She stood there silently in her bedroom waiting for him to come home
It had been a long day for her (not a good one) and all she wanted to do was snuggle beside him in bed
After a click she heard the door open, it was him dressed as handsome as ever in the new armani suit
She rushed towards him hugging him closer to her
Liam almost fell back by her running towards him. He put his arms around her and smiled
Returning from the publishers house he knew he had a long night in front of him
Carefully removing his arms from her he said, “well hello beautiful, how was your day?”
Fallon being as optimistic as ever never broke down her walls, she would never accept the fact she needed him right next to her
“It was not that good, I’m just tired. Ive been waiting for you for a while. You are never this late”
“Well I’m so sorry hon, i got caught up at the publisher’s, and so you know i have a long night ahead of me”
“Oh” Fallon said disappointedly
“What’s wrong?”Liam asks looking worried
“No no i just thought we’d spend a quite night together, but that surpassed quickly”
“I’m so sorry Fal but you know ive to turn in the notes early tomorrow “ He pecked a small kiss on the lips and hurried towards the shower
“Im just gonna take a quick shower and get back to work, Fal please go to sleep dont wait up for me, you really look tired”
Fallon sighed and crawled back to bed
She debated whether to ask him to work right next to her or not
But as obnoxious as she was, she never said that to him and he left heading towards work
She turned and turned in bed, but she couldn’t sleep, she knew it. She knew what she had to do
Knocking on liams office she fixed her hair and walked in. There he was workion his laptop still in sweatshirts with a cup of coffee next to him
He looked up at her surprised, “hey why arent you asleep yet”
“Well i kinda started thinking and then my thoughts drifted”
Liam knew she still had her walls up and he refused to give in so soon. He shut the laptop knowing the work could wait. And walked up towards her
“Now why dont you tell me how far those thoughts of yours drifted” he said hugging her close to him
“Well my head is a messy place , you wouldnt want to come in there with me”
He laughed. But he knew she was still holding something back
“Come on lets go to bed, I’ll do the rest tomorrow “
“Oh so now you have to go to bed” she said frowning
They opened the bedroom door and walked towards bed
“Liam, there’s something i wanted to tell you”
“And here it comes.. the real reason why you arent asleep yes, i would like to hear that very much” he said frowning
She took a long breath, and started “Well i hope you know i think very highly of myself” Liam smiled
“I really think that i can work everything out on my own. Well i proved myself wrong today, i had a really long and tiring day at work. And to be honest i just wanted to be with you”
Liam pulled her closer “you know i love you no matter how much you screw up, but the one thing i love most is how you’re trying to open up with me even though you’re not comfortable, Fal sometimes if we want something all we have to do is ask”
“I know Liam, I really debated about asking you to work right here close to me, i really dont know why but i couldnt sleep, i just had to be with someone. Im so sorry for bringing you back here, especially when you had to work”
“Fal, u know I’m not mad at you, I’m just saying all you had to do was ask, and even if its late, im glad you did” he said as kissed her
“So well lets get you into bed then”
They tucked themselves to sleep and Fallon said, “thank you for this, I really needed it. I really dont know what I must’ve done to deserve you” she sighs
Liam says, “ Fal this is really not the time to bring that conversation up. Get some sleep now i love you so much” he kissed her forehead, and dragged both his arms near her waist so her face was lying near his chest
“i love you liam,” and both of them went to sleep
The next morning fallon woke up with the biggest smile
She finally learned to acknowledge her feeings and she finally told liam how she felt last night and she was happy. She saw him laying next to her still asleep
She really wondered how blessed she was to have him next to her:)
