It all started as a normal day. Timmy walked down to the bridge to feed the pigeons like he did everyday. While walking he saw the traveler. They always ruined everything. He hoped they wouldn’t scare or kill the pigeons today even though they always did. When he finally got to the bridge he said hi to all the pigeons and gave them some wheat. Timmy decided to name all of the pigeons.
“Your name will be Bert and yours will be Polly. Yours could be-”
In only a second a swirl of wind came out of nowhere killing all of the pigeons or so he thought. Before the traveler could pick up the pigeon Timmy carefully grabbed Bert. He ran away crying to Amber.
“Hey Timmy, what happened?” Amber asked.
“Traveler killed all my pigeons again but I was able to pick one up. Can you try to save it”.
“Hmm… I'll see what I can do.” Amber said.
“Thank You, I'll come back tomorrow.” Timmy ran off to go home.
Amber walked to the cathedral with the bird in her hands. She wanted to help Timmy but she was sure the bird was dead. She opened the doors of the cathedral and walked over to Barbara.
“Good morning Barbara,” Amber said.
“Good morning, do you need something?” Barbara asked.
“Yes, Timmy wanted me to try to save his pigeon. Could you please help?”
“I'll see what I can do.”
“Thank you Barbara I’ll be back in an hour.” An hour passed and Amber walked into the cathedral with Timmy holding her hand.
“How is it going barbara?” Amber asked.
“ I have some good and bad news.”
“W-what is it?” Timmie asked.
“The good news is the pigeon is alive but the bad news is…”
“What is the bad news?” The child asked once again.
“The pigeon is in a coma for 2 years…”
“NOOOO….Bert” Timmy ran away crying. After all of this happened Timmy went to visit Bert everyday but nothing happened. After a year he stopped visiting Bert but during that time he realized how much he loved Bert.
1 year passed and Timmy went to the cathedral to check on the pigeon. It had been 2 years after all. He walked into the cathedral.
“Hey miss Barbara, how is Bert?”
“Oh Bert finally woke up today you can go see him and take him home”
“Thank you miss Barbara”
Timmy walked off to go see Bert.
“BERT!!! I missed you so much!”
Timmy picked up the bird and kissed it. After thanking Barbara he walked off with the pigeon to go home.
