Exclusive Interview with Dynavity! This popular, powerful duo rarely participate in joint interviews so when Question 20 was presented with the opportunity, we couldn't pass it up. Let us know what you think of their answers!
Question 1: What does an average day look like for Dynavity?
D: Check the news.
U: Outside of the action, we train, patrol, work in the office. All the fun stuff. Off duty, I mostly watch shojo anime and sleep. (Laughs)
D: You don't have to give such detailed answers.
Question 2: What's your favorite tag team attack?
D: A favorite? What the-
U: Oh, I love Supernova! What a blast! Pun intended. (Uravity winks at our reporter)
D: This is stupid.
U: Don't mind him. He's just a little grumpy because I caught more bad guys this week.
Question 3: You keep count?
D: Tch, too many to count.
U: Yes we do! (Uravity playfully nudges Dynamight) We have a scoreboard on the wall outside our offices. Whoever gets the most outside of team captures wins.
D: She got lucky.
U: Luck has nothing to do with it.
Question 4: Do you get anything for winning?
U: Bragging rights!
D: And dinner.
U: What? We've never done that before.
D: You've never won before.
U: That's not fair to you.
D: Fair? I think you finally winning deserves something more than bragging rights. Next question.
Question 5: Can I ask where you plan to take Uravity to dinner?
D: What a waste of a question. No.
U: I kinda want to know.
D: I'll tell you later. Next question and it better be a subject change.
Question 6: No problem! What's the hardest part about working in a hero duo?
D: People always ask where she is when it's just me.
U: Really? (Dynamight nods) I was going to say the hardest part is standing out on my own. He's so amazing that sometimes I feel overshadowed.
You two-
D: Hold on. (Dynamight turns to Uravity) What?
U: Sometimes!
D: Are you not-(Dynamight turns to reporter) is she not the most popular female hero in Japan?
She is.
D: (To Uravity) So act like you know it!
Question 7: Can I continue?
U: Yes. Sorry.
Question 8: You two often seem to be complete opposites. What would you say are the similarities between you two?
U: We're both determined and willing to take risks to win.
D: We have the same sense of humor.
U: (Laughs) That's true.
D: I'm sure your readers can think of more.
Question 9: As popular heroes on your own, why did you choose to work as a team?
D: (Taps his nose)
U: We've always worked well together. I'm honest with him and he knows I can keep up.
D: I can't stand hearing her talk like that. Now I have to give you the real answer.
Question 10: The real answer?
D: Yeah! I asked her to be my partner because she makes me better.
U: You did? I do?
D: You keep me on my toes, you deal with the [censored] I don't want to deal with, and you make me...better.
Question 11: Can you elaborate on what 'better' means in this context?
D: No.
U: Maybe you can tell me off the record at dinner?
D: Maybe.
Question 12: I'm sorry, I have to ask. Is there--anything going on between you two?
D & U: No!
U: Our relationship is strictly professional. We barely even see each other in regular clothes. (Laughs)
D: I think we've spilled enough secrets today. (Uravity turns to Dynamight)
Question 13: So...there is a secret between you two then?
U: (Still looking at Dynamight) That's ridiculous. (Uravity looks back to reporter) What he means is--is--um.
Question 14: Dynamight, what did you mean?
D: Nothing.
Question 15: Uravity, is everything okay?
(Uravity leaves the interview)
Question 16: You know this is going to be a big story, right?
D: I'm [censored] well aware.
It might be better to clear things up instead of leaving it open for speculation.
D: Not a chance. Uravity! Get back here!
U: Give me a moment!
(Uravity returns)
Question 17: I won't ask any more questions about your personal life. Are you two good to continue?
D: Define 'good'.
U: (To Dynamight) Be quiet! (To reporter) Yes, we're good.
Question 18: Okay! Our readers chose this next question. If you could partner with any other hero, who would you pick?
U: Deku.
D: She answered that quickly, didn't she? I think I'd pick Red Riot.
U: (Sighs) Next question, please.
Question 19: When you first teamed up, it was a big deal. Was there a defining moment that lead to you becoming partners?
D: When she tried to kill me our first year at U.A. Everyone thinks I'm the crazy one but partnering with her shows otherwise. Ha! That's what I meant by 'better'!
(Uravity stares at Dynamight then turns to reporter)
U: I don't have a defining moment. (To Dynamight) What happened to not giving detailed answers? Our PR team is going to have a conniption. (To reporter) Excuse me. It was nice to meet you.
(Uravity leaves)
Question 20: This interview certainly took a turn from what I planned. Do you want to make any final statements?
D: This is why we don't do join interviews.
(Dynamight leaves)
