Work Text:
There were times in Ochako Uraraka’s life that she wished that she could do differently. Maybe if she had found a way to fight more when it came to hand to hand combat sooner than she did then maybe she could have had a better shot of beating Bakugou in their fight during the Sports Festival. Maybe if she had just been faster or stronger, then maybe she could have better aided in the fight against Overhaul, maybe perhaps being able to save Sir Nighteye so he didn’t have to die. And right now…
“Tell us a secret!” Mina exclaimed at her with a pointed finger, getting a few others to sweat drop from her over dramatic movements.
“WHAT?!” Ochako shouted with wide comical eyes and fear squeaking out of her voice.
Right now, she wished she wasn’t stupid enough to say truth instead of a dare. But knowing Mina, she might have founded a way to ask or say the same thing anyway.
Currently, nearly the entire Heroics Class 1-A were in the dorm’s common room sitting on the floor in a circle, deciding to play a fun (Or torture, depending on the person being asked) game of truth or dare. Nearly everyone, with the only exception being Izuku, as the dark green haired teen was currently attending and watching over Eri alongside Mirio, so he was “spared” as a few of the classmates like Tokoyami and Jirou putted it. Even Bakugou was part of the game, though that was mostly he was dragged into it against his will. He would rather be training. Or be in his room. Or anything else really. But alas, fate refused to grant him such kindness.
And currently, after some rounds of fun little truths and silly dares out of the way, Mina decided that Ochako would be her newest victim for whatever shenanigans she had in store.
“Did she really have to yell?” Sero questioned the actions of the brown haired girl, who still looked frozen from being called out to do such a thing. The Tape-Quirk user flinched due to how loud she was, with a few others also flinching when she did so.
“Why do I need to tell a secret?!” Ochako yelled, her facing becoming red since, well, she only had one thing that was really a secret to tell them, ‘I can’t tell them that! Who knows how they would react or if they would tell Deku!’
“Because she asked you too?” Todoroki questioned, not seeing the big issue here. In his eyes, it didn’t have to be some big secret. Something small like say, a secret for doing something silly as a kid was fine for this to work.
“Come on Uraraka! Just tell us a little secret! It doesn’t have to be anything super important. Surely you have some tiny ones that aren’t too personal.” Mina told her, clearing pushing for her to go along with what she wanted.
“What if she doesn’t have any other secret besides from anything like that?” Momo pointed out, figuring to at least provide some relief for the Zero Gravity-Quirk user.
“Nonsense! Everyone has a secret no matter big or small!” Mina told the rich girl of the class, before facing back towards the red faced Ochako, “So come one! Tell us!”
“Ashido, does she have to? She clearly doesn’t seem comfortable to tell us anything of the like.” Iida pointed out, seeing how his and Izuku’s friend reacting to such a simple question. To him, he saw it like it was a too private matter to force out in the open.
“Who f**king cares how she feels?! She should have picked something different than if she didn’t want to face anything tough!” Bakugou exclaimed, already annoyed at how round face’s resistance to simply go on and answer the stupid truth was being.
“That’s a bit harsh.” Satou muttered out, glancing at the ash blonde male from his spot on the ground.
“But he isn’t exactly wrong.” Shouji pointed out, sitting next to the Sugar Rush-Quirk user, which got a few nods in agreement with the Dupli-Arms-Quirk user. It was a bit harsh they knew, but that’s what happens in games like this.
“It’s okay if you don’t want too Uraraka. You can just skip this one.” Kirishima told her with a smile, figuring that she didn’t have to do this if she wasn’t comfortable enough.
“Hey! We couldn’t skip any of our truths or dares, so she shouldn’t either!” Mineta exclaimed, still rather frustrated due to being dared earlier to wear a skirt. He would not recommend it to any guy, they were uncomfortable, itchy and too tight.
“Yeah, Uraraka should answer the truth.” Kaminari also agreed with his fellow pervert, finding it unfair if Ochako gets to skip a truth or dare when the rest of them who have gotten truths or dares so far couldn’t get a pass.
Some of the others nodded in agreement, ultimately outweighing anyone who would be alright with letting Ochako skip this time by a two-third majority. The girl in question was still red face and looking like she was going to combust. Her hands covering her face, but luckily, she didn’t completely touch herself with her fingers otherwise she would be floating around right about now.
‘I… don’t really have a choice, do I?’ Ochako thought to herself, slightly moving her hands down as she faced the rest of her friends looking at her, waiting for a response of any kind. They were her friends, and they trusted her when they answer their truths no matter how little or insignificant they were, so… wasn’t it right to be truthful to them. At least Deku wasn’t here to hear what she would say, “Do… do you all promise you won’t tell anyone not in this room?”
“We promise Uraraka! We would not betray your trust like this!” Iida assured his friend while moving his arms frantically like a robot as he did so.
“Yeah, like our Class President says. Now spill!” Mina told her before leaning closer towards her from her spot between Hagakure and Kirishima, eyes sparkling for any new information from her classmates for teasing material, all in fun of course.
“Tell us!” Tooru also exclaimed in excitement, also wanting to hear anything that she could use to tease. Again, all in fun. She would never actually do or say anything that would hurt her friends.
With all eyes on her, Ochako gulped before preparing herself to come clean to them about the one secret she had. The one that involved a certain dark green freckled face hero in training. The one… that she fell completely in love for.
“Alright… I… I…,” She begun to say, before shutting her eyes tightly before exclaiming in a rather loud voice for all in the room to hear, “I LIKE DEKU!”
She kept her eyes shut, hearing nothing but silence in return. Slowly and nervously, she opened her eyes, expecting looks of surprise or excitement or mischievous or anything of the sorts…
…But instead, all she got was confusion or blank expressions, much to her own puzzlement. No one said anything as their expression remained unchanged; each of her classmates staring directly at her with nothing to show how they were feeling.
At least, until the silence was broken, but not in ways she would have thought.
“Wait I thought that was common knowledge?” Jirou questioned, genuine puzzlement on her face when she asked that for the rest to hear, looking over at Momo in particular since she was sitting next to the black haired girl.
“Yeah, I thought so too.” Momo admitted to the dark purple haired girl looking her way.
“Ochako, you’re supposed to tell us a secret, not something we already know.” Tsuyu told her, her normal expression remaining unchanged.
“That was supposed to be a secret?” Sero questioned, looking to Kouda when he asked that. The normally quiet Anovice-Quirk user only shrugging in response, unsure about it either.
“Could have sworn that was something we already knew.” Mineta commenting on it, not even surprise or jealous that Izuku had the attention of a girl since it was obvious. Well, he thought it was, but now he was unsure if that was supposed to be the case or not.
The rest also nodded or made comments similar to what they said, all essentially agreeing with one another while Bakugou stared at Ochako as if she was the biggest idiot in the world for thinking that her feelings for his rival was supposed to be some groundbreaking secret. Was that seriously the only secret she had, something that wasn’t even a secret in the first place?
Ochako meanwhile froze like a statue with wide comical eyes from hearing all of this, like a record scratching had just played in her mind when all of this was heard by her.
“…What?” Was all she managed to speak out in a flat one.
Bakugou groaned loudly from this, snapping the rest out of their thoughts or comments when the Explosion-Quirk user went on to get this whole thing through the brown haired teenager’s skull.
“Oh for f**k sake’s Round Face! Literally everyone could tell you’re head over heels for Deku! It was so obvious it was disgusting! F**king Half in Half even notice and he’s dense as sh*t when it comes to this garbage!” Bakugou exclaimed, pointing at Shouto to prove his point. The white and red haired male not going to even try denying what he said.
“That’s true, I am terrible at this stuff.” He admitted to Ochako. Like, for example, when they had that interview practice when Mount Lady said his smile could kill, she didn’t actually mean it literally. How was he supposed to know that wasn’t literal?
Ochako felt her pride in her skills of keeping her feelings secret shatter from hearing this. The next thing anyone knew they saw her curl up in a ball on the ground a few feet away from the rest while a dark cloud hovered over her.
“Revelry in the dark...” Tokoyami muttered, seeing and feeling the utter despair and sadness radiating from the curled-up heroine in training. He did kind of feel bad, but like the others he did think that it was pretty obvious that she had feelings for Izuku, with him being the only one unaware.
Ochako turned her gaze over her shoulder, shaking slightly in utter disappointment and nervousness from seeing that her feelings weren’t as well hidden as she thought they were. Her eyes slightly watery also due to this.
“Was I really that obvious…?” She quietly questioned the rest of her friends and classmate from her pitiful spot.
“Yeah.”
“Yeah.”
“Oui.”
“Basically yeah.”
“Pretty much.”
“Mhm.”
“Clear as day.”
“It was quite evident.”
“Yep.”
“Yep.”
“Definitely.”
“Uh huh.”
“Yep.”
“Yeah.”
“It was pretty clear cut.”
“It’s f**king disgusting.”
“Even Todoroki noticed.”
“Mhm.”
Hearing all her classmates agree only caused the despair and self-loathing to increase as the dark cloud grew over her head. Tokoyami could feel the darkness emitting from the curled up Zero Gravity-Quirk user from his spot. It was a bit much even for him. Kaminari walked over to the depressed brown haired girl, sweat dropping a bit from seeing her act like this, before placing a hand on her shoulder.
“Hey it’s okay. If it makes you feel better Midoriya doesn’t know, and we never told him how you felt.” The blonde figured he would inform her, hoping that would help cheer the curled-up ball of sadness that was Ochako.
It barely did anything as she merely whimpered in sadness, getting a few other to shake their heads from this. Others thought it was just depressing how she was acting at this point, now feeling a bit bad for their friend and classmate.
“Oh just get over it already Round Face! You’re acting pathetic!” Bakugou shouted at her, getting a few others to flinch from both how loud he was and how harsh he sounded.
Ochako uncurled herself and sat properly up, though it was still clear that she was pretty bothered by the fact that she wasn’t as good as hiding her feelings for her best friend like she thought she was.
“I thought I hide it well…” She muttered in sorrow, getting Todoroki to go over and sit next to her to pat her on the back in hopes of cheering her up. He sucked at cheering people up, but he would still try.
“So do you plan on telling him?” He asked, wondering if she planned to do so.
“WHAT?!” Ochako shouted, her face going red like a tomato as all sorrow and depression she was feeling washed away for utter shock and embarrassment to take its place.
“Yeah, Todoroki’s got a point. Do you plan on telling Midoriya soon?” Momo asked her, also wondering the same thing as the white and red haired student was.
“I CAN’T DO THAT!” Ochako shouted, waving her arms around in a frantic manner that put Tenya’s own ordinary arm movements to shame.
“Why not?” Ojirou questioned with confusion shown on his face.
“Yeah, why can’t you do that?” Hagakure asked the Zero Gravity-Quirk user, confusion appearing on her face even though no one could tell due to her Quirk.
“W… Well…,” Ochako trailed off, as she felt her cheeks redden even further that no one in the building thought was possible. The brown haired girl shyly poking two of her fingers together out of embarrassment, “Wouldn’t my feelings for him just get in the way? We’re both training to be heroes, so wouldn’t that just become a problem?”
Many of the students looked at one another, not quite sure what to make sense of what she told them. To them, they didn’t see the issue.
“I fail to see the problem here,” Tenya responded first, getting Ochako to look at the dark blue haired Engine-Quirk user, not expecting him to be the one to disagree with what she thought made sense, “Both you and Midoriya, should you two get into a relationship, would no doubt be able to know when to separate any personal time between you two to focus on your studies and hero work.”
“Yeah! Like, it would be no different than how you and Midoriya hang out already, it would just be more… lovey dovey I guess?” Kirishima figured, his expression changing into slight confusion since he was unsure if the words he used at the end there made sense or not. Bakugou made a gagging noise from the idea of Deku ever acting “lovey dovey” for anyone.
“Exactly! Besides, you two would just push each other to do better than ever before! Plus you two would be so cute together!” Mina gushed, getting a few of the others to sweat drop at the pink skinned girl’s words at the end there.
Ochako was surprised to hear all of this, yet she still couldn’t help but feel unease or nervous as she looked down at her lap. After all, it wasn’t just the idea of her and Deku being together that she thought could have been a problem for their hero careers…
“Even if that’s true… even if I tell Deku how I feel… what if he doesn’t feel the same way? I can’t risk ruining what we already have… I can’t lose him like that…” Ochako admitted, feeling more sorrowful as she looked up at the others.
…Only to be met with a bunch of deadpanned looks from the rest of her friends and classmates. Naturally, this got her to be confused, but she never got to voice it.
“You can’t be f**king serious.” Bakugou asked her, wondering if she was joking. But considering things so far, she probably wasn’t which just made it feel more frustrating to him.
“Huh?” Ochako was now puzzled further.
“Uraraka, like it was clear to us how you felt for him, it’s quite obvious he feels the same way for you.” Shouji pointed out to her, which got her to blush even harder than before from hearing this. That can’t be true, could it? She didn’t get a chance to say anything as Ashido spoke up.
“He’s always happier when you’re around, enjoys being in your presence, goes red in the face when you compliment him on almost anything and when you ever hug him.” Mina pointed out, knowing full well that the dark green haired teen clearly felt something towards the blushing Zero Gravity-Quirk user.
“But he gets red if any girl says anything positive to him or touches him!” Ochako squeak out, having her world feel turned upside down. Could Deku actually feel the same way towards her like that?
“Lewd.” Mineta stated.
“NOT LIKE THAT AND YOU KNOW IT!” Ochako shouted at the purple haired midget, somehow once again making her face going even more red. Seriously they didn’t even think getting that shade of red was even possible.
“At first at the start of the year maybe, but he got better at that. He really only gets that way with only you now.” Tooru informed her, taking note of how more used he got to the opposite sex over time yet still gets red when Ochako says or touches him in some way.
“Trust us Ochako, we wouldn’t be telling you this unless we know that he feels the same way as you do for him. It’s pretty obvious how he feels for you and you for him.” Tsuyu told her, her expression remaining its normal and neutral look.
Ochako didn’t know what to say. She thought this was some poor taste joke that they were playing, but she knew that they would never do anything like this nor take such thing so far. If it was true, could Deku really like her the same way? Would they really be able to make it work and not get in the way of their dreams to be heroes? It sounded too good to be true.
A hand being placed on her shoulder snapped her out of her thoughts, getting her to look up to see Mina now sitting right across from her. The pink skinned and pink haired girl looking directly at the brown haired girl’s face with a slight serious and concern look.
“Look Uraraka, I get it if you doubt us or aren’t sure about telling Midori. But believe us in what we witness and see. I bet you if you tell him how you felt, he would be happy and accept you with open arms. Besides, are you really going to just sit back and risk loosing him?” She told her, her last words only confusing Ochako further.
“What do you mean?” She asked, not quite sure what the Acid-Quirk user was getting at here.
“Uraraka, I’m not going to super coated it. Heroes… we know it’s a dangerous profession, especially with how things are going now ever since All Might’s fight with that villain in Kamino. Even before that, there were times that our lives were at genuine risk due to villains. Sure, things ended up fine and we live another day, but we can’t just assume that will always be the case. Like… what would you have done or felt if Midori died while fighting that Yakuza boss? Before you could tell him how you felt?”
That got Ochako to widen her eyes, the idea of Deku actually loosing his life in such a manner felt like a dagger stabbing her in the heart. The others were also surprise by the sudden heavier topic that Ashido brought up.
“That’s a bit heavy and dark…” Kaminari muttered, not liking how serious the topic was getting.
“She isn’t wrong though,” Shouji spoke up, getting many of the classmates to look at the Dupli-Arm-Quirk user with surprise on their faces, “Heroes risk their lives everyday to save others. All of us also had to go through situations that could have resulted in us getting seriously injured or even killed. If any of us were to die, I doubt any of us would want to die with regrets. So wouldn’t it be better to open up and say the things we may want to say before anything like that were to happen?”
That got the whole class, even Bakugou to be quiet. Sure, they knew that Shouji like them hoped nothing like that happened to them anytime soon if ever, but they still got what he was trying to say.
Ochako herself understood what he was trying to say. She couldn’t just assume that things would just… turn out well every time for them to continue onward with their lives. Deku was a living prime example of this. He always pushed himself so much, either to get stronger or to save someone. Yet, he never truly cared about his own wellbeing. He would push forward to save others even if he broke his body over and over again, even if it meant he could die. To him, it would be worth it if it meant saving others.
Could she really be able to push her feelings to the side only for something to happen to snatch the boy she liked… the boy she loved… away permanently from them all? Away from her? With her unable to ever get a chance to tell him how she felt for him? How much she actually cared about him and how he really meant to her?
‘No… I couldn’t bear that… I CAN’T bear that…’ Ochako thought, feeling a resolve hardening inside of her. Even if the other were wrong, and that Deku didn’t feel the same way for her like she did for him, she knew that she had to tell him. Tell him how she felt. How much she cared and loved and cherished him.
Of course, it was easier said than done as she had no idea how to do that without making herself look like a fool.
“Look, Uraraka,” Mina spoke up, getting her to look back directly at Mina’s face once more, the pink haired and pink skinned girl softly smiling at her, “We’re not saying you have to tell him this exact moment or anything. But you should tell him soon, better sooner than later. We can guarantee you that he will feel the same way.”
Ochako managed to smile softly, albeit still with nervousness, nodding towards the Acid-Quirk user.
Shortly after this, the subject was dropped, and things went back from the seriousness to the joyful and fun atmosphere like before. Still, the whole thing prior to that remained stuck in the brown haired girl’s mind.
‘LATER THAT NIGHT’
She couldn’t sleep.
Ochako looked up at the ceiling with opened eyes, unable to fall back asleep. Everyone was now in their rooms either sleeping or doing who knows what else. Some time after they finish up their truth or dare, Izuku returned from watching over Eri due to how late it was getting and things went back to how they normally acted when everyone was together. Then curfew came and everyone went to their respective rooms.
Turning to look at her clock, the time showed it being 1:32am in the morning. She sighed as she sat up from her bed, her mind refusing to drop the discussion about her poorly hidden feelings for Izuku with the others earlier.
“It shouldn’t be bothering me this much…” She trailed off, dropping her head into her hands.
After a few moments of this, she raised her head and looked back up to the ceiling. Her mind drifting towards Izuku Midoriya himself. She could already imagine an image of him with his adorable smile, a smile aimed directly at her which got her cheeks to blush a bit more than usual.
‘I bet you if you tell him how you felt, he would be happy and accept you with open arms.’ Mina’s words filling her mind. Despite her and the rest of the class’s insistence that Deku would feel the same way, she still felt too nervous to figure out now to actually do that. It’s not like she could just go to his room right now, wake him up and tell him how she felt right then and there.
…Could she?
“…Would be really accept me? Would he really feel the same way?” Ochako muttered to herself, unable to stop herself from looking down at herself.
She couldn’t help but wonder why Deku would actually like or love her the same way she does to him. She wasn’t the most pretty nor the most beautiful girl in the class or in the whole school. She wasn’t the smartest, nor was she the best scoring when it came to hero work or heroic lessons. She wasn’t strong, not strong enough to be able to stand by his side. He could do so much better than her.
Yet… that’s not true if what the others told her was true. After Deku returned from watching over Eri and things went back to normal, she kept an eye out for anything that might have prove the class’s words true. She did things like casual touching such as brushing their shoulders together or giving him a quick hug before they headed to their dorms. Every time his face went bright red. When they were just talking about who knows what, he always had this smile that was aimed directly at her when she was speaking. He always listening to every word she spoke and cared about her input on anything they discussed.
But he was always like that with her, wasn’t he? Every time he asked for suggestions for training, information about their Quirks or whatever else he may want input on, he always listened to what she had to say and cared what she thought seriously. When they hanged out normally with one another, he always treated her so kindly, always making sure that she had a good time and that her happiness mattered. He even got inspired by her, her out of all people, to help work on his moves and style when it came to hero training with his Quirk. He said so himself to her with his usual smile that always melted her heart every time she saw it.
‘Just like how he inspires me…’ She thought, a small smile forming on her face. Maybe… maybe it wasn’t so farfetched after all. Maybe the others were right.
Looking at the clock again, and seeing how she clearly wasn’t going to simply go to sleep with all of this in mind, she knew what she had to do. Getting out of her bed, she made her way over towards her door before opening it and exiting it, leaving her dorm room behind. With that, she begun to make her way to her destination.
She was going to do it. Even if she was feeling nervousness like one could not believe, even if Deku ended up not feeling the same way, maybe she could rest easier and be at ease once she got her feelings out in the open. Regardless of the outcome, she swore her heart would finally be at ease truly.
Hopefully.
Making her way down some stairs to get to the second floor, she quickly found herself arriving in front of Deku’s door. Nervousness filling her body, she slowly raised a fist to knock on the door loud enough in hopes of waking the dark green haired teen on the other side.
Before she did however, she hesitated for a moment.
‘How should I tell him? I don’t want to waste his time,’ Ochako thought, not sure on how exactly to go about it. Shaking her head of any lingering doubts before they could form again, she gained a small but determined expression on her face, ‘I should just be front and forward on it. I can do it. I can do this!’
With that, she knocked on the door multiple times.
“Deku? Are you awake?” She asked, loud enough in hopes of Deku hearing from the other side but not loud enough to accidently wake up the others in their rooms on this floor. She would die of embarrassment if anyone saw her doing this.
She heard a groan before it was followed by the shifting of sheets. The brown haired girl did feel a bit bad for waking up Deku like this. But this was too important to punt down the road any longer. If she can’t do it here and now, then she wouldn’t be able to do it down the road due to worry and embarrassment.
Ochako regained her determined expression as the door slowly opened…
…And all the confidence drained immediately away with her face copying that of a tomato when she saw Deku, tiringly rubbing his eyes due to having been awoken from his sleep. And he had no shirt on. Sometimes he likes to sleep without one. Thus, his lean but built body was visible for the Zero Gravity-Quirk user to see full view.
“Ochako…?” Deku muttered, yawning afterwards as the tiredness was still present in his voice and posture, not noticing the effect he was currently having on the bright red faced female, “What are you- *YAWN* -doing up so late? Do you need something?”
Ochako couldn’t response immediately, too busy ogling- er she meant admiring- er she meant staring- his body was very hot and distracting okay?! Not her fault he was built like an Olympic athlete! Granted being fit would be required for the hero course but still! Was she supposed to do, NOT notice it?!
Confused and slightly concern, Izuku wondered what was wrong with his best friend, following her gaze by looking down at himself. Only then did the tiredness vanish instantly as his own face went red while his eyes widened in a comical, realizing what had his friend distracted by.
“GAH!” Izuku yelped out, rushing to a nearby drawer before grabbing a shirt to put on. His face still blushing hard even afterwards. Turning around towards where Ochako was who was still at the door, he nervously laughed a little while he tried to calm himself down, while Ochako felt herself remained red in the face.
Already this was awkward as heck! And she didn’t even say anything yet!
“U… Uh…,” She begun to say, trying to push that image of him shirtless out of her mind right now. She had more important things to do right now after all, “Can I come in? I need to talk to you about something?”
“Oh, uh, sure! I mean-,” Izuku took a breath to ease himself as a calmer and more natural smile formed on his face. Of course, Ochako felt her heart speed up from the sight of his smile, his adorable and kind smile, “Yeah, come on in.”
The brown haired girl did just that, closing the door behind her before making her way further into the room. She felt her nervousness grew once again, but she forced it down. She was going to do this!
“Sorry for waking you up Deku.” Ochako told him, still feeling kind of bad for waking him up for this. He waved her apology off, not caring about being woken up if it was for her.
“No it’s alright. I’m sure what you need is important right?” He asked, his smile fading as a more concern look appeared on his face, “Is there something bothering you?”
“No… well not exactly…” She trailed off, feeling the nervousness and slight fear coming back up. How was she going to confess? She needed to be straight forward about it, but she didn’t know how exactly to do that.
“It’s okay, if you need help with something I’m more than willing to.” Izuku told her, another of his soft smiles forming on his face. Ochako could feel her cheeks warming up once again from it alone. How bad does she have it for him for a simple smile of his to make her feel this way?
Ochako took a deep breath, deciding to go for it and act on instinct. With that, she moved towards the dark green haired teenager…
…Before grabbing him by his shirt’s collar before slamming her lips into his own.
Glass shattered in the One for All wielder’s mind, his eyes went wide in a comical manner; his face going redder that it would make a tomato jealous while his body froze akin to a statue. He didn’t know what was going on, was this a dream? Ochako meanwhile had her eyes closed as her lips lingered on his own still, both of them unmoving from their positions.
What felt like an eternity only lasted for about a minute, before Ochako pulled away slowly. She opened her eyes staring directly into the shock, blushing and disbelief expression of her best friend… before her own face went beet red, again, and getting wide comical eyes as she realized what she just did without thinking on it.
‘WHY DID I DO THAT?!’ She screamed internally at herself, wishing she could crawl into a hole and die. Why did kissing him out of the blue like that be the kind of action she took?! She wanted to get her point across and acted on instinct, she didn’t expect herself to do that! Gulping, she tried to hide her own embarrassment as she begun to speak slowly yet in a high pitch voice that she hated that she sounded like that, “D… Deku… I-.”
Any apologies or excuses she tried to say was cut short when without warning, Izuku acted and kissed her, pulling her into a hug with his arms wrapped around her waist causing Ochako’s face to blush like a storm. Her eyes wide open in a comical manner, not expecting this from the dark green haired teen, while Izuku’s own eyes were shut. Almost like the roles were switch when she kissed him a few moments ago. Yet, after a few moments Ochako found herself relaxing, closing her eyes and kissing back, wrapping her arms around Izuku’s neck as the two deepened the kiss.
Like the previous kiss, this one felt like it lasted forever yet in reality only lasted for around a minute before the two pulled away from one another, their eyes opening and meeting each other’s gazes. Both of their faces were, to no surprise, still pretty red as Izuku looked embarrassed, slightly looking away for a moment, thinking how he acted like that without warning.
“S… Sorry…” He mumbled all, in Ochako’s eyes, adorably and cute. She couldn’t stop the small giggle that escape her mouth; moving one of her hands to place it on her best friend’s, and she guessed boyfriend’s at this point, cheeks making him meet her gaze which was full of affection and love towards him.
“Don’t be.” She told him before she kissed him once again, something that he quickly returned as the two continued to make out, with the brown haired girl ending up pushing the dark green haired teen and herself onto his bed.
Needless to say, both were able to confirm and show how much they really loved one another tonight. And Ochako got to see him shirtless again. Among other things that night which she was not going to complain about. And her now boyfriend got to see things that she had no doubt he would not complain about either.
