Scaramouche doesn't seem to be particularly inclined towards enjoying summers, but it seems like finding his way into his home and heart gives Ilya ample time to convince him to come outside with him. On a day that isn't too hot, of course.
Ilya's chair, propped up under the shade of the biggest tree in the gardens, has found a new purpose: propping up a sack filled with a truly spectacular amount of bird seed. There are plenty of nuts too, in case any squirrels come by, but Scaramouche already seems to have his hands full with only birds.
"They like you." Leaning on the arm of Scaramouche's chair, Ilya takes another bite of sunsettia as he watches. He's careful when he eats the fruit; more so when he licks juice from his fingers.
"They do not." Scaramouche's gaze lingers on the display before he eyes the round, fluffed up sparrow nestled comfortably in his palm, pecking away at a small pile of seeds. An even rounder, fluffier sparrow flies up the birdbath to perch on his thumb, eyeing the prize thoughtfully. "They are here because you are bribing them."
With his free hand, Ilya gathers and tips extra seed onto the pile in Scaramouche's hands. A few more birds descend around them as he presses his lips to his master's cheek.
"That's just extra incentive, my lord."
