” (read: “some kid getting way in over their head, dying, and us getting sued,”) you couldn’t just walk in and demand to fight a snake.

many thanks to primeideal for having blanket permission to podfic! i absolutely loved this fic when i read it and i hope it is clear that my discussion at the end is all "groaning (extremely amused)". the punchline is obviously great but i also really loved the painfully accurate academia of it all.
this was recorded live over discord for a couple of my Scarlet Letter teammates, which means that there's a bit of intro from me at the beginning, it's a little less edited than usual, and that you can hear some additional commentary/reactions from Akaihyou and sisi_rambles (especially at the end)!
some additional content notes from me: this story contains animal death, a little sexism and gender stereotyping, and, as i mentioned in the audio, a brief reference to COVID-related things at the end.
