"Khun Kinn, do I have permission to kill Khun Kim?" Porsche asked, voice shaking lightly.

"Not if I do it first," Kinn replied, taking a seat next to Porsche.

He put his hand on Porsche's lower back, rubbing soothing circles against him, as if trying to force out the tension that had settled over him.

Porsche tilted to the side, resting his head on Kinn's shoulder.

"We'll have to meet with him," He began, softly. "Just let him know everything's fine,"

Notes:

Work Text:

Porsche had snatched his phone back, only for a moment, just so he could check his messages from Chay and make sure there wasn't an emergency.

And here is where he currently found himself, sitting, eyes glued to the small, blue text bubble on the screen, trying to hold back a scream.

The door clicked open as Kinn entered, with a gentle, yet firm command for Big and Ken to stay outside.

He raised his eyebrow as he saw Porsche's position, hunched over, eyes fixed to the screen.

"You aren't supposed to have that, you know," Kinn huffed.

"We're in trouble." Porsche said, in lieu of a defense.

Kinn raised an eyebrow, so Porsche wordlessly handed him the phone.

Kinn blinked at the text.

It seemed almost innocent with the little smiley face tacked on the end, (a simple ':D', because Chay thought typing emojis was cuter,). Truly it was just a brother gushing to a brother.

About how excited he was to meet said brother's boyfriend.

Kinn nodded in agreement and set about making plans.

Porsche clung to Kinn's arm, as they waited for Chay, sitting in a restaurant that cost more than Porsche could make in any lifetime.

The entire place was rented out too, leaving them in crippling, stifling silence.

Chay finally arrived, with a bright grin.

"Hia!" He exclaimed, running through the empty restaurant.

Porsche stood up from the table and took a step forward, with his arms open.

Chay practically threw himself across the remaining distance, into Porsche's chest.

"I missed you so much, Hia," Chay whispered, almost squeezing the life out of Porsche.

"I missed you too, Chay." Porsche replied, tilting his head back, as if that could stop the tears from falling.

Even Kim sauntering and taking the seat across from Kinn couldn't dampen Porsche's mood, as he was finally reunited with his little brother.

But fucking hell, Kim could give it a go.

As Porsche and Chay settled into their chairs, Porsche had to fight back on instinctual twitch as Kim casually slung his arm across the back of Chay's chair.

"So, P'Kinn, you're my brother's boyfriend, right? And you're P'Kim's brother?" Chay asked, turning his attention to Kinn.

Porsche had never seen anyone get away with calling Kinn Phi, except for maybe Kim, but he was rarely around and incredibly disrespectful.

He took a sip of his water to hide his grimace.

Kinn merely smiled. "That's right," He said. "I actually encountered your brother at the bar he was working at and he was so talented and gorgeous that I couldn't help myself,"

Chay seemed to buy the lie easily and offered Kinn one of his blindingly sweet grins.

Kim seemed entirely consumed by it, watching Chay's every move. Porsche filed that away in his list of 'things to torture Kim for later'.

"And what do you do for work P'Kinn?" And my god, this was the cutest interrogation any of them had been witness to, because Chay was trying so hard to be intimidating but it was offset by his squishy cheeks and the soft curl of his hair.

"I work in the family business," Kinn explained. "We're a fairly large company, we run several bars, casinos, and the like."

"Hm, I see," Chay nodded, with an adorable frown. "So, you'd say you're confident in your ability to take care of my brother?"

"I am incredibly confident in my ability to take care of your brother," Kinn conceded, with a firm nod.

Chay nodded again, falling silent for a moment, looking at the menu.

Kim leaned over his shoulder, pointing out things he thought Chay would like and Porsche could've jumped the table to strangle the little brat right this very minute, but he was, at the very least, cordial.

Their food arrived, and they ate in silence for a moment before Chay put his utensils down and frowned.

"What's wrong, Chay?" Porsche asked. "Do you not like it?"

"I'm sorry if I recommended something you don't like," Kim said, with a gentle frown. "You can have mine, if you'd like,"

Chay looked up from his plate and made direct eye contact with Kinn, before speaking.

"Would you say you're capable of protecting my brother from any potential enemies?"

Porsche tilted his head to the side in confusion, while Kim furrowed his eyebrows.

Kinn smiled.

"Porsche was right when he bragged about you being a genius,"

Chay smiled, tightly, giving Kinn a look.

"Answer the question, P'Kinn,"

"I can't say he'll never be harmed, but I will do my best to protect him." Kinn answered.

Chay huffed. "I suppose that's all a mobster can promise, isn't it?"

Kinn chuckled softly and nodded.

"Well, if you make Hia happy, I suppose I can't stop you but I will have my eyes on you." Chay snipped, turning back to his food.

When Kim finally realized, his expression went icy, like he was shutting down.

"How long have you known?" He murmured.

"Hm... I won't say the whole time, but..." Chay bit his lip. "People like you don't pay really attention to me unless it's beneficial to them, usually. So, I looked up your last name. I wanted to protect my brother, just like you did. Sue me,"

He shrugged and turned his attention to Porsche.

"I'm happy for you, Hia."

Porsche smiled. "Thank you, Chay."

Seeing that horrified expression on Kim's face was worth it anyways.
