The Mission of Eagle Two

Summary:

It all starts with a simple phrase.
“You know Enji Todoroki doesn’t actually make his money from the company, I bet it’s a drug ring”.
That started a storm that so many people couldn't escape from. Starting with a detective that needed to make a call for help.

Chapter Text

Nothing made Keigo rethink his entire career path like Enji Todoroki, the man was impossible to get anything from. A few months ago, Keigo caught wind of a silly little rumor that sent his mind spiraling into a mass of conspiracy theories.

“You know Enji Todoroki doesn’t actually make his money from the company, I bet it’s a drug ring”

The memory echoed in his mind as if taunting the man. Now months later, he grunted over his paper filled desk at three in the morning getting up only to look at the messed corkboard which had so many pictures and papers on it that it could give you a migraine on sight. It was a really fucked up torcher for the perfect person; if he was anything, it was determined. Keigo never gave up on a case.

That’s how he became Lead detective and head of the police department after all.

He stood once again staring down the evidence he had, which was practically nothing. Enji had married Rei very publicly but after that there’s nothing. Everything was so well hidden, even the way in which she died. He couldn’t prove anything. Legally at least. If the evidence was out there someone was paid off somewhere if not everyone involved. He knew about as much as the stupid gossip rags about the Todoroki’s. A sigh escaped as he picked up his phone and dialed a number that he didn’t think he would ever have too again.

“Hey, I need your help Yamada, please”

---

Aizawa entered the cone shaped building with his usual exhausted expression not bothering to say hello to the almost equally tired purple haired cashier. Instead, the boy reached under the counter and passed him a redbull with a crooked smile. “Thanks Shinso, it’s gonna be a long afternoon” he spoke as he took the gift and walked into the backroom. The room seemed normal, stocked with ice cream toppings and cups, though he walked straight to a panel hidden behind a tall shelving unit. As soon as the code was typed in the panel moved and allowed him to walk begrudgingly down the spiral staircase.

Once he arrived in the well-lit conference room he sat at the end of the long table in the center. “Alright we have a task, and it is a hefty one” he spoke to the group of young adults before him before opening his drink and taking a swig. A slight growl sounded from the infuriated looking blonde to his side. “Why the fuck did you tell us to be here thirty minutes before you even showed up” Katsuki seethed at their leader.

“Simply because I know you guys would be late. How long were you waiting?” A question to which no one responded thus proving his point entirely. He handed a small stack of papers to the redhead to the other side of him. Kirishima took one and they slowly got passed around to the group. It didn’t take long given that there was only five of them.

“Our target is purely to gather evidence; this should require minimal physical action but there is a possibility. That’s why I chose eagle two for this assignment. Enji Todoroki is our subject. There’re rumors that he may be running something behind the show, but we aren’t sure what that is at this time so tread lightly.” The explanation took everyone by surprise. After all Enji was the CEO of a huge company and money tends to impress. Not to mention the family laid on a bed of mystery so they peaked everyone’s interest.

“Bakugou, I trust that you can handle such a big mission, correct?” He asked receiving a confident nod.

“Excellent”

A day after they were given their task, they all met in the conference room yet again, but this time without Aizawa. Katsuki rubbed his temples at an attempt to calm his raging headache behind his eyes, but it never seems to work that well. “This is so exciting! It’s like our biggest gig yet” a squeal came from Ashido’s mouth earning her a ruby glare from Katsuki. She didn’t really notice as Kaminari agreed with her over his laptop. “It’s kinda sick” Sero piped in, and Kirishima chuckled seeing the irritation grow on Katsuki’s features.

“You know what’s not ‘totally sick’ a drug ring so let’s get started dumbasses” he grumbled opening his notebook to the correct page. His team gave a small laugh before getting serious with their work. They knew when they needed to be serious and as excited as they were they could not pass up this opportunity to show Aizawa that they could handle big jobs. “Okay so family tree consists of Enji, obviously, Three sons Touya, Natsuo, and Shouto. Then a daughter Fuyumi and the mother is gone” Kaminari listed off his computer screen while Ashido took notes.

She’ll be the front of the operation so knowing as much as she can gives the team a huge advantage. “Find out more about the mother and how she died” Katsuki ordered earning a nod from his friend. Soon they had everything laid out on the table and everyone turned to the angry blonde for their plan. He was the leader of their group so he couldn’t really complain.

“Based on what we have here, I have a plan, but we need to do some surveillance first” Cheers broke out in the group before they all gathered their things and rushed out of the room.

---

Surveillance was their favorite part of the mission, and it made no sense to Katsuki. None at all. They just sat in their mini van like a bunch of weirdos watching people through the security cameras that Kaminari was in reach of tapping into. It was like a sleepover for information that normally lasted a couple days. With slight breaks of course, Bathrooms are a necessity.

Around 5:30 am their alarm chimed meaning the gate to the Todoroki house moved. Katsuki sat up on the small couch they managed to fit in the van a couple months ago. Sero decided if they were gonna hang out in here this much, they should at least make it comfortable.

The boy that exited the gate was wearing a plain t-shirt and sweatpants. He didn’t look too suspicious but when Kirishima zoomed in on his face it was clear with his peppermint hair, he was Shouto Todoroki. “Oh, he’s cuter than I expected” Kaminari commented, and Kirishima snorted making a rebuttal involving Kaminari’s crush on Shinso. Katsuki couldn’t help but agree though. Shouto wasn’t bad looking but he was involved in something bigger, and he was going to find out what. After his morning jog he stopped by a small coffee shop. Thanks to Kaminari’s expertise he was able to pull up his order. “An oat milk latte? What a weirdo” The blonde chuckled softly before resting his head on a pillow. Ashido snorted.

“Don’t you drink black coffee?” she asked giggling to herself as Katsuki rolled his eyes. They continued to bash him for his taste in coffee and laugh but he wasn’t really listening anymore. All he cared about was a nap.
