   Summary

   Sometimes things happen for a reason, but Peter couldn’t tell you why this happened. His first response is usually to blame it on Parker luck. Parker luck didn’t cover it this time.

   Being stabbed. Being shot. Falling off a building after his web shooters missed. Hitting his head. Pain. Real physical pain. Pain that originated from an actual source. A visible source he could feel and touch. Peter was used to this pain. His body healed, and he’d go out and get hurt again. It was a cycle he was used to. The pain he had been feeling didn’t have an obvious source.

   There was no gaping hole in his side. No blood gushing out of any holes. He just ached. When he woke up. When he took a shower. When he went to school. When he did homework. When he was out spidermaning. There was always pain.
