To Be Fully Human

Summary:

this is my super cringe au (if you know me from school no you don't). Basically, all the animatronics were humans who worked at the Pizzaplex before they all "mysteriously disappeared", But some of the staff and regulars notice how the robot mascots begin to act exactly like the human counterparts. And what is that awful smell?... Based on the au made by signor_vespa on tiktok

These first couple of chapters focus on how the band formed. I like the idea of childhood friends to lovers so FOR NOW they are all children.

this is my first ever fic, so feel free to criticize :)

this is basically my burnt out from drawing this series on tiktok so i decided to bring my bullshit here.

(EDIT: the first handful of chapters are not well written, like at all. I suggest skipping ahead and starting around chapter 8 or 9 and then coming back to the beginning if you decide you like the way I portrayed these characters)

Notes:

ami i really posting fnaf fanfiction in 2022? yes, yes i am.

Chapter 1: The Call

Chapter Text

Monty flopped down onto his bed staring at the ceiling fan spinning lazily. He shifted his head to the left to look out his window. There was a moving truck parked outside. He guessed that he was about to get some new neighbors, but he couldn’t bring himself to care. The entire afternoon he had felt like he was underwater. His thoughts weren’t reaching his brain yet. Some girl had confessed that she liked him and he had just stared at her. He didn’t feel happy or sad or even angry at her, just an empty void of emotion. He wanted someone to tell him what to do, what to think. He needed someone to talk to. He was suddenly aware of a slight weight in his hand. His phone.

Freddy, he needed to call Freddy. Fazbear was always there to listen to him.

Barely functioning, he scrolled through his contacts until he found the one he was looking for. One ring… One and a half- a click and a breath from the otherside. Monty didn’t even give him time to say hello launching into his long winded rant.

“I have no clue what to do Freddy I’m so lost I don't know what to do or what to think. She was standing there, smiling at me and she’s telling me that she loves me, and I just look at her. I look her

dead in the eyes and I feel nothing!”

He heard another breath from the other side of the line as if they were about to say something, but he cut them off before they could get a word in

“-I-I can't muster up any sort of emotion at all. I feel nothing, I feel empty, and I'm scared Freddy-”

“OH MY GOD, I DON'T CARE!”

An unfamiliar voice on the other side of the line interrupted him and then immediately hung up. Monty was left stunned, staring down at his phone. It still had Freddy’s contact glowing across the screen so he hadn’t dialed the wrong number… but who was that? WHO WAS THAT?? WHO HAD HE SPILLED HIS ENTIRE HEART OUT TO?!

Breaking out of his trance, he hurriedly went to re-dial Freddy’s number when his phone buzzed and almost caused him to drop it. Freddy had already called him back. He smashed his thumb on the “accept” icon and hesitated with the phone pressed against his face. The line was silent on both ends except for the quiet buzz of phone static. One beat, two beats, then three beats went by without a word from both ends…

“-uh, hello?”

said the stranger. That's right, Freddy’s phone had called him. Monty was about to respond when the boy spoke again

“Freddy wanted me to call back and apologize…”

He sounded genuinely sorry. Hey, maybe this guy wasn’t so bad!

“FOR NOT CARING ABOUT YOUR STUPID LOVE LIFE! HA!”

…

Or maybe not. There was a muffled sound of cardboard boxes hitting the floor and a disapproving shout of “Ugh, Bonnie!” Yep, that was definitely Freddy. Sounds of shuffling as if the two were fighting over the phone followed by a final muffled cry of “Hey! give it back!” from the stranger (“Bonnie” he guessed) and Freddy’s voice rang out through the speaker. “Heyyy, Monty!” oh wow. he could listen to that voice all day and not get tired of it. Pushing his dyed red locs out of his face, Monty almost forgot why he even called. Almost. Shaking his head to clear his thoughts, he responded “Hey… WHO WAS THAT!?” He shouted into the receiver. “That was Bonnie, an old friend of mine. He just moved into town.” Freddy said back calm as ever albeit with a slightly nervous tone to his voice. More shuffling noises followed, Monty guessed Freddy was walking with the phone. There was the squeak and click of a closing door. With a crackling sigh over the phone line, he continued in a whisper

“I promise he’s usually a lot nicer once you get to know him.”

Monty was about to make a snarky remark but a distant shriek of

“I HEARD THAT!”

cut him off. Freddy squeaked in surprise

“I’ll see you tomorrow at school, bye!”

and the line went dead. What..? He didn’t want to “get to know him”; he never wanted to hear that annoying voice ever again. He threw his phone onto his pillow as he assumed his original position on his bed. Arms spread out with his legs dangling over the edge as he stared absentmindedly at the moving truck outside, forgetting all the events of the afternoon choosing to focus on his newest problem. Bonnie.
