Hey Loser,
This is weird. Writing this letter is weird. But I need to do this. I’ve gotta do this.
So, if you’re reading this letter, I’m dead and you’re probably feeling miserable about it. Blaming yourself. Feeling all guilty and shit. Aren’t you?
I didn’t understand you at first. Thought you were an absolute shithead. And to be fair, you didn’t think too highly of me either, did you? But I know now that when we first met, you weren’t alright, things were pretty bad for you. I didn't know that. So you being all snippy irked the fuck outta me.
Especially because I was nice to you. At least I hope I was. I was trying, y’know? To be all friendly because I wanted you all to like me.
But whatever. Point is, I’ve forgiven you for being a dick back then and you know it. Your apology for it sucked, but I forgave you. I have a big heart like that.
Speaking of apologies... well, sorry for judging your relationship with El so bad last year. I haven’t had the best experiences with men and you happen to be one and so I probably projected on you more than I should’ve. You were collateral damage. Sorry, okay? I’m being way too mature here so you better forgive me Wheeler.
I’m mad that we didn’t get more time to spend together. But thanks for being there when El left. I know you felt the same way I did and conversations with you helped me.
You know what I’ve realised since I first met you? You aren’t as big an asshole as I thought you were, Wheeler.
Hell, you’re a fucking softie. I know you always want to help and protect those you love and care for and somewhere along the way, I know I became one of those people for you. Who’d have imagined? Not me.
Hey. Look out for Lucas, won’t ya? I know he’s gonna be devastated. But he’s too wonderful to waste away in grief. Don't let him become like me. Help him, please. Give him my skateboard. I want him to have it.
And take care of yourself, nerd. Do your geeking and d&d-ing and mystery-solving. Be honest with El. She’s way too trusting for her own good. Treat her right, okay? I won’t be there to yell at you if you upset her anymore.
And Mike. Don’t let anyone treat you like shit either.
I never imagined I’d be so sappy in death. But that’s what you get.
Bye.
-Zoomer.
