That Film Sucked

Summary:

Yes, this entire short is a dig at the KE writers and the way they ended Season 4. If you haven't seen the end of KE, I recommend you don't read. This is a bit of a spoiler fest.

Chapter Text

"Jesus." Eve huffed under her breath, standing upright the moment the lights illuminated the cinema seating again.

"What's the matter?" Oksana chuckled openly, already knowing her rather particular partner hadn't liked the film.

"Did you just see that!?" Eve seemingly now ignored everyone and everything, allowing herself to physically be frustrated enough that others beginning to leave the room were actively avoiding her. Oksana stood slowly, allowing enough space and time for her girlfriend to throw her coat over her shoulders, grab her bag and kick the box of popcorn over in a childish fit.

"See, now that's just rude," Oksana laughed again. Eve never seemed to realise that her outbursts of anger weren't scary or even remotely intimidating. They always looked more similar to a toddler denied their parents food. On occasion she had even caught Eve swinging her legs in a tantrum.

"I don't care. I want to get out of here. Hurry up." Eve seemingly stomped down the stairs, in front of the large screen with rolling credits, turning to wait for her partner. Oksana was tempted to move exceptionally slow just to stir her on, though decided wisely against even attempting it. Eve hadn't said another word, instead tapping her foot in annoyance, huffing and occasionally glaring at the other customers filing out.

"Alright, alright... let's go" Oksana's dire attempt at covering a smile was noticed. They made their way out into the parking lot before Oksana decided to stir the pot.

"I actually thought it was quite good." She slyly stated.

"ARE YOU KIDDING ME!" Eve exclaimed, her voice cracking, stopping dead in her tracks to turn and face her now hysterical girlfriend.

"What? What was soo wrong with it," Oksana carried the 'soo' out with a seemingly drunken slur.

"They killed the fucking protagonist! It was supposed to be a happy ending!" She took one look at Oksanas teasing facial expression and huffed. "You can walk home if you carry on." She said, marching to the car in a now emphasised fit. In her seemingly blind rage, she stepped out in front of a slow moving vehicle, with just enough time for them to break without making contact. Eve growled and threw up her middle fingers.

"Eve!" Oksana blurted in a fit of laughter. "For crying out loud! Get it together." She had sped walked to catch up with her and was now pushing her along the crosswalk. She raised a hand to thank the driver before losing her composure again completely.

"Babe, it really wasn't that terrible." She uttered in a weak sigh, her lungs struggling to catch up from her open laughter.

"How am I supposed to move on when they killed of the protagonist, who ALSO was the coolest character. She was amazing! She was smart, clever, fast, skilled... she killed people well!"

"Have you considered you may just be a hopeless gay?" Oksana realised her mistake when Eve shot daggers at her, a clear look of disapproval across her face. They had made it to the car and were now looking to each other over the top of the car. Eve stood their silently for only a moment before getting in without a word. Her girlfriend followed suit, taking passenger side. She sat there for a moment before making eye contact with her driver.

"You might be right, STILL... I paid good money for that. I didn't pay to cry. If I wanted to do that I'd go and see Les Miserables in theatre again. I paid to watch a good film." She was moreso pouting now.

"Aw, darling... its gonna be okay. There there." She said, leaning Eve against her, who within moments was in floods of tears again. Oksana knew not to laugh at her fragile girlfriend, but for her to be thie emotional over a film was funny to her.

"It's okay." She reassured, kissing the top of her head, rubbing her shoulder in a hug. "They are making a second one."

"Wait, WHAT!"
