"Hey, Chloe" Mikey greeted with a smile. He was sitting at a picnic table outside in the courtyard, working on character sheets in case anyone else came along and wanted to play D&D with them but didn't have a character already. This was typically what he did in his free time since it gave him something to do. It's not like he had anything else to do.
"Hey, Mikey" Chloe responded with a smile of her own as she sat next to him. "Working on character sheets?"
"Yup"
"Do you not have like a girlfriend or someone to hang out with?" she asked him, hoping it doesn't come across as too judgmental. She was genuinely curious because she wasn't sure he hung out with anyone aside from her, Steph, and his brother. To her worry, Mikey froze at the question. She tried to remedy this. "Or a boyfriend"
"No girl would want me" he replied after a moment, avoiding her gaze.
"I'm sure that's not true" Chloe tried to dismiss. "You're really fucking cool to hang out with, I'm sure-"
"I'm broken, Chloe" he cut her off, seeming genuinely upset. Chloe frowned.
"What do you mean?"
"I can't have a girlfriend because people are supposed to want to kiss their girlfriends and want to have sex with them, but I..." he trailed off. "I don't know what my problem is, but those just... I don't want that"
"That doesn't make you broken" Chloe told him with a small smile. He snapped his head up to look at her, visibly confused.
"It doesn't?"
"No" Chloe assured him. "It sounds like you're asexual- Is that... It?"
"Yeah, that's... I guess"
"You're not broken because of that, Mikey" she assured him. "And I'm sure you'll find a girl who wants you for you, and who doesn't care"
"You really think so?"
"Yeah"

"Thank you, Chloe"
"No problem, man"
