   Summary

   "It's okay," Stede says softly, and part of Ed's resolve holding him up snaps like a twig. His expression is so perfect. He's everything Ed has never deserved, and he knows it, and he was a fool to ever believe he could get it. "Ed," he presses, while Ed grips his fingernails into his fists to keep it together.
