Natasha sat propped up in her hospital bed and watched Clint with interest. He was staring down enthralled at the infant in his arms that they'd made for Phil.
Both Clint and Natasha swiveled their heads toward the hospital room's opening door. Both relaxed when Tony entered Natasha's hospital room.
"Good job, Romanoff," Tony said, looking down at the red-headed baby girl in Clint's arms.
"Thank you, Tony," Natasha said, looking amused.
"Can I hold her?" Tony asked.
Clint handed his infant daughter over to Tony..
"Hello, mini-Legolas, I'm your Uncle Tony. Your Uncles Bruce and Steve are chicken, You'll meet them at home. Your Aunt Pepper is on her way back from California She's sorry she missed you."
When the door opened again and a nurse came in Natasha asked, "Can I get out of here now?"
"The birth certificate needs to be filled out first," the nurse said.
'Ask him," Natasha said, nodding her head toward Clint. "I did my job."
"Nat thinks she's funny," Clint said.
Natasha rolled her eyes. "After Phil, right?"
"Yeah," Clint said. "I think he'd like it if we named her after the both of you."
"Not after me," Natasha said.
'Of course after you," Clint said. "You made this possible. I just wish Phil was here to see it."
'Do you want to spell it for me?" the nurse asked.
"Pippa," Clint said. "P-I-P-P-A, Natalia, N-A-T-A-L-I-A, Barton, B-A-R-T-O-N."
"Okay, Mr. Barton, Ms. Romanoff, " the nurse said. "I'll take care of the birth certificate and the release paperwork. Do you have a carseat?"
Clint laughed. "We have everything. Pippa's Uncle Tony has made it his mission in life to make sure she has at least two of everything if not one more."
"She has multiple aunts and uncles so she should have multiples of supplies," Tony said. "You know Pepper is going to want to babysit and one of these days Bruce and Steve are going to grow a pair."
"So that's your story," Clint said, putting an arm around Tony's neck and kissing his cheek.
"You see that?" Tony asked Pippa, "your daddy likes me."
"That's one of us," Natasha said.
"Ignore your Aunt Natasha," Tony said, "she likes to pretend to be a hard-ass, but she really loves me."
