Summary
It started with a simple request - a favor for a favor.
"Can you pretend to be my boyfriend?" Felix had asked out of the blue. A scheme cooked up by the boy to make his crush open his eyes.
Hyunjin's world turns on its axis when he receives the request. You see, he's not too surprised Felix asked him. They're best friends; and for all Felix knows, Hyunjin is straight. Much less is he aware of the feelings Hyunjin has for him.
"Okay," Hyunjin agreed.
He knew it would hurt, that he was essentially breaking his own heart in the process of making his friend happy.
He just... never thought of Felix's part of the equation. Never really considered the consequences of missing half of the variables - how greatly he miscalculated;
Thinking there was no way Felix harbored any feelings in return would be the greatest of them.
