The whole world watches, abated as the pirate was finally struck down, Gol D. Rogers' son was finally dead, after a long twenty years they could finally have some peace. The Pirate King, Gol D. Rogers, has a son— had a son - doctors aghast at the thought of someone being able to extend their pregnancy to over twenty months - many horrified at even the thought of something so painful.
The brother let out a horrible sob over the live feed, holding onto the pirate king’s sons’ body for the last time as he screamed for his brother, screamed for him to come back . A wave? Something burst out from the younger boy, as he holds his brother close to his chest, the Admiral turning away as if done . The admiral froze , quickly spinning on his heels back to face the strawhat Luffy.
And people stared, eyes widening, jaws opening, screams of horror, screams of cheer, laughter, singing, prayers, as the feed turned back towards the two brothers.
They watched as “Fire Fist, Ace D. Portgas” suddenly took another breath, hitting his brother in the head as he quickly raised off of the floor, the gaping hole in his chest filling with fire.
‘Where did his organs go?’ Doctors asked, watching amazed, horrified, amused as she found herself upon a boat heading towards Marineford. Her fingers twisting around the Den Den in her hands, attempting to continue watching as the waves grew harsh around her, a wave flowing past.
The brother let out a wounded noise as he rubbed his head in pain, the Admiral staring at the two of them slack jawed, what are they going to do now? The onlookers watched from inside their houses, Gol D Rogers son just came back to life.
‘A zombie!’ One person at the bar yells slamming his empty cup down onto the table, ‘Maybe his devil fruit?’ Another speculates, chugging his drink. ‘Gol D Roger has cursed the land upon which he walks!’ Another bellowed, laughter ringing through the building.
A red haired man drinks on his ship as they hurry towards where the battle is going on, Anchor had fucking conqueror's Haki. His crew bursts out into cheers as their captains’ captains’(?) Son took another breath, as Anchor sobbed in relief, and he laughed, a short thankful tune, the twisting in his chest disappearing as he watched the two breathe .
Both the pirates and Marines have stopped fighting, ‘why have they stopped fighting?’ Families are asking each other, ‘why do the marines not take the time to use the surprise to their advantage, the Pirates are weakened.’
And everyone watched, including an amnesiac revolutionary blond, as Fire Fist Ace yelled out what could have been, what should have been, his last words, “SABO ISN’T DEAD, HEY SABO YOU UNGREATFUL FUCK, GET THE FUCK BACK HOME YOU STUPID BITCH!” As families rushed to cover their sons and daughters' ears, the blond's hands trembled as he stared back at the familiar faces. AceAceaceaceace—
‘Who is Sabo?’ Everyone and their parents ask, the fish beneath Marineford echo, the bird's caw and newspapers update, unaware of the turmoil going on at Baltigo, ‘why is he so important to the pirate?’
‘An easier target?’ Some ask themselves, ‘are they going to target this Sabo person in Fire Fist’s steed? Like what they tried to do with his father?’
The marines are beside themselves, ‘there’s another one?’ And Sengoku yells at the Vice Admiral, who is also staring at his grandsons in surprise, ‘another one? You didn’t even think to mention this to anyone?’
The Den Den flips away from the two Marines and back towards where the pirates are escaping, their Father injured -but alive , the traitor - Blackbeard disposed of, and both Fire Fist and Strawhat Luffy are carried away and to safety by The Phoenix.
‘A new brother?!’ Many pirates think, both horrified and amused, coming back to reality as the battle continues on, as they finally get their brother back.
