Skelita was wondering who to talk to as she was trying to branch out and make new friends. However, every time she wanted to approach, she would pause and decide against it, shaking her head. “Poor Skelita.” Clawdeen said, getting Frankie’s attention as she was watching the shorter ghoul.
“What’s going on, Clawdeen?” Frankie asked, approaching her friend. Clawdeen motioned toward Skelita and Frankie realized that once again, Skelita was alone during lunch period.
“You and Jinafire were her new friends during Scaris, right?” Frankie asked and Clawdeen nodded her head.
“She said that she had human friends.” Clawdeen then realized that Skelita wanted to make more monster friends. When Clawdeen noticed how Frankie was looking, she smiled happily. “You want to adopt her?” She asked and Frankie turned away, blushing.
“She’s new.” Frankie said and Clawdeen giggled at her friend.
“I’m just teasing, honey. I know she would take to you but please don’t be offended if she spends most of the time looking at you.” Clawdeen told Frankie and when the ghoul nodded her head, Clawdeen knew that Frankie understood. It didn’t take Frankie long to see that Skelita was a little shy. Frankie knew that Skelita enjoyed being in the background, even when she was helping others. Frankie wasn’t going to force her to stand out if she didn’t want to. She just wanted to help the ghoul make a new friend.

Skelita didn’t know when Frankie had walked towards her but she was grateful, seeing that no other monster had bothered to step in to help her. “Sorry…” Skelita murmured and Frankie smiled softly at the ghoul.
“No need for that, Skelita. You didn’t know. You’re new.” Frankie said as she turned to glare at the other monsters. They all gulped, turning away from Frankie’s gaze. They had allowed the new kid to get bullied.
“Frankie.” Skelita didn’t want the ghoul to get angry at the other students.
“And really pretty.” Frankie said, making Skelita’s bones rattle out of embarrassment as she gave off an entire bodily shiver.
“O-oh…” Skelita didn’t know what to say besides a small thank you as no one had really bothered to call her pretty before. Frankie just knew that if she could blush, her entire face would be red.
“Yep, very pretty indeed.” Frankie repeated as she gently kissed Skelita’s cheek.
