Chapter Text
Loki laid down the bottle of the potion he was working on.
It was no use.
It was the third time in a row he had tried to make it work, and yet there was still no results. It was usually not his type to struggle so much in magical manipulation, particulary when he had the instructions on a book just like now. But his mind was simply elsewhere.
He couldn't stop thinking about Thor. About the overwhelming love he felt for him. Why even? Thor was loud, arrogant, impulsive, an idiotic oaf, everything he despised. But yet... he still couldn't bear being separated from him for too long. He felt his cheeks redden. Despite his defaults, his brother was also so kind, and he had that heartwarming smile, and he always knew how to reassure him, and loved to listen to his political and magical rambles even if he most often understood little of it.
He massaged his temples. He really was damned.
Of all people, it had to be him. The only one person Loki could never have. How would Thor even react upon learning what wrongful sentiments he had been hiding for centuries? Maybe he will never want to talk to him again. That idea alone made Loki's heart race with fear.
And yet, bearing those feelings was becoming more and more weighty. He had to tell someone about it. But who? Everyone would judge him or try making him forget something he simply couldn't.
He just had to tell Thor. Once and for all. And if he really rejected him, or went to be disgusted by him... maybe he would try putting a memory spell on him.
He closed his book. He was going to tell him everything.
But first he had to find him. It might not be that hard after all ; if his brother was awake, he might likely be on the training grounds. Or maybe was he resting under a tree in the gardens like he had the habit of.
