"HEY!"

...

Six should have insisted that they brought the Evo to the base. He should have done this the moment he heard where the Evo was at. White Knight had not given him the chance to argue the point before he sent Six and Rex to the area.

It was a zoo. Of course it was a goddamn zoo and to mke matters worse Rex used his small stature to disappear into the crowd. Agents had tried to follow him while Six was getting reports but they quickly lost him.

This left Six with the job of trying to track an eleven year old through the crowded zoo. How was it he could track drug cartels all over the world but when it came to Rex it was like trying to find a specific grain of sand on a beach? People made way for Six as he passed watching for Rex. They could feel the danger that rolled off of him. Or it was the talking monkey that refuses to stay on the ship.

If it was for Rex's attachment to Bobo he would have gotten rid of the monkey. He agreed with White it was more trouble than he was worth.

"You know you could just go to the icecream shop," said Bobo, "The kid will eventually make his way back. He always does."

Six growled, "I'm not leaving a kid in a zoo alone. If you have a problem then wait on the ship."

Before the monkey could retort there was a shout, "Kid put the monkey down. He belongs here at the zoo."

Six would bet his entire salary that it was Rex. Sure enough he saw the 11 year old carrying a monkey down the pathways. Internally he sighed at the sight and made a mental note to have holiday check him over for bites.

Then he said a clear order in his voice, "Rex, put the monkey down. We've already got Bobo."

"HEY!"

Rex being Rex turned to the side to protect said monkey as he shouted, "No! He's my monkey!"

"Rex..."

"No!"

Six had been expecting the boy to run as soon as he saw Six. The fact that he stayed even a moment had been a surprise. Seeing him try to run while carrying a monkey was amusing. He let the kid get about ten feet before striding after him.
