Chapter Text
Tenko Shimura, or as he was better known by his much cooler name, Tomura Shigaraki, had a problem. Well, he had a lot of problems such as dry skin, accidentally turning doorknobs to dust in the middle of the night, and the way this current society worshipped All Might. The one he wanted to focus on now was that his League of Villains was lacking something. They had a bunch of disposable mooks that they had been collecting. He had his mode of transportation in the form of his loyal butler, Kurogiri. His sensei said that he had plans on creating an ultimate weapon for him. He had all that, but he was missing something.
He only recently learned what that was when he attended an anime convention last week. Sure, hero conventions were way more popular these days but nothing could beat some good old anime and video games. Of course, much to his chagrin, there were hero cosplayers there too, but Tomura didn’t let that get to him as he enjoyed the con. He got to buy a few games, got his picture taken with some of his favorite video game cosplayers, and then he went to attend to maid café. He must have read the times wrong because when he arrived, he was immediately seated by a maid cosplayer of one of the Wild Wild Pussycats. He was annoyed at first but when a rather nice looking Mirko Maid served him, he realized what his league was lacking!
Maids!
It was perfect! Kurogiri could be his butler and he could get a bunch of battle maids to fight for him in battle, be their poster girls for recruitment, play video games with him, and serve him omurice with cute phrases on it written in ketchup like “All Might Sucks” and stuff like that! Now he just had to figure out how to get a girl willing to become his maid. While they had some females among the mooks they hired, he doubted any of them would be willing to dress up for him. Plus, they were all kind of weird.
Tomura sighed as he passed some skeleton-like blonde man and sat down on a nearby bench. He had about a year till the League would make its debut and he really wanted to have some maids ready for battle by then. He needed some ideas on how to get this started though…
Then the solution literally fell right into his lap.
-:-
Izumi Midoriya wasn’t having a good day. She woke up from her usual nightmare about the doctor telling her that she was worthless and her mother agreeing with him. Izumi never heard her mother say those words out loud but the way the woman looked at her when Izumi talked about wanting to be a hero made it so that the plump woman didn’t have to say it. Then she was almost late to school due to a villain attack and while she did get to see Mt. Lady and Kamui Woods in action, her teacher definitely wouldn’t accept that as an excuse from her. One of the other students, maybe, but Izumi’s teacher looked down on Izumi due to the greenette being quirkless. He might even dislike her instead of being one of the more apathetic teachers.
Then her teacher and classmates mocked her from wanting to go to U.A., the famous Hero High School where All Might and Best Jeanist were from. Her former childhood friend and current bully came afterwards, yelling at her because she wanted to be a hero, and destroyed her notebook. He then left yet another burn mark on her, this time on her shoulder, ensuring that even if someone didn’t care about her quirklessness, she would never be attractive due to the scars that littered her body from his burns. It showed that, no matter where she ran, he would always have control over her. Finally, he tossed her notebook out the window and told her that “If you want to be a hero, pray for a quirk in the next life and take a swan dive off the roof.”
That had gotten to her more than Izumi cared to admit it. Sure, her other classmates did stuff like leave spider lilies on her desk or messages saying similar things, but it hurt that Kacchan was the one who said it this time. On her way home, Izumi had then been attacked by a sludge villain who had nearly gone up her skirt and forced his way down her throat. Then All Might, her idol, saved her. Granted, she had already passed out, but he slapped her awake. That had hurt a little but at least he signed her notebook. She then stupidly grabbed on to his pant leg and was carried off to a nearby rooftop. Kacchan’s words echoed through her head. They got louder when All Might revealed his true form and told her that she couldn’t be a hero and to think realistically.
As Kacchan’s words echoed through her head, she felt the searing of her scars on her body and felt gross from where the sludge villain had touched her. With every throb from her scars and as she struggled to breath, she was forced to come to terms to the fact that she just had her dreams crushed by her idol. She was hurting both inside and outside. She didn’t like hurting. Her idol told her to think realistically, right? Kacchan made sure no one would ever want her, and All Might himself said she couldn’t be a hero. There was only one realistic option for her left.
She jumped.
-Present Day-
The USJ, also known as the Unforeseen Simulation Joint, was really living up to the Unforeseen part of its name at the cost of the Simulation portion of it. Katsuki Bakugou watched in boredom as his sensei, Eraserhead, took them inside, and that one space weirdo, Thirteen, started preaching to them about the dangers of their quirks. Katsuki didn’t care. He just wanted to learn how to save people. Maybe then he could go out and be useful searching for Deku.
The girl had gone missing a year ago by now when he made that stupid comment about her taking a swan dive off the roof. He was pretty sure she didn’t actually go through with it since no one found her body. At least, that’s what he told himself. That didn’t stop Aunty Inko from closing herself off from the world and making the old hag get depressed from it as well.
His upset mother tried to organize a search party with all her friends. Apparently even Uncle Hisashi had gotten into contact with some friends he still had in Japan to try and find Deku, but no one could. The hag had also forced Katsuki to go search for her, but he mostly just walked around with a few extras from Junior High. They “searched” in arcades or at the stores where he and Deku would buy All Might comics when they were younger. He had never really taken it seriously until he realized that he had started to miss the stupid Deku. He regretted that now
That’s right, Katsuki missed Deku. He had realized he missed her a few months after she vanished. He missed the way she praised him when he did something awesome. He missed her muttering when she got excited. He missed how she was the only one who ever stuck with him when he let his anger get the better of him. She was probably the closest person he had to a friend. Upon realizing this, he had doubled his efforts to be a hero and did his best to change his ways so that there wouldn’t be another Deku in the future.
Then the worst happened.
A black portal opened up and several villains came out. There were a lot of mutants whose quirks made them look monstrous, and those who didn’t have mutations still made their costumes to strike fear into the hearts of those around them. Not Katsuki though. None of them even made his heart quiver. No, it was what the group in the center looked like that made him freeze. The leader himself had white hair and wore black clothing which had several human hands gripping it. The pale man was surrounded by a man made of dark mist and smoke, dressed like a butler, but also three maids. One of which, had familiar green hair. Despite her new confident posture, Katsuki knew it was her.
Why though?
She wanted to be a hero, didn’t she?
So why was Deku with the villains?
-The Past-
Izumi Midoriya woke up to the grinning face of a boy who desperately needed some Chapstick.
“Hey there! Want to become a maid?!”
Izumi jumped to the edge of what she realized was a bed, clutching her sheets to her chest in panic.
“NO! WHAT? WHY? NO!”
She cried.
“Awe come on! It will be awesome!”
The boy said before a much older voice sighed.
“Tomura Shigaraki. You really need to work on your sales pitch.”
A figure dressed as a butler with a purple misty smoke body walked up.
“Greetings Miss. My name is Kurogiri. We found you. Might I ask what your name is?”
The recent memories of what happened flooded her brain. Tears started to flow from her eyes.
“C-call me Deku. Everyone else does.”
The two older figures exchanged glances.
“Am I to assume that Deku is an insulting name given to you by others?”
Kurogiri asked and Izumi and she nodded in tears.
“That’s no good. If you are going to go by a code name, it’s gotta be something cool. Why the hell are they calling you useless anyway?”
Shigaraki said, sounding annoyed.
“I assume it has to do with why you jumped off a building.”
Izumi nodded again, doing her best to choke back sobs. She was such a useless Deku. She couldn’t even kill herself right. Suddenly, she felt a gentle hand on her shoulder with one of the fingers raised. She looked up to see the white-haired boy looking down at her.
“Hey. I recognize the look of someone who was hurt by society. Tell me what happened so we can help you. We’re outcasts as well you know.”
Izumi didn’t know why she did it. Maybe she needed to vent. Maybe it was the prospect of others possibly knowing what she was going through. Maybe it was that she had finally had enough, but she told them everything. From being diagnosed quirkless, to her mother not believing in her, to Kacchan and her classmates tormenting her for years, to All Might crushing her dreams. She didn’t even have the strength to defend Kacchan like she usually did. Though thinking on it, maybe she only defended him out of fear of what he’d do to her if she didn’t.
When she was finished, she sobbed quietly into her knees which she had pulled up to her chest, not wanting to see what their reactions. Kurogiri and Shigaraki looked at her though she couldn’t see their expressions from her face’s hiding spot, but she was sure it was something akin to pity, hatred, or disgust, just like everyone else gave her. She heard Shigaraki take a deep breath.
“When my quirk, decay, came in, I accidentally killed my entire family. I stayed on the street for days. No civilian helped because they thought a hero would. No hero helped me because I wasn’t worth their time. I was left alone to starve and die. Then, Sensei saved me. He approached me and offered me a chance to change the world that hurt me. He reached out a hand to save me. Now I want to extend a hand to save you. Come and together, we will show the world your true worth, not as a hero, but as a villain!”
He said, extending a hand with all but one finger extended.
“Bravo Tomura Shigaraki! That was an excellent speech!”
“Thanks! I based it on one of my anime!”
“… Your speech has become slightly less effective.”
Izumi didn’t hear their banter. She just stared at the hand extended. Even after finding out she was quirkless, he still wanted her. He didn’t think she was useless. He wanted her help when she had nothing to offer. He wanted to help her. Someone actually wanted her.
Shigaraki almost jumped in surprise as he felt a frail and gentle hand wrapped around his. The girl looked up at him with a more hope in her eyes than he had seen in anyone before.
“Do… Do you really want me?”
Shigaraki grinned.
“Of course. Welcome, to the League of Villains!”
-:-
Time flew for Izumi. She spent a month getting closer to Tomura and Kurogiri. She found out that Tomura was very serious about her becoming a “battle maid” and decided that she could focus on the maid part first and the battle part after this mysterious Sensei came back. Apparently, the man’s daughter had recently gone missing but when he came back, Tomura had promised that he would give her a quirk or two. How that would work, she wasn’t sure, but it did excite her. That said, she did hope he would find his daughter. The poor girl must be scared and alone.
Izumi was fine with being a maid. She already knew how to cook and clean and had even started learning some of Tomura’s weird requests like ketchup art on omurice or making pictures in foamy beverages. So far it was just things like hearts and stars, though she was getting better at words and other drawings. When she wasn’t doing maid work, she was being taught by Kurogiri things she should know to pass the year of Junior High she never finished, or she was entertaining Tomura by playing games or watching anime with him. It was weird. She hadn’t done something like that with someone else since before Kacchan got his quirk. She knew Tomura was supposed to be her boss and Kurogiri was supposed to be her superior, but Izumi wondered if this is what it was like to have friends.
Tomura had even given her the code name Izumi Alpha, based on a battle maid in an old anime that he liked. Kurogiri told him it was a terrible name, but Izumi didn’t mind. Not like anyone called her anything but Deku in her old life anyway.
She had even been happy to get her own maid dress, designed by her and Tomura after the show he got the whole idea from. It was an elegant maid outfit which was a simple black dress with a plain white apron and a set of frills on the shoulder seams. There was also a green cloth belt that held up the apron and a green bow mounted in the center of the chest. Included was a green choker to be placed around her neck, the color matching her silky hair which had begun to grow healthier now that Kacchan was no longer around to pull on it and blow it up.
Finally, it was time for Izumi to be presented to Sensei. Dressed in her battle maid garb, Izumi stood patiently behind Tomura just as a maid should, according to Kurogiri, who was making sure the bar was clean. While Izumi cleaned their living quarters, the bar was his space to take care of and tend, something he seemed to enjoy. The screen crackled as a man’s voice came out.
“Apologies for being quiet for so long Tomura. Unfortunately, I still have not found my daughter, but I should not have neglected you for so long.”
Tomura grinned. Izumi had a puzzling memory of that voice. Why did it sound so familiar?
“It’s alright Sensei. I’ve found a new member for the League! Operation Maid is a go! Meet, Izumi Alpha.”
Izumi stepped forward and bowed.
“It is a pleasure to meet you.”
She greeted politely, like Kurogiri told her to. She was met with silence.
“…. Tomura, why is my daughter next to you in a maid outfit?”
-:-
Tomura, Kurogiri, and Izumi, who still wore her maid outfit out of a mix of pride and spite, stood in a warehouse. In front of them was her father, though not as Izumi remembered him. He wore a very nice suit but had a helmet covering his head to hide his face. Apparently, alongside crushing her dreams, All Might also crushed her father’s face so bad that he’d need a time reversal quirk to fix it.
Izumi still hard a hard time coming to terms with the fact that her father, Hisashi Midoriya, was not working from America, but was actually running a massive criminal empire from the shadows, including the League of Villains which hadn’t made its debut yet. Also, he could take and give quirks.
Under normal circumstances, Izumi would feel depressed that her own father hadn’t considered her worthy enough for a quirk, but after spending so much time with Tomura and Kurogiri who actually cared about her, she was kind of pissed. That’s right, Kurogiri and Tomura both cared for her. Granted, it was probably because Tomura was excited for his first maid and that she played video games with him. Meanwhile, Kurogiri had someone to finally help him clean the place. He had pulled her aside multiple times and told her that she was a godsend. Then there was her father who hadn’t even been in her life besides the occasional phone call for the past several years and even then, they were not very long calls either. Certainly not enough to raise a daughter.
“Are you sure about this?” Her father asked. “I had initially planned on taking your mother and you to live with me in the inevitable mansion I built after Shigaraki destroyed hero society. There, you would have wanted for nothing. Even now, I can send you to a hideout where my servants would take care of your every need.”
“Maybe you should have thought of that before mother discouraged my dreams and I tried to kill myself.”
Izumi replied coolly. Maybe she should get a pair of fake glasses to emphasize points like that. It would be neat if she could do one of those glasses adjusted things that people did in Tomura’s anime. The pale skinned boy would probably like that.
“Now, I wish to become a battle maid and help Tomura since he was the only one to help me.”
Her father groaned.
“Fine. If you are going to go in battle, I should at least make sure that you won’t get hurt again. I had initially planned on making a monster called a Nomu out of this. Technically, you shall still be one, but since you are quirkless, you can handle more quirks than most people.”
Only Kurogiri saw the low five that Tomura and Izumi shared.
-:-
That was how Izumi got her first quirk. Her father and the doctor who pronounced her quirkless, started off with Hyper Regeneration. With that, all the wounds Kacchan gave her vanished. With that, she was free from him. Then came Shock Absorption. Perhaps her father wanted to make sure she never got hurt from jumping again. Perhaps it was to protect her from getting hurt by the bullies who used to beat her. Either way, Izumi would never have to feel pain like that again. Then her father filled her with every body enhancement that he could safely fit inside her. Her speed, strength, stamina, and everything else had been boosted. She was still short, only standing at 5’5”, but she filled out her uniform a lot better than her previous skinny and weak body did.
It had taken her a week of recovery after getting so many quirks. The whole process was Dr. Tsubasa, or Garaki as he was actually called, making sure there were no unintended side effects. That was something she was very thankful for when she saw an example of the “Nomu” that her father made.
The one he kept on hand in the lab was very large and very muscular. It had mint green skin and several arms sprouting from its back which it used to move around equipment, each equipped with some kind of tool that it could exchange on order from the doctor or her father. It also listened to her as well which surprised Izumi at first, but she supposed that she had to get used to her father’s legacy now that she had joined him and Tomura. The Nomu’s weirdest part was the head though. It wore a helmet of some kind with red visors and its brain was left exposed. When asked, she was told that it was a feature that all but the best Nomu had. Again, she was thankful that she was still her and not one of them. The Nomu also had a gag in its mouth. Her father didn’t have a good answer for that one.
Quirk therapy was a painful, yet exciting process for Izumi. First it was simple things. Beat up a sandbag for her body enhancements. Heal from a minor cut to get used to Hyper Regeneration. Throw a ball at the wall and get hit to test her Shock Absorption. Eventually, they moved on to harder things such as beating heavier bags and breaking objects to test her new body. She would get stabbed and cut deeper to test her Hyper Regeneration, burns and other attacks being included by other weaker Nomu that the doctor apparently had available. She was even getting hit by a pitching machine to test Shock Absorption. Finally, she actually had to fight the Nomu.
“Everyone thinks All Might is invincible. That he can wipe away all worries with nothing but a smile.”
Izumi’s father said as the girl ducked a hammer, sending a strong right that Kacchan had used on her many times. The creature faltered before two more hammers hit the ground in front of her. Izumi barely dodged and threw another punch as her father continued.
“They say he is stronger than anyone. Faster than anyone. That he is invulnerable to any blow he takes.”
Izumi took a blow to her head, causing her to flinch but keep fighting. She drove a fist into its gut, but two more hammers hit her own stomach. She flinched again out of instinct, even though it didn’t actually hurt.
“You and I know that this isn’t true. That same smile hides that he himself was once as quirkless as you were, yet despite this, he denied you hope. He knew what it was like to suffer from having no quirk in a society that values them, and yet he left you on top of the roof, telling you to be realistic.”
Izumi dashed to the side of the Nomu, landing two more punches. They were clumsy but they caused the creature to wince from the force of her blows. A chainsaw revved and sliced at her, cutting into her arm. The wound healed in a second as the monster turned to face her, hammers swinging and a second chainsaw revving.
“He left you to die.”
Izumi took the hammer blows, almost stopping herself from flinching as she sent a strong right to its chest. It tried to block with a chainsaw but Izumi’s other hand launched forward, deflecting the blow at the cost of her fingers. The wound regenerated yet again. Her punch landed a solid blow, causing the Nomu to groan into its gag.
“You’ve seen the damage done to his body. You’ve seen how weakened he has become, yet he still pretends to be superior. Where he will only get weaker, you are able to shrug off any blows and those you can’t, will soon cease to exist.”
Izumi took several hammer blows again, this time, launching a flurry of random punches at the Nomu’s chest. The hammers felt like punches from a toddler. Yesterday they felt like Bakugou’s fists. Pain filled her body again as the chainsaws pierced her sides. Izumi grabbed them and forced them out, her hyper regeneration fixing the issue before she could even worry. She yanked the chainsaws forward, causing the Nomu to stumble into her own right uppercut. It stumbled backwards in a daze.
“You are faster than All Might.”
She dodged through several clumsy blows from the dazed beast.
“You are stronger than All Might.”
She sent another strong right, hearing a crack as she sent the Nomu flying back, ignoring all the blows its flailing caused.
“You are able to withstand attacks that he never could.”
Her Hyper Regeneration finished fixing any remaining damage.
“You are our secret weapon. You are our Anti-All Might. You are our Symbol of Change. Most importantly of all…”
The man said, pacing forward as the Nomu tried and failed to get back up due to several strikes against its leg. The doctor tended to the creature. Finally, coming at a stop in front of Izumi, the shadow leader of the underground placed a hand on her head.
“You are my daughter. I would have been proud of you, no matter what path you took.”
Izumi would not deny the return of her waterworks as she hugged her father.
-:-
When Izumi returned from her quirk therapy/training she found Tomura and Kurogiri waiting for her. To her surprise, Tomura leapt at her. Izumi almost punched him out of instinct but stopped herself as the boy’s arms wrapped around her in a hug.
“Alphaaa. I was so bored without you here. My room’s a mess and Kurogiri’s cooking sucks compared to yours.”
Izumi awkwardly patted his head and looked up at Kurogiri.
“He kept forgetting you weren’t here for the first few days. He seemed quite put out of things.”
“Shut up Kurogiri!”
Tomura growled. Izumi smiled down at him.
“Don’t worry Shigaraki-sama. I am home.”
-:-
It was weird how someone doesn’t realize how bad for them their old life was until they were in a better place. She had always forgiven Kacchan. She knew what he did was wrong but no one ever told him no. No one but her ever tried to help him. When he hurt her, she would always tell herself excuses as to why it wasn’t his fault and most of the time it was hers. Now with Kurogiri and Tomura, she knew better. Bakugou would blow up at her if she so much as said good morning at the wrong time or not at all. With one of her better teachers, she once scored higher than him by one point on a test and Bakugou had beat her behind the school for that. He even told her to kill herself when she said she wanted to go to the same Highschool as him.
Here though, she could legitimately mess up and she was fine. When she messed up ketchup art for Tomura, he would complain that she ruined his breakfast but then eat the whole thing and left it at that. Then he would ask for the same thing the next day. She started to learn that he just liked to complain but he never got really mad at her. Then, when she was learning to iron so she could keep her and Kurogiri’s clothing in good condition, she had burnt several of Tomura’s shirts that she had been practicing on. Kurogiri didn’t yell at her or fight her. He gently explained what she did wrong and had her try again. Tomura didn’t even notice. She soon realized that what Kacchan did wasn’t her fault either. Even if no one besides her told him to stop, he should not have treated her that way.
Then there was All might. Izumi had practically worshiped him, her room pretty much being a museum to him. Then he broke her dreams. He shattered them entirely and “left her on a roof to die” as her father put it. Now she had her own room again and it was empty. When she thought back at her old decorations, it was all All Might. Had she really been that dedicated to him that she had nothing else? She had her quirk analysis but everything else was All Might, who she learned was actually not that great of a person. Her new room was baren, with just a desk and computer for her new online schoolwork and the Quirkless Support Forums that she still frequented, despite having multiple quirks now.
Speaking of support and her old room, there was also the matter of her mother. Izumi would be lying if she said she didn’t miss Inko sometimes, but whenever she thought back to her mother, she could only remember those pitying looks. When Izumi thought back on it, she realized just how often she got them. When she talked about heroes, it was a look of pity and a hasty change of subjects. When she came home after a particularly bad time with Kacchan, trying to hide her tears and bruises, it was a look of pity and pretending everything was fine along with her.
Sometimes when Izumi sat with her father, she would tell him about what she had gone through. His reactions were different. Sometimes he would get angry for her sake. Sometimes it was pride in what she accomplished. Sometimes he just nodded along in thought. He never looked at her in pity though. He never looked at her like she had been lesser because of it. She even knew that her father disapproved of her being a maid, but he still supported her decision. He even helped get a tailor to make more of her maid outfits in case her current one tore. Her time reconnecting with her father had made Izumi realize that her relationship with her mother was not healthy as well. It wasn’t as bad as with Kacchan but it wasn’t good either.
Sometimes she wondered what life might have been like if she had still been trapped her previous mindset, but quickly decide that she was better off now.
-:-
“How do you feel about killing?”
Tomura asked her one day out of the blue. Izumi blinked, not expecting that question.
“I would rather not.”
The hand covered villain raised an eyebrow.
“Does it bother you if I do it?”
“I don’t know.”
-:-
Izumi and Tomura stood in front of a group of small-time villains. Izumi was in her maid uniform with a pair of spiked green gauntlets around her arms. These were to defend against slashing attacks since, while she could easily regenerate from them, it would be very annoying in combat. Tomura was in a black shirt and a pair of black pants with severed hands decorating his body.
The gang of villains were simple, according to their informant, who acted as muscle for robberies and such. The leaders of which were some guy with a heavy bodysuit and a gasmask with large bull horns sticking out of it, a guy who looked like a sheet of paper cut into a person shape but with a red eye on each limb, and what looked like an anthropomorphic pig who wore a loin cloth and carried a large sword-like cleaver. Behind them were various other villains with mutant quirks or disfigurements.
“So, what do you say?” Tomura asked after finishing his recruitment pitch. “Are you ready to get rid of that Symbol of Oppression and Sanctioned Violence?”
They all stayed silent for a moment before laughing.
“You want us to help some sniveling man child and his maid take down the strongest hero-boo?”
The pig man oinked before eyeing Izumi with a dark look in his eyes. Izumi remembered Kacchan having that look a few times before he blew her up or burned her.
“I’ll tell you what. She’s a pretty thing-boo. Give her to me for a while and maybe I’ll hire you for our next heist job so you can forget about all those unrealistic dreams-boo.”
Tomura reacted faster than anyone expected, his hand grabbing the pig man’s throat. The man squealed in fear and pain as his body rapidly decayed into dust. Tomura stood over the ashy remains as he glared at the other villains.
“Anyone else want to waste my time or are you in?”
-:-
“Shigaraki-sama?”
“Yes Alpha?”
“I am fine with it for people like that.”
-:-
Izumi was in her room, just finishing up a day of her online schoolwork when there was a knock on her door.
“Come in.”
Izumi called and the door opened. In stepped Kurogiri, standing prim and proper like usual.
“Good evening, Izumi Alpha. I trust all is well?”
“Good evening, Kurogiri. Everything is fine. To what do I owe the pleasure?”
“We have a gift for you. Master asked that you make sure to get light exercise to practice your fighting style so we had this made.”
He held out a hand and a large sandbag came out of a portal in an empty corner in Izumi’s room. Izumi walked over and started examining it.
“The leather containing it was made specially to withstand a high amount of damage and the inside is filled with iron sand to add weight. Shigaraki also added his own special touch.”
Izumi smiled as her fingers brushed over a picture of All Might’s face taped on to the front.
“Thank you, Kurogiri. It’s great. Tell Shigaraki-sama that his idea was perfect.”
The butler bowed and backed out of the room as Izumi went to go play one of her boxing instruction videos.
-:-
Izumi and Tomura were walking down the street after another successful recruitment. The levels of success were debatable since they only got one villain from it, but it was still a success since he was the only one they really wanted. Tomura was currently participating in his favorite pastime. Complaining.
“So this Karma Chameleon guy…”
“Invisible Wall.”
“Yeah, that guy. Why does he think he’ll get paid that much?”
“He’s overestimating himself, just like most of the other villains we’ve been recruiting with the exception of maybe Tesla. He’ll probably be good for a distraction or taking down particularly weak students. His quirk is a good one but unless he stops underestimating everyone, he’ll be just like the other E-ranks.”
“That is, if I don’t dust him first.”
The two paused as they noticed a pair of heroes watching a body bag get taken away, a crowd dispersing.
Izumi frowned.
“What happened here?”
One of the people who were walking past looked at the two.
“You didn’t hear? That villainous Ito boy committed suicide. He was using his quirk to control a girl to date him. She broke out and told everyone, so he jumped. Good riddance I say.”
The woman said as she walked off, not noticing the dark look on Izumi’s face.
“Hey Alpha. Who are those heroes?”
Tomura said, distracting her. The maid took a moment to look over the two of them. It took a second, but Izumi recognized them. They were some lesser-known heroes, having just made their debut a few months ago out of Isamu if she remembered correctly.
“Pro heroes Captain Charisma and Wheelout. Wheelout can create wheels that he uses to travel and increase the speed of his attacks, or he will use them to bind villains he captures. Meanwhile, Captain Charisma gets more powerful the more people he has cheering for him, which is why he usually live streams his fights, so that he draws in more of a crowd, though he usually keeps the stream off otherwise.”
Tomura nodded as they started listening in to the pro heroes while the streets emptied.
“What was his quirk again?”
Captain Charisma asked, stroking his chin.
“Pheromones. The kid could use them to control the moods of animals and people. Even control their minds if that girl was to be believed.”
Wheelout answered, arms crossed as he looked at the remaining blood stains.
“Wow. Glad I never had to meet that kid when he was alive. Sounds like they were a real creep.”
"He did us all a favor at least. While I doubt, he actually controlled her like he said, with a quirk like that, he was sure to become a villain."
"Hah. Probably. At least that villainous quirk gave her an out to break up with him. Probably got a lot of sympathy points too. Could you imagine if he had been quirkless?"
"As if anyone would lower themselves to falling for one of those things."
Izumi clenched her fists as the two laughed. She had to stay calm. She had to stay calm. She was safe. She was no longer powerless. She was safe right here with Tomura and-. Wait. Where did Tomura go?
"Hey there. Are you Wheelout?"
Izumi's eyes widened as she realized Tomura was walking towards the two heroes.
"I'm a big fan of yours. And you’re Captain Charisma, aren’t you? You two are so cool. Can I shake your hands?"
-:-
"So, do either of you two want to explain why two heroes have gone missing, like dust in the wind?"
All for One asked, through the screen in the bar. Izumi glanced at Tomura who remained silent, scratching at his neck. She had been in this situation many times. Instead of her father, it was usually a teacher or the principal. Instead of Tomura, it was Kacchan or another student. No matter what happened, she was always to blame. Even if he was her father, he had chosen to raise Tomura instead of her. This would probably be similar so she might as well get it over with. Izumi stepped forward.
“It was my fault, Father. A boy had committed suicide by jumping and they were making light of it. It felt a bit too close to home so I-.”
“Alpha.”
Izumi subconsciously flinched as Tomura interrupted her.
“You don’t need to take the fall for me.”
He said before stepping in front of her.
“It was me, Sensei. I heard them talking shit about people with villainous quirks and quirkless people. I got pissed off and when I saw that it was upsetting my maid, I went and killed them. Alpha didn’t do anything besides take a blow for me.”
Izumi noticed that Tomura left out that she punched Captain Charisma in the gut after taking said blow. She was pretty sure she broke a few of his ribs with that punch too.
There was silence before Hisashi’s voice came from the screen again.
“It was inevitable, I suppose. The goal is to get rid of the corrupt heroes of our society and you two were not seen so no harm came from it. The heroes in the area might be a bit more wary and there will be an investigation but as you two are currently unknown, no one will draw the connection till after your debut. I hope that if you two do it again, you will exercise great caution.”
“Yes Sensei.”
“Yes Father.”
-:-
“Alpha. Sit with me.”
Tomura said from the bar.
“Yes Shigaraki-sama?”
Izumi asked, sitting at a bar stool while smoothing out her dress. Kurogiri cleaned a glass nearby but seemed to be out of the conversation.
“I mentioned a bit about my life to you before. The one before Sensei saved me. I had a family that I lived with. I had two grandparents, my parents, and even a sister. My father hated heroes. Anyone who talked about them got punished. I was punished a lot. I don’t remember a lot of the details. I was young then, but I remember hurting.”
Izumi listened attentively. Tomura didn’t talk a lot about his past. Just that the hands he wore were his family’s. She knew he accidentally killed them and had assumed that this was his way of grieving.
“My grandmother on my father’s side was a hero. I don’t know who she was. Father never talked about her, but I think she is the reason why he hated heroes. My sister found a picture of her and showed me. Father found out that someone had found the picture and she blamed me to get out of trouble. Father was all too quick to accept that.”
He took a drink. Izumi was frowning. She knew what that was like, and she hated that someone else had to go through that. Especially someone who helped her as much as Tomura did.
“My own sister, blamed me for something she did because she was afraid.”
He looked at her.
“But you didn’t. It wasn’t your fault, yet you stepped up and took the blame for me. The League has been the best thing to ever happen to me. Sensei has been a better father to me than my own and you are a better sister than my own sister was. Kurogiri… I’m not sure what he is but he’s a hell of a lot better than whatever my old family’s equivalent was. Point is, thank you, Izumi.”
Izumi smiled at him.
“You know, I am used to taking the blame for things. That was the first time someone didn’t blame me to get out of trouble. I feel the same way about you Tomura. Thank you for saving me.”
With that, she hugged her brother figure. He tentatively hugged her back, making sure to keep a finger on each hand raised.
-:-
Izumi worked hard to curve her old habits. Surprisingly to her, the easiest to lose was flinching whenever someone reached towards her. Turns out, getting hit by hammers and chainsaws from a six-foot something behemoth and then not feeling anything afterwards did wonders for that. She was still working on explosions though.
Posture was another simple fix. Simple, not easy. Izumi was used to trying to make herself look as small as possible so no one would notice her. It never worked with Kacchan but it sometimes worked with her mother and it usually worked with a lot of the kids at school. Since day one though, Kurogiri had been trying to help her correct her posture. At first, she had been acting. Playing the part because that’s what was asked of her. Slowly though, her act seemed to become a part of her. Especially after gaining her quirks. Within a few months, Izumi was able to stand up straight and walk with a purpose. That had strangely excited her. Especially when she saw how many of the villains they recruited gave her the same looks other people used to give Kacchan.
Unfortunately, her muttering, stuttering, and rampant nerding out over quirks was a lot harder. Once again, Kurogiri and started helping her from day one. When she stuttered, Kurogiri would calmy wait for her to finish before asking her to repeat what she had said. Their conversations were very long at first due to having to say every sentence once or twice, but as time went on, their conversations became shorter, and she was able to speak normally. Her muttering was something that was harder to do. It was mostly because her thoughts started to get so jumbled and had nowhere to go. Her father helped her with that one. Like her, he was a quirk nerd. He always had been which is why he loved collecting new quirks with his own. He taught her how to organize her mind and keep her thoughts from getting cluttered. Mental organization and memory training exercises were something they started focusing on every Wednesday and it quickly ended up becoming their father/daughter bonding night. They would spend some time on that, and some time on quirk analysis itself.
She’s still a quirk nerd though. Her father never tried to change that about her. Instead, he taught her how to get the maximum information out of the minimum amount of questions. She was still working on that it seems, which she realized when meeting the girl in front of her in the rain. That, led to her hardest habit to kick.
She was supposed to be a villain, right? Why was she still so heroic? Time and time again, she moved without thinking to save someone. She got hit by a car to save a kid playing in the street the other day, though it did more damage to the car than her. She took blows meant for Tomura, even if he could have handled it. She helped an old lady carry groceries when she was out shopping herself. She couldn’t stop herself from helping others, just like right now.
Even as she stared down at the girl in front of her, holding an umbrella over her so she doesn’t get even more drenched from the rain than she already was, Izumi wanted to help her. She wanted to make sure this girl who was hurting was okay. She wanted to be to this girl what Tomura had been to her.
She didn’t think of much else besides wanting to make sure the girl was okay, even while feeding her and taking her home. It wasn’t until she had successfully seen the girl to bed did Izumi realize what she had been doing. All she thought about was the hope that sparked in the girl’s eyes.
-:-
“Who said you could even bring her here?”
Tomura growled, talking about the girl Izumi brought in.
“Why did you even bring her here? Don’t tell me it was because you were feeling heroic. We’re villains, Alpha. You told me your intentions of being a hero died when All Might left you on that roof.”
Izumi stood patiently in front of her older brother figure as he complained like he always did. This was a bit more intense than usual. Before tonight she would have felt conflicted. She knew that she was a villain, yet she didn’t act like one. Her father was not just a villain, but THE villain. She was training to defeat All Might, who wasn’t just any hero, but THE hero. Even so though, she remembered the spark of hope in that girl’s eyes.
“What I said was that my intention of being a part of hero society died when you extended your hand to me, and All Might didn’t. Besides, she needed help. I couldn’t just leave her there.”
She replied in an even tone, because now she knew what she wanted to be. No matter how much she tried to tell herself otherwise, she still wanted to be a hero who saves people. However, now the people she wanted to be a hero for was for people like herself and Tomura. Those who society decided were villains because of things they had no control over. She wanted to be a hero for this girl.
Convincing Tomura wasn’t as hard as she expected it to be. She wondered if maybe he felt the same in his own unique way.
That or he just wanted another battle maid.
-:-
Izumi expected several reactions when she told her father her new goals in their next meeting. Maybe he would try to discourage her from being a hero, just like her mother did. Maybe he would just give her a disapproving shake of his head and send her back to the bar. Maybe he would cut down their analysis time to give her more mental exercises to change her thoughts on the matter.
Instead, he smiled at her and gently brought her into a hug.
“I told you before that I would have been proud of you, no matter what path you took.”
He said as Izumi hugged her father back.
“I meant it then and I mean it now. I am proud of you, my baby girl.”
It looked like Izumi hadn’t entirely gotten rid of her crying habit either.
-:-
“Hey Alpha.”
A file landed in front of Izumi.
“Yes Shigaraki-sama?”
“What do you think? She’d a make a good maid huh?”
Izumi considered the file.
“Needle Hair is a decent ranged lineup and compliments our current abilities, so either way she is worth recruiting.”
-:-
“Front lines.”
Shigaraki grumbled as the two of them walked away.
“She would be a disgrace of a maid.”
Izumi agreed as she walked next to him.
“Who just shoots at people in the middle of them talking?”
“Someone with no class, that’s who.”
“Beta’s going to work overtime repairing our stuff.”
“It’s better than her being bored at least.”
Kurogiri watched the two walk back into the bar. It warmed his heart to see them in the rare moment where they acted like siblings rather than their Maid and Master act.
-:-
Izumi had always wanted to got UA as a kid. How could she not? It was the greatest hero school in all of Japan. It had produced the greatest heroes like All Might (Quirkist Fake), Endeavor (Did he even know what the term “casualties” was?), and Best Jeanist(There is no way someone that obsessed with their image was that clean). There were dozens, if not hundreds of other pro heroes to come from the school too. She had wanted to go to UA so badly.
That’s what got her here in the first place though, wasn’t it?
She still had nightmares sometimes. She would be standing there on the roof with All Might. She was quirkless again and he would tell her to be realistic and then his face would morph into Kacchan’s and he’d tell her to take a swan dive off the roof. Left unsaid was “Kill yourself right this time”.
Thankfully she stopped having those dreams when she started having cuddle sessions with the newest addition to their little group.
Still, maybe in another life, she might have taken the entrance exam today. Running around trying to compete while quirkless, barring some random act of fate that would give her a quirk. It might be cynical of her to say it, but Izumi doubted they would let her in. Especially if they held the same views as All Might, whom her father said was recently hired on as a teacher.
Izumi cast a glance in the direction of the campus, just one train stop away, the setting sun casting a warm glow on the platform she stood on. She was probably tempting fate, being this close to it. All Might and Kacchan knew her face and would be able to recognize her, even if she hadn’t encountered them since she vanished ten months ago. Then there was the principal that even her father was wary of.
It is one of the reasons why she waited so late to head back home. All the UA hopefuls had probably already hopped on the train and gone home already. Everyone else on would be tired businessmen and creeps whom she could easily dismantle if they tried anything.
Finally, the train arrived and Izumi stepped on, looking for a place to sit. Her eyes fell on a girl around her age with brown hair. She seemed to be nodding off as she sat, a pair of crutches by her side and bandages wrapped around her legs. This couldn’t be good.
-:-
Izumi sat at her desk, doing some work sheets she printed off for her online classes. She had brought another girl home with her. Thankfully Tomura didn’t mind having this one as much as he did before. Probably because she assured him that the girl would be gone by the time he woke up from his video game binge.
Again, Izumi felt happy that she helped this girl. She had even let the brunette sleep off her weariness in the maid’s own bed. Actually, considering that the girl had just finished taking the UA Entrance Exam, Izumi should probably clean the sheets after seeing the girl safely home. Though, considering that the girl was currently looking at the omurice that Izumi had brought her as if it were the finest piece of art that anyone had made, Izumi didn’t mind if she stayed a bit longer.
She internally laughed as the girl’s stomach growled and she went back to her schoolwork, hearing the girl take a bite of the food.
“I want to marry her.”
The girl muttered and Izumi’s face lit up pink. Marriage just because of food? That was a bit much wasn’t it? She must have misheard her. There’s no way anyone would want to marry her anyway, right? Well, not that she would mind being with this girl. Wait, where did that come from?
By the time Izumi collected herself, she would be very thankful that she had grown out of her muttering.
-:-
Izumi and Tomura stood in full villain garb over a sniveling man wearing a purple bodysuit. He was beaten black and blue with no small amount of satisfaction from Izumi herself. His support gear that stored the sticky liquid he could create was shattered to pieces long before he could even try to counterattack.
She knew Tomura had enjoyed the show.
“Why are you doing this?”
The man sobbed, his limbs shattered.
“You took something that wasn’t yours.” Izumi said with a tone colder than the ninth circle of Hell. “You paid off a scum of a man to do so as well.”
“W-what are you talking about?”
The man said in fear and Izumi leaned forward with a glare.
“Don’t give me that. That girl was trying her hardest to become a hero and you preyed on her because she was pretty and vulnerable.”
The man cried out any excuse he could, but the maid wasn’t hearing it. Izumi gave Tomura a look and he grinned, stepping forward.
“The Royal Hero: Purpleman, was it? What a joke.”
The hand covered villain said as he crouched down in front of the man.
“I wonder if anyone will actually miss you.”
With that, the fake hero joined Captain Charisma and Wheelout. The two watched him drift away in the wind. Izumi didn’t usually like seeing Tomura do this, but they couldn’t send the pervert to jail. Not like he could do to villains. Then again, they were villains, so they had a different way of doing things, and his quirk wasn’t worth taking.
-:-
Tomura and Izumi walked home quietly in the moonlight, the maid a few steps behind her “master” like a good maid should.
“So.” Tomura started, breaking the silence. “You think that girl you saved was pretty, huh? I wonder what Beta will think about that.”
Izumi was proud to say that she was doing great at maintaining her new elegant composure most of the time. As her face turned red in embarrassment and she tried to sputter out a sentence, it was clear that this was not one of those times.
-:-
Izumi had to admit that maybe she was letting her excitement get to her. Sure, she had brought the girl in when she was in trouble, but she was in and out in less than twenty-four hours. Okay, she also threatened that scum that tried to take advantage of her too but who knows how many other people he did that to? She was just looking out for others. Also, she may have hunted down the fake hero who had taken advantage of her being taken advantage of, but wasn’t their goal to hunt down those fakes anyway?
So why did she keep in contact with this girl? Why did Izumi tell her about what happened with All Might? The Girl was supposed to become a hero, right? She as applying to the very school Izumi and Tomura were going to attack, with the plan of using the students as hostages. SHE might be one of those hostages.
So why did Izumi ask to be there when she got her UA acceptance letter? Was it because Izumi wanted to see what she might have gotten if she had tried to become a hero? Or was it…
I want to marry her.
You think that girl you saved was pretty, huh?
Izumi cursed those two for putting such ideas in her head. She shouldn’t get hopeful. That always worked out so well in Aldera. Then again, it was always boys asking her out back then.
A flash of the joy filled eyes of the first one she saved filled Izumi’s mind as the girl twirled in her new maid outfit.
I hope this dress looks as cute on me as yours does on you.
At the time, those words made her feel a similar way. Why did she feel this way about those two girls?
Izumi was going to have to talk to her father about this.
Still though, it’s not like her newest friend was in a position to want to join the villains. After the crap that she went through in the exam, UA wouldn’t just ignore their own mistakes and blame the girl for getting hurt, right? There was no way this was going to be another All Might situation.
-:-
Damnit. This is another All Might situation.
Izumi thought as she comforted the crying girl, gently rubbing circles into her back. Izumi guided the sobbing girl to the brunette’s bed and sat there, trying to comfort the girl. It was weird. Izumi was usually the one being comforted, but she didn’t dislike having this girl in her arms. It made Izumi feel like she could protect her from all the darkness in the world, like those fake heroes.
Izumi couldn’t tell how long it took for the crying to end but she held the girl as long as she needed.
“Is this what it felt like? When All Might told you that you couldn’t be a hero?”
The girl asked her, looking up with her big round eyes. Izumi’s heart broke for the girl. She remembered standing there as All Might shattered her dreams, the crushing realization of all her hopes for the future being thrown away into the wind.
“Yes. It felt something like this.”
Izumi said as she continued to comfort the crying brunette. Izumi made up her mind. She would tell her everything and maybe the girl would join her. The heroes didn’t deserve to have someone like this girl, and Izumi would make sure she would be where she was appreciated.
-:-
Izumi watched as her fellow maid squealed over the new inclusion in their group, the brunette blushing in embarrassment at the attention. Kurogiri offered a warm welcome and Tomura was all but doing a dance.
“Alpha! Beta! Kurogiri! It’s movie night! Prepare the snacks because we are watching anime!”
He said, running to get the anime that Izumi and her fellow maid got their outfits from. Speaking of her fellow maid, the girl was currently cheering as well.
“YES! CUDDLE TIME!”
Izumi smiled as the brunette cast shy glance to her as the other girl sent an excited look.
Izumi would never say no to cuddling with her favorite people. Though the closeness of them did make her heart flutter again. She really needed to talk to her father.
-:-
“Dad?”
Izumi watched Hisashi pause in the middle of the two of them analyzing the quirks of the water team she and Tomura just recruited. It was their weekly father/daughter night, again. It was nice to reconnect to with her father like this. She missed it when she was a child, watching him pour over videos and different people as he analyzed their quirks. That was half the reason why she got into analysis after all. Now that she had joined him, they did the same activity again, though now she was able to contribute. However, she always called him Father and very rarely Dad, which had gotten Hisashi’s attention quicker than usual.
“Yes dear? Is everything alright?”
The criminal mastermind asked.
“Did you love Mom?”
The suit wearing man thought for a moment.
“I believe I did. I’ve been alive for a couple hundred years and Inko was the first partner I’ve taken. At least she’s the only one I can remember.”
“What drew you to her?”
“I’m not too sure. Her kindness surprised me and that got me curious. The more time I spent with her, the more I started to like things about her. She was nice to talk with. She was an amazing cook. Her constant worrying did get on my nerves a bit, but we were able to move past that. Plus, she gave me my greatest treasure of all. You.”
Izumi blushed in embarrassment.
“F-father…”
The boogeyman of the underworld gave a jolly laugh.
“May I know why you are asking?”
“I was just curious. Nothing more.”
“Hmmm. Is it because you aren’t sure about your own feelings towards Inko, or is it because of the two other maids you have living with you? Kurogiri told me about you three’s cuddling sessions.”
Izumi’s face turned red, all attempts to be graceful like a maid should be, completely shot.
“H-hey! Let’s check out this guy. Oxy-man. He can create oxygen for his body so he can stay underwater without drowning. Do you think that’s just limited to himself or can he share it with others?”
Hisashi laughed again at her changing the subject and went along with his daughter’s wishes.
-:-
Izumi sighed as she lifted the couch that Tomura and her fellow maids were on. She mopped under them as fast as she could so she could set them down again. She had gotten used to her new monstrous strength by now, but the eyes of her two cute fellow maids on her was something she didn’t think she would ever get used to.
She was also having a hard time getting used to Tomura teasing her afterwards.
Especially since he might be right.
-:-
Cuddling wasn’t something that was new to Izumi. Not anymore at least. What had started after comforting the first of her two now-crushes when they first met only increased over time to the point where they would share a bed more often than not on account of nightmares or loneliness.
What she didn’t expect was for her first crush to invite her second crush to join them. Izumi was just glad that the darkness of the bedroom hid her blushing face from the even more red-faced brunette. That said, the two of them snuggled up against her did feel really nice.
-:-
If you were to ask who Izumi took inspiration from the most, you would never expect the answer. She had long since given up on following All Might’s example. She may have once been really interested in Eraserhead because he pretty much fought quirkless, but Izumi didn’t need to do that anymore and she didn’t know too much about his personality other than that he was efficient and took care of cats. It was actually the pro-hero Midnight whom Izumi now took inspiration from.
One never would have expected that from someone who projected elegance and grace as much as the leader of the League of Villains’ Pleiades Battle Maids, but it all started from talking with Kurogiri, as most meaningful conversations anyone in the League had, did.
They were talking about heroic personas and how Izumi acted differently in situations when in her maid uniform. They had used a few examples of heroic personas such as Mirko and Fat Gum who, sources say, acted pretty much the same in and out of costume. Then there were those like All Might who projected that everything was alright and fine on the outside, but when he was alone, he was a weak man who evidently did not believe that “anyone can be a hero” like he had claimed.
“I believe the hero you are most similar to would be Midnight.”
Kurogiri said, causing the maid to blink in surprise, her cup of tea halfway to her mouth.
“The R-Rated Hero: Midnight?” Izumi asked, glancing down at her admittedly conservative dress. “How?”
“Forgive me Izumi Alpha, but you only know of her outward appearance, not how she acts in her personal time.”
Izumi frowned and nodded.
“That is true. Mom thought she was a bad influence and never really let me watch her interviews. Then again, when you get a new scandal on some hero or heroine using sex appeal twice a month with Midnight being accused of being the main influence, it would make sense she didn’t like her. Mom would always say ‘I don’t think my heart could take it if I saw you running around dressed like that’.”
Izumi let out a light laugh.
“I can’t imagine her face if she had seen Midnight’s original costume.”
“Quite.”
Kurogiri said before going silent. Due to his face being made of everchanging smoke/mist, Izumi could never tell exactly what the yellow eyed man was feeling, but he seemed almost wistful?
“Kurogiri. Are you alright?”
Izumi asked her senior villain with some concern. The man shook himself.
“Apologies. I was lost in thought. As I was saying, Midnight’s heroic personality is really just her playing up her flirtatious and teasing side. Her true nature, from what I remember, was still always excitable and she loved showing off, but also had a lot more to it. She made meaningful connections to those who needed it. She was kind and caring. She even took in a kitten that three of her friends found but were unable to take care of themselves, much like how you took in Miss Beta.”
Izumi blushed in embarrassment at the mention of one of her crushes. Kurogiri continued.
“You project elegance instead of teasing and intelligence instead of flirting, however that is still very much a part of your true self. Ever since you joined us, you have grown as a person and Izumi Alpha has become a part of you. You are also kind and care about others which makes those who know you all the better for it. So even if you pretend to be more than what you are, you are still you, much like Midnight is still herself.”
Izumi’s face heated up from the barrage of compliments from her surrogate uncle.
That night, as they were getting ready for bed, Izumi decided to ask the girls. Both looked at her in surprise when she asked the question.
“Hmm? Oh yeah, you totally do act differently when you are out as a maid, don’t you? Now that I think about it, you acted a lot more formal around Mom and Dad when you first met them. I guess you just never really acted too much like that around me to notice.”
The brunette said, rubbing the back of her head as she laughed. The other girl grinned, mischief in her eyes.
“Sorry Izumi-chan, but you kind of sucked at it when we first met. You still cried at least twice a week when you first took me in.”
Izumi blushed and both girls moved to hug her.
“Don’t worry Izumi-chan. We like you just the way you are.”
“Yeah Izumi-chan. You are special to us, and nothing will change that.”
If Izumi currently wasn’t busy blushing up a storm as the two declared their appreciation for her and nuzzled into her with their hugs, she would have been crying. She hoped Midnight had people who told her stuff like this too.
-:-
Before joining the League of Villains, the only laughter Izumi heard was people laughing at her and All Might’s laugh, both things that haunted her nightmares. At least, they used to.
“Hey hey, Izumi-chan! Can we do that thing again please?”
The head maid blushed at the sudden request.
“I’d rather not. It is unbecoming...”
“Come on Izumi-chan! Please!”
Izumi wanted to refuse. It was not proper for a maid to do such an action. Unfortunately for her though, she couldn’t say no to either of them, even if the Brunette remained silent about her desires as the other one bounced up and down with sparkling eyes. Izumi let out a sigh.
“Very well.”
There were two cheers and soon one was dangling from her arm while the other sat on her forearm as Izumi flexed. Their joyful giggles that Izumi was the direct result of made her happy. With these two, Tomura, Kurogiri, and her father, Izumi could enjoy laughter again.
-:-
Izumi squeezed the hands of the girls on either side of her as she reflected on her life for the past year. She had hit her lowest point in her life. Her dreams of being a hero had been shattered by the very people she wanted to be like. She had been too weak to stand up for both herself and others, so she chose others and suffered for it. She had been ugly, covered in scars that chained her to her tormentor. She had no one to support her. She had tried to kill herself.
Now, as Izumi stood proudly next to her fellow maids and older brother figure, waiting for Kurogiri to make his portal, she knew things were different. She had a supportive family. She had loved ones. She was no longer the frail and damaged quirkless girl that she had been. She now was strong, beautiful, and most importantly of all, happy.
It was a shame she had to become a villain to do it, but Izumi didn’t regret a single thing.
-Present Day-
The students watched as Aizawa leapt down to fight the villains in the plaza. They quickly turned to leave when the large misty figure appeared.
“I’m afraid I can’t allow that.” The villain stated. “Greetings. We are the League of Villains, and we've come here to end the life of All Might. We were under the impression that he would be here today, but I don't see him. Tell me, where is he?"
There was silence.
“Not answering? Oh well, I suppose I should perform my job.”
He said, preparing to launch his mist at the group. Bakugou and Kirishima bravely charged forward both attacking, Kirishima swinging a hardened arm while Bakugou let out an explosion. As soon as they were about to hit though, a hand reached out and seemed to absorb the explosion. Another hand reached out and grabbed Kirishima who was then thrown into Bakugou as if he weighed nothing. A female figure leapt out of the mist-like portal and extended her hand, an explosion engulfing the two students. The girl stood up straight and the class realized that she was yet another maid, but three of them in particular recognized her.
She was a short girl with a fairly curvy form. Her fair skin only pronounced the perpetual blush on her face which was framed by her shoulder length brown hair. Her hair color matched her eyes which were large and round, yet shone in a mix of determination and anger. She wore a bonnet on her head and a long black maid dress with several white frills decorating it, including a white bow around her collar. Her extended hand revealed the pads of her fingers were slightly more pronounced than most.
“Hello. My name is Ocharaka Gamma. It is a pleasure to meet you all. Though some of you I remember from before. Glasses-san. Raven-san. Sparkles-san. Last time I saw you was at the entrance exam where you had abandoned me to get crushed by the zero-pointer robot. I never got to thank you for that. I guess I’ll have to do that now.”
She said before stepping forward, a determined glare on her face. Thirteen stepped forward and created a black hole. It faltered a bit before the maid created one of her own. Thirteen’s eyes widened.
“How?”
The maid gave a determined smirk.
“Absorption and Release is one of my abilities. As long as you are creating your own black hole, mine will sap its strength away and add it to itself. You used to be one of my favorite heroes Thirteen, but you heroes failed Tomura-kun and my Izu-chan. I won’t let them get hurt by you again!”

-Absorption and Release: Absorb emitter attacks and send them back, but it still takes damage from the initial attack.
-Minor Regeneration: A minor regeneration quirk, this allows her to heal from the damage her absorption takes. That is chapter one finished. I plan on releasing a chapter every two weeks instead of my normal three week schedule. The next chapter is done already and I just need to go through my final edits of it.
Also, the heroes are OCs but the villains(minus the one who died) are 100% canon. I did not know they had names until I started researching for this story but they are definitely names. I will forever regret that I had to edit out the joke about the greatest villain name of all time, Victor, due to flow issues. Seriously, one villain thought that he could strike fear in the hearts of everyone with the name Victor. I laugh every time I think about it.
Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed the chapter.

Chapter Text
Ochako Uraraka wasn’t having a good day. First, she had to spend the night in a seedy motel where she was pretty sure that the person claiming to be a hero next door had been eyeing her up last night. Then she learned that despite the sign saying otherwise, said motel did not have a free breakfast so Ochako had to spend what little money she could spare on the ¥100 menu at Boss Burger for breakfast since it was cheaper than all the other options she saw.
She had nothing to break up her train of thought when she arrived at UA so she ended up panicking her way through the Entrance Exam’s written portion and while she was sure she did well, she didn’t think she did amazing. She probably could have done better but she wasn’t that confident after the long walk in silence to get there. Maybe if she had talked with someone at the front gates, she could have eased her nerves a bit but the only one who came close to interacting with her was that rude blonde who shouldered past her. Finally, when it was time for the physical portion of the test, she had gathered a decent score, but she was sure it wouldn’t be enough.
Then the Zero Pointer had appeared. The massive behemoth of a robot had knocked a large chunk of rubble down on her, knocking her over and pinning her leg. She cried out for help, but no one helped her. The sparkly blonde guy had apparently booked it before she started running. The guy with the bird head had never looked back at her as he ran instead of using that shadow demon thing to get the rubble off her. Even the glasses guy who seemed to preach about rules and fairness had taken one look at her before running himself. She felt the despair of being left behind and the pain as more rubble fell on her, breaking her leg and hitting her head. Fortunately, the Zero-Pointer stopped just short of her but the pressure it put on the rubble caused her to break her ankle and fracture her other leg.
The school nurse, a retired hero named Recovery Girl, had to get another hero named Power Loader to remove the rubble before they rushed Ochako to the nurse’s office where she, still in pain, had to wait for Recovery Girl to set her broken bones before kissing her to heal her. It had worked for the most part but her legs were wrapped in bandages and she was given crutches. Thankfully said crutches were free as an apology for the test going that far, but they still sent her home exhausted since the healing quirk took her stamina. So, there she was with crutches, starving since she hadn’t eaten since that morning, and practically falling asleep while on the train to her motel.
Something unexpected happened though.
Ochako had been expecting nothing but creeps and office workers to be on the train at this hour but then the door opened and the most beautiful girl Ochako had ever seen entered the train with several bags of food in her hand. She had green hair pulled into a bun with her bangs parting to frame her face, ending in little curls. Her sparkling green eyes drew in Ochako, along with those cute diamond freckles on her face. She wore an elegant maid outfit which was a simple black dress with a plain white apron, though she did have a set of frills on her shoulder seams, and she had a green cloth belt that held up the apron, a green bow mounted in the center of her chest, and a green choker around her neck, all matching her silky hair. Ochako didn’t know this, but she would have a similar maid outfit in the future, only with more frills and a slightly shorter dress. The young woman smiled at her.
“Greetings miss. Are you alright?”
“Uah?” Ochako smartly replied before blushing. “Ah sorry. Yes. Just really tired.”
“I see. Today were the UA entrance exams, were they not? I assume you were taking them?”
Ochako nodded.
“Yeah. That’s how I got these.”
She said, gesturing to her injured legs. The girl in front of her frowned.
“Shouldn’t their staff have healed that for you?”
“They did.” Ochako grumbled. “It was worse before.”
The maid’s eyes widened.
“Oh dear. That’s terrible! Would you like to talk about what happened?”
Tired and needing to vent, Ochako started to tell her. She wasn’t sure how much she got out before she fell asleep. As she slept, she was vaguely aware of a comforting presence sitting next to her, and someone princess carrying her as she snuggled up to them.
-:-
Ochako awoke with a start, realizing that she probably missed her stop. She then looked around in confusion, noticing that she was in someone else’s room. She was on a comfortable bed with green sheets and a black blanket over the top. There was a maid calendar on the wall, a computer on the table nearby, and also a large punching bag with a well-worn picture of All Might’s face on it.
Trying to remember what happened yesterday, Ochako went to move, only to wince at her still tender legs. It all came back to her as she remembered the exams, being abandoned by her fellow examinees, and the painful healing. Then she met and talked with that beautiful maid and now she found herself here. Was this the maid’s home?
As if to answer the question, the door to the room cracked open and the maid peaked in. She smiled at the sight of Ochako and the brunette’s breath was taken away once more by her beauty. Ochako briefly remembered a classmate talking about things called awakenings, but the blushing girl forced it out of her head.
“I see you are awake.” The maid said, stepping into the room and closing the door behind her. She bowed to Ochako, who definitely did not stare at the girl’s chest which was highlight by the white cloth in the sea of black. “I apologize for being so bold as to take you to my home, but you fell asleep and I didn’t know what your stop was. You may call me Izumi Alpha.”
“Ah. It’s alright. I’m sorry you had to help carry me. I hope I wasn’t too much of an inconvenience. My name is Ochako Uraraka.”
The maid smiled and Ochako’s heart did a flip again.
“It was no inconvenience Uraraka-san. I was able to easily carry both you and my groceries. Don’t worry, you are quite light.”
Ochako knew that wasn’t true. She was definitely one of the heavier girls in her class, but she assumed the maid was just trying to make her feel better.
“Now, you must be hungry. I’ll bring up some food in about twenty minutes. There is a bathroom across the hall for you to freshen up in. Then I ask that you return so I can bring you your breakfast. After you eat, I will change your bandages and then I can take you to where you were staying.”
Ochako really wanted to say yes to that. Being pampered by a maid? That was only something rich heiresses of unmentionable beauty would experience.
Elsewhere in Japan, said raven haired beauty sneezed.
Unfortunately, there was no way Ochako could pay for it. She barely had any money to return home with, let alone for the luxury treatment of a maid this pretty.
“Sorry but I don’t have a lot of money on me to pay for it.” Ochako forced a smile. “Besides, I’m not that hungry anyway.”
Her stomach immediately betrayed her by demonstrating a whale’s mating call. Izumi gave an amused smile.
“Don’t worry Uraraka-san. You don’t have to pay for it. This is something I am doing because I enjoy it. Now, I’ll be back in about twenty minutes.”
Izumi bowed to the tomato-faced Ochako again before leaving. True to her word, after Ochako washed her hands and face in the bathroom across the hall, the green haired beauty returned to the room carrying a tray with a glass of orange juice and a plate with omurice on it, bringing it over to Ochako who was on the bed again.
“Here you go. I will be sitting at my desk should you need anything. Please do not hesitate to ask me.”
She said, sitting down at the desk and taking out what seemed to be homework. Ochako looked down at her plate and blushed as she realized, written in ketchup on the omurice, was “Dekiru” with a heart next to it. It was a well-made piece of art and Ochako didn’t want to ruin it, but her stomach growling at the amazing scent of food forced her to take a bite. Ochako was immediately sent to heaven as she enjoyed the flavor of the food.
“I want to marry her.”
Ochako unconsciously muttered as she quickly enjoyed another bite, savoring the taste. She didn’t even realize she spoke but the maid at the desk heard, and a slight shade of pink crossed her face as she smiled bashfully to herself. Ochako was disappointed when she finished but at the same time, her stomach was more full than it had ever been in the past twenty-four hours.
“That was delicious!”
Ochako complimented. Izumi stood up and took the tray, placing it to the side.
“Thank you. The orange juice was freshly squeezed this morning and the omurice is one of my specialties here. Tomura-kun can’t get enough of them it seems.” She said in amusement. Tomura must have been her master, though the informality confused Ochako. “Now, I will change your bandages out and you can fill me in on what happened yesterday. You told me about how you arrived in Mustafa and the start of your exam, but you fell asleep muttering something about robots.”
Ochako’s expression soured again but she couldn’t keep that expression when she felt the gentle touch of the green haired beauty on her legs as she took off the bandages. Ochako told her about everything that happened after the start of the physical exam. Izumi frowned as she heard of Ochako’s injuries, both at how she had been abandoned and how the heroes handled her recovery.
“And they just let you go on a train, knowing anyone could take advantage of you there?” She asked bitterly. “It’s a good thing I showed up. It’s incompetence like that which makes me dislike heroes.”
Ochako took that in in silence. Not many people were brave enough to admit to not liking heroes but considering the two she met personally yesterday, Ochako had to agree that she was at least a little annoyed at them.
“Is that why your punching bag has All Might’s face on it?”
Izumi sent an amused look at said punching bag before going back to working on Ochako’s legs, her expression returning to a light frown.
“Indeed Uraraka-san. You see, I only recently received a quirk a few months ago. Before that, I was quirkless. My classmates abused me, and my teachers neglected me at best, and the heroes did nothing to help me. Like your fellow examinees, they abandoned me. Worst of all was All Might. He had just saved me from a villain attack and I asked if a girl like myself could become a hero, despite being quirkless. He told me to think realistically and left me on a roof. Well, realistically, my ex-childhood friend told me that if I wanted to get a quirk, I should pray for one in my next life and take a swan dive off the roof. I figured, when in Rome…”
Ochako gasped at the girl’s implications. Izumi looked up, smiling at Ochako as she replaced the bandages, her graceful fingers ghosting over her skin, sending shivers up Ochako’s spine.
“Ironically, he was correct, just not in the way he meant. I accidentally landed on Tomura-kun and he took me in to be his maid. A month later, I got a quirk and was living a happier life than I had ever been before.”
Ochako wanted to meet this gentleman who took in the girl. If he hadn’t, she never would have been able to witness that beautiful smile or her features that put professional sculptures and paintings to shame, or experience her graceful and gentle touch, or hear her melodic voice.
“Whoever he is, Tomura-san must be incredible.”
Ochako said causing Izumi to laugh lightly.
“He is in his own right.”
Izumi said, thinking of the man-child who was currently planted face first in his bed, having stayed up all night playing video games yet again. That was something Ochako would learn in time.
“Anyway, that’s why I’m not too fond of heroes. I finished changing your bandages. Are you ready for me to take you to where you were staying?”
She asked. Again, Ochako felt conflicted.
“Won’t you get in trouble with Tomura-san if you leave?”
Izumi smiled and shook her head.
“No. He’ll be fine. Kurogiri and our other maid can watch over things while I’m gone. He’s the butler here.”
“Oh?” Ochako looked at her curiously as she stood up, accepting the crutches that Izumi handed her. “If you do all the cooking, what does he do?”
“He buttles.”
Izumi said with a giggle that Ochako returned.
“In all seriousness though, he usually handles the downstairs while I handle the living quarters. Our other maid assists in both areas and also handles the sewing. There aren’t many of us here right now, so it works out well enough for me to attend online school. Even if I am no longer quirkless, I’d still rather not return to that place.”
Ochako nodded. She understood. She had been the subject of bullying a few times due to her family being poor as well as how she was a little bit chubby. The two arrived downstairs to a bar-like area where a man in a fancy outfit with a body of black mist stood wiping the counter.
“Kurogiri, would you be a dear and warp us to the train station? Our guest is still a little sore from yesterday.”
The man looked at them.
“Ah yes. You must be miss Uraraka. I will have Beta collect your dishes. I wish you a safe trip back.” He said and held out an arm, the mist expanding nearby into a portal. “Ah, and Alpha, if you would be so kind as to pick up some more cleaning supplies while you are out, we are having some important guests tomorrow and I’d rather be prepared in case anything goes wrong.”
“Of course, Kurogiri. I’ll pick them up after I see Uraraka-san safe.”
Izumi smiled before guiding Ochako into the portal. Ochako blinked in amazement as she found herself and Izumi in the alleyway next to a train station. Little did she know, her crazy day was only just beginning.
-:-
Izumi glowered at the seedy man at the front desk. Ochako didn’t want to admit it out loud, but she found the maid both very scary and very attractive right now.
The two had traveled by train back to Ochako’s motel and had talked about several things. Ochako told Izumi about her parents struggling construction company which Izumi expressed sympathy for and about her quirk which triggered a new spark in the maid’s eyes. In exchange, Izumi had told her a bit about the other maid whom she referred to as Beta, which seemed like a very excitable cat-like girl whom she had rescued from an alleyway a few months back. Izumi also told Ochako a bit about the local area, pointing out different things to do at different stops. Ochako had been especially interested in the place that the maid told her made excellent mochi for cheap. By the end of the trip, if she hadn’t already, Ochako could consider Izumi a friend.
They arrived at Ochako’s stop and had quickly gotten to the motel as she explained to the maid that she was planning on taking the train back home today. She went to go to use her key card on the door only for it to not open. The brunette frowned and tried again but it didn’t work.
“What’s wrong with this? This is definitely my room and checkout isn’t for another hour.”
“Perhaps the card is damaged or something? We should go to the front desk and ask.”
Ochako nodded and the two went down to the clerk. She recognized him as the man who had checked her in yesterday.
“Excuse me sir.” She said. “My key card doesn’t seem to work.”
The man looked up at her and grinned a yellow smile.
“Ah yes. You missed the checkout time so I got the pro hero staying next to you to remove your stuff and bring it to the front desk. If you want it back, you’ll either need to pay for another night or pay a fee.”
Ochako’s eyes widened as she remembered the creepy hero next door. She really hoped it wasn’t him who went through her stuff.
“But sir, Checkout time isn’t till another hour.”
“I think I’d know when checkout is miss. Now, how would you like to pay.”
The man said, sending her a sleezy smile.
Izumi stepped forward.
“Excuse me sir, but your sign here clearly says that checkout isn’t until another hour.”
“Oh. I guess I need to change the sign then. My mistake.”
He said carelessly.
“This is terrible service. If your sign says something, your guest shouldn’t be held accountable for the misinformation.”
“Sorry miss but those are the rules.” He said before looking her over. “Though if you want, I can arrange an alternative form of payment.”
He said with a sleezy grin. Izumi glared down at him leading to Ochako’s current thoughts on the matter. Seemingly coming to a decision, the maid sighed.
“Uraraka-san. I’m going to talk with this man in private and arrange for him to bring you your luggage. I will be back soon.”
“W-wait! You don’t have to! I can just get more stuff later.”
Ochako said, the thought of that man sullying her beautiful friends with his greasy hands making her sick to the stomach. Izumi sent her a kind smile.
“Don’t worry. I know you cannot afford to many new things right now. Please, just trust me.”
Ochako trembled as she nodded her head and the man grinned at her.
“Now that’s what I’m talking about. Follow me.”
He said, walking to a back room, the beautiful maid walking behind him. They were barely gone for a minute when the sound of metal being bent filled the room, causing Ochako to jump. A moment later, a satisfied looking Izumi stepped out, her uniform not wrinkled in the slightest as she came back.
“I corrected the misunderstanding as a fellow member of the service industry.” She explained with a smile. “He will be returning with your things shortly.”
Ochako’s expression lit up as she ran over to hug her friend, only to wince as her legs were still very sore. Izumi gently smiled at her and went over so a blushing Ochako could complete the hug. A few minutes later, the man returned, a very nervous expression on his face as he brought Ochako’s suitcase and travel bag.
“Here is everything the pro took. I checked the room after and he left nothing behind.”
“It is best to check to be sure, Uraraka-san.”
Izumi stated. Ochako nodded and checked her travel bag first before moving on to the suitcase. She quickly shuffled through all of her things before double checking. Her faced turned flush, yet at the same time pale.
“A-Alpha-san?”
“Yes Uraraka-san?”
“I can’t find my underwear.”
The glowering green eyes were once again turned to the front desk man who held his up.
“Hey hey! I told you that I sent a pro-hero in there! If he misplaced something maybe you can ask him when he goes out to patrol.”
“I see.” Izumi stated. “And what is this hero’s name, if you don’t mind me asking?”
“Oh! Uuuuh. He’s called The Royal Hero: Purpleman, I believe.”
“He was the one eyeing me up yesterday?”
Ochako said, feeling very violated now. Izumi frowned.
“Shimoneta Mineta. I am familiar.” She turned towards Ochako. “Sorry Uraraka-san, but it seems we won’t be able to get all your things today after all. Let us get you to your train so you may get home at a reasonable hour.”
As Izumi spoke, Ochako could hear the cold fury towards that pro hero. Ochako spent the rest of the trip in nervous silence as the green haired beauty carried Ochako’s stuff with her as the brunette followed. They eventually arrived at the train station. The beautiful girl bowed to her again.
“Sorry that we weren’t able to get everything again Uraraka-san. Purpleman is rumored to be a secret pervert.”
“Ochako.”
“Excuse me?”
“We’re friends now, right? So you can call me Ochako, Alpha-san.”
Izumi blinked before a bright smile spread on her face.
“Alright then, but only if you call me Izumi in return, okay? If it’s alright, let’s exchange numbers.”
Ochako could only smile and nod as she exchanged numbers with the most beautiful woman in the city, if not the country, or even the world. As she waved goodbye while on her train home, Ochako felt content despite all the bad that happened.
She wouldn’t find out till much later that Purpleman vanished while on patrol that night, leaving nothing but dust behind, never learning that his nephew made it into UA.
-:-
Ochako kept in contact with Izumi through the rest of the week. She had told her parents about the girl who in turn teased her about developing a crush. It had been very embarrassing, especially when her parents sat her down and told her that no matter who she liked, they would love her no matter what. At least talking with Izumi through texts or phone calls helped ease her mind. Finally, the day had arrived where she received her reply from UA. She texted Izumi who had been adamant about wanting to be there for her when she opened it. The maid told her that she would be there soon and Ochako waited.
It had only been about half an hour when there was a knock on the door. Ochako stood up and rushed over to check, almost running into her mother who had been walking over.
“Oh dear, quite excited, aren’t you? What’s got you in a rush?”
She asked and Ochako blushed.
“W-well, I’m expecting Izumi-san over since she wanted to be here when I opened my acceptance letter.”
Her mother laughed.
“It’s adorable that you want to see Izumi-san that bad but she works over in Yokohama, right? It would take much longer for her to get here by train.”
Ochako knew she was right, but still it she was excited. Ochako’s mother opened the door.
“Hello. How may I help you…”
The older woman trailed off. Standing in front of her was Izumi. The gorgeous young woman dressed in the same maid outfit that Ochako had met her in, the dress still in perfect condition. Her silky green hair was pulled into the same bun as well, and her curly hair was still visible from the bangs lining her face. She was just as beautiful as Ochako remembered her. The maid bowed.
“Greetings. You must be Ochako-san’s mother. I am Izumi Alpha. It is a pleasure to meet you.”
“R-right. Please come on in. My name is Reiko Uraraka. It’s nice to meet the girl that my Ochako talks so much about.”
She said opening the door.
“Only pleasant things, I hope. Good afternoon Ochako-san. It is a pleasure to see you again.”
Izumi said, stepping in.
“H-hello!”
Ochako stuttered.
“Of course. She had nothing but good things to say.”
Ochako’s mother said with a strained smile. As if to add to her embarrassment, her father arrived.
“Hey honey. Who’s at the door…”
He started before trailing off. Izumi smiled and bowed to him to.
“Greetings. You must be Ochako-san’s father. I am Izumi Alpha. It is a pleasure to meet you.”
“R-right. My name is Shuhei Uraraka. It’s nice to meet my baby girl’s friend.”
“Ochako, do you mind if we talk to you for a moment?”
Ochako’s mother called as she and her father moved a small distance away. Curious, Ochako moved with them, and the family moved into a huddle.
“You weren’t exaggerating when you told us how beautiful she was!”
Her mother whispered, sounding freaked out.
“I told you I wasn’t!”
Ochako responded.
“We thought you were just enamored with your first crush!”
“She is right there, Dad!”
“We’re whispering she can’t hear us! But seriously, how did you befriend someone so obviously high class like her?”
“I don’t know! It just happened!”
“Is everything alright over there?”
Izumi called over.
“Everything’s fine!”
The Urarakas said at once before returning to the huddle.
“How did she even get here so fast? What’s her quirk?”
Her dad asked.
“I-I don’t know. She never told me her quirk, just that she didn’t have one till recently. One of the butlers who works with her has a portal quirk though. Maybe he created a portal near here?”
“A portal quirk? Do you know how rare those are? Not even the Yaoyorozus have one in their employment!”
“What am I even going to make for dinner? Nothing I make will be good enough for someone that high class!”
Her mother asked, freaking out.
“W-well she makes omurice every day for her master so she’s probably fine with most stuff. She did say she wished that he let her make katsudon more often.”
“R-right. I’ll see what we have.”
“Take care of her, alright honey?”
Her parents said to her before ending the huddle, leaving a red-face Ochako behind.
“Alright. You have fun you two. Let us know if you need anything.”
Her mother said. Her father smiled at them as well.
“Yes. Let us know when you find out you got into the hero course!”
Ochako nodded as the two left.
“You have very supportive parents.”
“Huh?”
Ochako responded intelligently to the maid’s comment, getting shaken from the embarrassment of the conversation she just had with her parents.
“They said when, not if. They clearly believe in your dream, unlike my own mother. Your parents are good people.”
Ochako smiled.
“Yeah. They’re the best.”
They two paused in silence for a moment.
“Shall we see your acceptance letter now?”
Ochako’s eyes widened.
“Yeah! Follow me!”
She said, leading the taller girl into her room. It was small, just like Izumi’s though a bit more populated, a TV that her parents got at a yard sale sitting on a nearby wire table and a simple tea table in the room being some of the things she had that the maid didn’t. Of course, there was the star charts and posters of the Space Hero: Thirteen, Ochako’s favorite hero.
Closing the door behind them, Ochako ran over to her desk and picked up an envelope. She looked at Izumi who smiled at her encouragingly and Ochako felt her heart flutter before she tore open the envelope and slid out… a puck?
Ochako probably looked just as confused as she felt, and Izumi regarded it with curiosity. Suddenly, a hologram appeared.
"Ochako Uraraka. I hope you are doing well."
It was Thirteen! Her favorite hero was on the screen.
"My name is the Space Hero: Thirteen, and I'm here to deliver you your scores as a teacher at UA! Your written test was average. It did not quite stand out, but it was acceptable. As for the practical test, you ended up with Twenty-Eight villain points. It was an impressive number and has potential. Unfortunately, you did not do well enough to be accepted in our hero course, having ranked 41st in our exam. This year had one of our strongest group of applicants yet and you were so close. If you had gotten one more villain, or had you gained the opportunity to achieve rescue points and you would have been able to get through. Please do not be discouraged by this. Should you apply to our General Education program, you will have the opportunity to get into the hero course should you do well enough at the Sports Festival. We hope to hear back from you in General Studies! Plus Ultra! Oh, before this ends, a box will show up shortly with postage already on it. Please use this to return the crutches that Recovery Girl lent you.”
Ochako stood there, staring as the hologram shut off. She didn’t make it. Her favorite hero just told her she didn’t make it. Her favorite hero practically told her that if she hadn’t been abandoned by her fellow hero candidates, she would have gotten in. She was abandoned though. Then she was sent to the hospital because they couldn’t stop their stupid robot in time, then sent her away exhausted on some shady train. On top of that, they just tacked on a “Hey, by the way, can we have our crutches back?”
They told her that she could transfer in from General Education if she did well at the Sports Festival but that was a huge “if”. She would be going up against her fellow classmates and against hero students who would have had plenty of time to train their quirks even more. Ochako’s dreams of being able to support her parents were slipping fast.
A pair of arms wrapped around her and Ochako latched on to the soft figure of Izumi and sobbed into her shoulder. The taller girl gently rubbed her back. It took a while, and she didn’t even realize that Izumi had guided them over to her bed. She began to realize how safe and warm Izumi’s hug felt. Eventually she looked into the worried green eyes of the girl.
“Is this what it felt like? When All Might told you that you couldn’t be a hero?”
“Yes. It felt something like this.”
She said as she comforted Ochako. The two sat in silence, Izumi rubbing Ochako’s back and the girl burying her face in the maid’s shoulder. The two were quiet for a while before Izumi spoke again.
“Ochako… There are a few things I never told you about my job, but first, would you be interested in becoming a maid with me?”
-:-
Ochako stared down at her phone. Izumi was a villain. In hindsight, the name Izumi Alpha sounded like a code name anyway, though Izumi did assure her that Izumi was her real name. Her boss was just terrible at naming things, but she accepted it just to annoy her dad. It did make the untouchable green haired goddess seem a bit more human. Still, the open invitation had surprised the brunette.
“The heroes don’t deserve you.”
Izumi had told her. The more Ochako thought about it, the more she believed the maid. Hero candidates had abandoned her, but Izumi stayed by her side, even when she didn’t need to, like when she stood up to that motel clerk. The heroes left her in pain while Izumi fed her and made sure she had been looked after, even giving Ochako her own bed. The heroes sent her to a train, practically asleep walking, leaving her to her own devices while Izumi had carried her to a safe place by herself. Her favorite hero crushed her dreams of providing a better life for her family. Even if they were doing their job, it still hurt. Izumi though extended a hand, promising a life where she could provide for her mother and father. One by her side as a battle maid. A life where she could be happy.
Ochako nodded to herself. Her parents supported her decision either way, even if it meant that they wouldn’t be seeing her as much. Would she choose to let the hero school put her against students with far more training than her, forcing her to fight as an underdog for their amusement, or would she choose to be happy alongside Izumi, fighting for the better world that she believed in.
Ochako chose to be happy.
-Present Day-
“By the way, while I’m the boss, I’m not the strongest one here.”
The hand covered villain said as Eraserhead narrowed his eyes underneath his goggles and he started to turn to where he felt danger approach. The maid who had remained in the plaza appeared behind him, a strong right punch connecting to his ribs and sent him crashing to the side. The underground hero winced as he felt his now-broken ribs. That punch was no joke. The maid rushed towards him, rearing up a gauntleted fist and punching towards him again. Eraserhead held up his arms to block but felt the arm that took the brunt of the blow snap. Before he could recover, a third punch broke his femur and a fourth caused his right upper arm to join is broken right forearm.
“Apologies, Eraserhead-san. I actually respect you quite a great deal. Even with your ability to cancel out quirks, you fight practically quirkless and I admired that. Maybe if you had met a young quirkless girl on a roof instead of All Might, she might not have jumped.”
She spoke, causing Aizawa’s eyes to widen, despite the pain, at the implications.
“So rather than kill you, I’ll just have to ask you to retire. The only one we’re after is All Might, though a few of your students have wronged us in the past so we might be looking to rough them up a bit.”
“So cool Izumi Alpha.” Shigaraki said to his lead maid. “What kind of maid lets her master get hit though?”
“One who was waiting for the order to attack but was instead treated the sight of her leader charging in like an idiot, Shigaraki-sama.”
“I thought I could take him.”
“I believe what you thought was something along the lines of ‘Leroy Jenkins’.”
“You can’t prove that.”
Aizawa groaned. These were the people he was losing to? He was starting to feel like those quirk doomsday theorists might not be too wrong. Here was a man-child capable of decaying anything he touched and a teenage maid who looked to be about the age of his students, who’s strength was enough to rival All Might, even when he was using his quirk on her.
The mist-like portal appeared again. One of the maids stepped out and the mist-like villain formed.
“Tomura Shigaraki.”
It greeted.
“Is Thirteen out of the picture?”
The hand villain asked.
"They're incapacitated but there were some students I couldn't warp away and one of them escaped."
“I don’t know how. I had Thirteen handled and had taken down some of their best fighters. How did the tape guy, muscle guy, and animal guy take you down? You are supposed to be one of our more experienced fighters!”
The brunette maid said, annoyed. Eraserhead’s eyes widened with yet another revelation. He remembered her as the one who got injured in the entrance exam. So just because she couldn’t become a hero, she threw her life away to join the villains?”
“Gamma.”
The calm voice of the green haired maid said as she walked over. She held the girl’s hands and placed an affectionate kiss on the brunette’s forehead.
“Breath. Are you alright? Did you find the ones you were seeking?”
The maid, Gamma, seemed to relax.
“Yeah. Sorry. This stuff is just so new to me. I was able to use Sparkles-san’s lasers and another student’s fire to take down Sparkles-san and Raven-san. Both are breathing but Raven-san will definitely need a while to recover. Sparkles-san went down after the first hit and just stayed down crying so I didn’t have the heart to hit him again. Then Kurogiri got tricked by the other students into letting Glasses-san get away before I was able to get to him for abandoning me too.”
Izumi smiled down at the shorter maid and stroked her hair.
“It’s alright. You got two of them and we can take down Glasses-san later. Did anything else happen?”
The maid blushed and looked to the side.
“Well I managed to blast that guy who I think was your Kacchan with his own quirk before he got warped away.”
The green haired maid laughed and Aizawa almost forgot that she had been brutalizing his limbs earlier. She seemed like such a normal girl.
“Grrr. Alright. Alright.” Shigaraki said, interrupting them. “Look, Kurogiri fucked up so here’s what we are going to do. Kurogiri, contact our other maid and have her rush the plan along. It will mean less playing with the brats but if we can create multiple hostage situations then we can at least split the hero party when they come in. Ocharaka Gamma, you’re on standby. Let us know if anything important happens. You’re better support than offense anyway. Izumi Alpha, finish breaking Eraserhead’s limbs and get ready to take the front lines. No doubt, All Might will come charging in first and we need you ready to take him out.”
“Of course, Shigaraki-sama.”
Both maids replied. Aizawa only groaned as he thought of how much this was going to hurt.
“This would be so much easier if our battle maids were willing to kill.”
The hand villain growled.
“It is not a lady’s place to get their hands dirty like that.”
Izumi Alpha replied.
“Oh, but you have no problem asking me to do it when some perv steels your girlfriend’s laundry?”
“Well, when you dusted three people in two days when trying to shake their hands, and then try to pass it off as a power move, I assumed one more wouldn’t make a difference to you.”
She said, moving over to the fallen underground hero. He launched his capture scarf at her, but the maid easily dodged and grabbed his upper and lower left arm. Aizawa cried out in pain as she squeezed her hands, causing those two bones to break as well. The maid let the teacher go, Eraserhead falling limply on the ground.
“I hope the pain has knocked him out now. He won’t be running or using that scarf of his for a while.”
Izumi said, walking towards the center as Shigaraki addressed her.
“Yeah whatever. Do me a favor and bring those brats by the water over… Is she trying to drown one?”
Everyone turned their attention to the three students nearby in the water. One had purple hair, tired eyes, and was wearing a UA track suit, one with long green hair with wide eyes who was wearing a green wetsuit, and the last one was purple, but they couldn’t make out specifics as he was currently being held under by the green one.
Izumi sighed and gracefully walked over, the two students’ eyes widening in fear as she approached, the purple haired boy stepping in front of the girl slightly. Izumi gave them a kind smile. In another life they might have been her classmates after all.
“Do not worry. We have no intention of killing you. As I told your teacher, we are only here to harm All Might and those who have wronged us. No need try to kill your own out of mercy.”
The girl blushed.
“It’s not that, kero.”
She said as the purple boy came up, gasping for air.
“He groped her.”
The other boy filled in. Izumi’s eyes hardened.
“I see. He’s a Mineta, isn’t he?”
Both teens nodded.
“I see. His relative was the one who stole Gamma’s undergarments when she was trying to take the entrance exam. Don’t worry. I will punish him for sufficiently for his own missdeeds.”
She said, grabbing the purple boy’s costume and lifting him up.
“Yes. Punish me mommy.”
The purple boy gasped, not fully aware of the situation due to his near drowning experience. Izumi’s glare at the boy hardened.
“Hold it.” Shigaraki said, walking over. “I want to test something.”
He placed a hand on the purple boy, and nothing happened.
“You really are cool Eraserhead.”
He said, looking back and Izumi’s eyes widened.
“Such amazing pain tolerance. Gamma, be a dear and bind Eraser’s eyes with his own scarf. I’m glad we caught that now before something important was stopped.” The maid said. “Shall I continue?”
The hand covered villain nodded and Izumi pulled a fist back. She lifted the small Mineta into the air before thrusting her fist straight into his crotch, sending him flying towards the entrance. Izumi smiled as the boy slammed into the door, only for the smile to drop when the door slammed open again, a larger figure appearing.
“Never Fear. I am here.”
Izumi stood next to Shigaraki who grinned as they stared up at the figure.
“Finally, he showed up!”
“Oh my. He’s alone?”
The maid said, bringing a hand up to her mouth in surprise.
“Yeah, right? Turns out your analysis was better than I thought! You all! Get ready to intercept!”
Shigaraki ordered a group of nearby villains. They nodded, having been emboldened by watching their boss’s maid manhandle the pro-hero who was kicking their asses earlier. The poor fools never stood a chance.
“Wow they suck.”
Shigaraki said, acknowledging the unconscious villains as All Might stood next to Eraserhead, causing Ocharaka Gamma’s maid dress to flutter. The large hero was dressed in a white shirt and had yellow striped pants. He looked like he had been attending a press conference or other important meeting before he showed up.
“Well that’s to be expected. They were just to handle the children and other heroes afte-“
CLANG!
A few pieces of metal hit the ground and the two students still in the water blinked as one moment, the lead maid had been talking, and the next she was in in front of the hand villain, her guard up, two of the spikes on the green gauntlets covering her forearms having chipped off. The maid pivoted to face them and the two realized that All Might had them under one arm and Aizawa under the other. Suddenly they were at the bottom of the stairs.
“You two. Hurry and take Aizawa. I’ll handle these villains.”
All Might commanded.
“Oh my, All Might. It’s not enough that you crushed my dreams that day, but you chipped my new gauntlets too.” The green haired maid said with a smile as she stepped forward. “You and I both know that you would have shattered them in a blow like that if you were in your prime. Turns out, you weren’t lying about getting weaker at least.”
The man’s eyes widened.
“You!”
The smile widened on Izumi’s face.
“That’s right. Me. I hoped you would remember my face. I have to thank you All Might. You’re the reason I’m here after all.”
The maid said, walking forward as those around stared. Nearby an ash blonde head of hair and red head hid as they observed the scene ready to charge in if needed. In another area, a boy with red and white hair, and another with a brown pompadour with red on the tip got ready to make their move.
“Young miss. I told you to think realistically. Becoming a villain because you couldn’t be a hero is far from being realistic. That is making an irrational decision that could very well ruin your life. Come quietly and we can discuss things. It seems that you aren’t as quirkless as you thought.”
“That’s right All Might. You told me to think realistically that day. A childhood friend of mine told me earlier that if I wanted to be a hero in the next life, I should take a swan dive off the roof. After he burned his handprint into me yet again, I realized that you both were right. So, thinking realistically, I jumped off that very tall building you left me on after you, oh so kindly, shattered my dreams of being a hero right in front of me. Turns out, he was right.”
She said, causing most listening to freeze up. Shinso and Tsuyu gasped from next to Aizawa who’s mind was racing, thinking back at what she said about some students wronging her. Behind the rock where they had been planning their charge, Bakugou paled and Kirishima’s eyes widened in horror at the idea. In their hiding spot, Todoroki was also surprised at the shocking revelation, having heard the backstory of someone who might understand his own at least a little. Kurogiri bowed his head lightly, knowing the details already while Ocharaka’s eyes teared up slightly. No matter how many times she heard it, she hated the idea of the girl she loved having tried to kill herself in the past. Unlike the others, Shigaraki smirked. He knew Izumi didn’t want sympathy anymore. She wanted revenge, and that was a song he could dance to. The last hidden figure narrowed his eyes at the maid’s admitted weakness. All Might himself stayed silent as the maid continued.
“If you had said anything else that day, things might not have ended this way. If you had told me that it would be nearly impossible and I had to work harder than anyone, I would have done just that. If you had told me told me anything that I could cling to, I would have been fine, but no. You told the girl whose body had been abused since childhood by quirked people that she should just give up like those who tormented her said. Guess what though? When you didn’t extend a hand, Shigaraki-sama did. He saved me after I jumped and offered me a home to thrive in.”
All Might’s eyes grit his teeth as he was told just how badly he failed this girl.
“Be that as it may, I still cannot let you continue this path. I will talk with Nezu about righting my wrongs but for now I must stop you.”
He said before flashing forward, aiming a chop at the maid’s neck to knock her out. He felt the blow connect and moved to catch her, only to grunt out in pain as her fist connected to his old wound. All Might felt a trickle of blood come from his mouth.
“How? You didn’t even flinch?”
“One of my quirks is shock absorption, All Might. I don’t care about being a hero anymore. I am happy now. I have the power to defend myself. I reunited with my father. I found a family who supports me. I have two wonderful girlfriends. I have found my place in life. Now, let me help you find yours in retirement!”
She called, hopping back and punching at him. All Might blocked the blow and launched a counter one of his own, only for a mass of shadow to rise up. All Might couldn’t stop himself as he went through it, causing him to come out of a different location, his wounded side facing Izumi who launched another punch. The mighty blow connected causing All Might to cough up more blood. Her strikes were scarily accurate. He looked up at her again, only for the two to become more surprised.
Covering her right arm and leg was a block of solid ice. The two looked back to see two teens. One was dressed in a white suit and looked like half his body was covered in ice. Half his hair was red and half was white. Trailing from his feet was a trail of ice that froze Izumi’s arm and leg. Next to him was a boy who had brown hair in a pompadour which ended in a red tip that spiked out into the brown that was the rest of his hair which reminded everyone of a volcano. He wore a stereotypical delinquent/yakuza outfit with Kanji for volcano written on the back of his overcoat.
Shoto Todoroki and Kazan Kazuya stood ready for a fight, the volcano boy’s hair tip starting to glow red as a fireball started to generate. Ocharaka Gamma and Kurogiri moved to intercept, but a series of explosions caught their attention as the ash blonde hair of Bakugou made its appearance with his large grenade gauntlets, his hand connecting with the metal brace of Kurogiri.
“Shitty hair! Take Round Face and don’t let her touch you this time!”
“Right!”
Kirishima said, the shirtless teen charging the brunette maid, launching a hardened punch at the girl who started to dodge. Izumi sighed as she looked at the teen who froze her.
“You. I recognize you your father’s interviews. You are Endeavor’s son, aren’t you? I can definitely feel it from the way you froze me to the bone.”
The boy clenched his teeth.
“Give up and I will thaw you out. You can get help here.”
“Sorry Ice-san, but I don’t think you have as good of control as you think. Anyone other than me would probably be in a bad way, even if they surrendered.”
“Who cares! Shut yer trap villain!” Kazan shouted, the tip of his hair glowing bright red as the fireball glowed with intense heat. “If you ain’t going to surrender, then take this! APOLLO SHOT!”
Before he could fire, a figure landed down, a knife stabbing into the fireball, setting it off prematurely. Kazan cried out as he was covered in the flames of his own creation, the strength of the attack sending them over his body. The figure in front of him wasn’t unscathed though. Her dark wings were singed and her hand, as well as part of her face, blistered something fierce.
“Ow. Mimi. He hurt me. Can I have you blood?”
She whined. Izumi Alpha sighed.
“I suppose it can’t be helped.”
The maid seemed to flex her limbs before both her arm and leg, along with the ice, shattered, leaving flesh red with blood in their place. All the students and All Might watched in horror as she mutilated her body to get free. Then, to their surprise, muscle sprouted from the wounds, bones in the center, forming a new hand and leg. Smooth skin soon covered the limb.
“Come here Beta.”
“Yay!”
The blonde maid in question cheered out as she bounced and ran over, sinking a pair of fangs into Izumi’s extended arm.
“Also, remember to call me Izumi Alpha on missions. Maids need to be professionals after all.”
Those gathered watched the blonde feed, her injuries clearing away quickly. She finally broke off and pouted.
“Awe, but Mimi and Ochan sound so much cuter than the names that Shiggy came up with.”
“Hey! I make awesome names!”
The hand villain protested as those in the area got a good view of the final maid. She had blonde hair tied up in messy buns, golden catlike eyes, and a pale skin. She wore what seemed more like an interpretation of a maid outfit, her black dress having a large slit in it revealing her stocking on her leg. She wore a black corset that moved up into black puffy sleeves, revealing her white undershirt that outlined her bust. Unlike the other maids, her sleeves were short and instead she wore black fingerless gloves, though the hand of one of was burned off from the strike on Kazan. He had a pair of black leathery wings which disappeared behind her back as soon as they were healed and her glistening fangs reminded everyone of a vampire.
“Hiya everyone. I’m Himitoga Beta.” She greeted cheerfully, her hands extending as a pair of knives appeared in them. “I’d like to try your blood.”
Notes:
Next Chapter: Beta
Character Profiles:
Himiko Toga aka Himitoga Beta
Quirks:
-Blood Transformation: Same as in canon. Thanks to her relationship with Ochako and Izumi though, she has plenty of blood to transform into them.
-Wings: A pair of wings that can form from her back which allows her to fly.
-Body Enhancement: While nothing notable, Himiko's body is enhanced to be more sturdy than that of most others.
-Vitality Stealing: By drinking blood from others, Himiko can heal wounds on her body. The amount of blood she needs is proportional to the wounds. Thankfully, the two people who love her the most have regeneration quirks.Kazan Kazuya
Quirk:
Eruption: It allows him to launch a ball of fire from his body. Unfortunately, he still feels the heat, however he did learn to be able to channel it through his hair so it didn’t burn his skin if he accidentally made it too big or too hotNote: Kazan Kazuya is a minor OC I created for another fic. He pretty much plays the similar role of douche who gets his ass kicked in that one too. I basically needed someone useless to demonstrate one of Toga’s quirks who no one would care about getting hurt. If this fic gets a sequel, he would have dropped out since he served his purpose. Also, he admires Endeavor.
Speaking of which, the identity of Beta has been revealed! Now you all know why I never really described her appearance as nearly any descriptors would have given her identity away. That said, pretty sure most of you already guessed it was her but still. Also, you get to see why Izumi and Tomura hunted down Purpleman here, so that was fun.
Anyway, one more chapter left. I hope you all liked this one and see you all next time for the finale!
Chapter 3: Beta

Chapter Text
Himiko Toga wasn’t having a good day. She had been living out on the streets for a while now after accidentally attacking one of her classmates. Her parents had always called her a monster due to her quirk which required her to drink blood. She did her best to resist the urge to drink blood of course. Her parents made sure she was punished if she tried to get any so she did her best to put up a front, but then she snapped one day and everything changed. She had to vanish which is how she ended up becoming homeless. On good days she could rob clinics for blood and sleep in vacationer’s houses, but that was only when she was lucky. Most of the time she had to sleep in warehouses and at her worst moments, try to find a warm place in an alleyway. She also was forced to attack people for blood. She hated it. When she tried asking for it, everyone just called her a freak and those that recognize her called the police and heroes on her, so she was forced to learn stealth and escapism quickly.
She hadn’t killed anyone yet, but she came close today. Her last attempt before this had been three days ago. She had started to go blood starved and knew that if she didn’t feed soon, she would start to lose control over herself like with Saito a year ago. She thought she had lucked out finding the guy in an alleyway and in her defense, she thought he was dying anyway with the burn scars on most of his body. Under that assumption, she went to try and bite him only for him to create a bunch of blue fire out of nowhere so that plan was a bust. Then there was that blonde guy who could create a barrier when she tried to ambush him and to make matters worse, what she thought was a hobo had seen her and he ended up being a pro hero. He almost caught her if she hadn’t transformed into a previous victim to hide in the crowd. So now she was three days past her blood starvation point, her school uniform was singed and dirty which sucked since it was her only clothing she had at the moment, and she had to stop herself from rushing out of an alleyway to attack a little froglike girl who had been walking home from school.
To make matters worse, it had started to rain and she had no shelter to go to tonight. Maybe she would follow some drunk guy home from the bar and feed on him, but if she did that, not only would it make her feel woozy from his alcoholic blood, but she was afraid she wouldn’t stop. Could she really take that plunge? Would she even have a choice? The blonde girl curled up on herself, shivering slightly in the rain in thought. She was so deep in thought that she didn’t hear the footsteps coming up to her until she felt the rain stop hitting her.
“Are you alright miss?”
Came a beautiful voice.
Himiko looked up to see a young woman looking down at her. Her green eyes shined with concern and her soft lips were currently tugging in a worried frown. She did take note of her cute diamond freckles on her cheeks and her silky green hair, which was tied into an elegant bun, though the young woman did allow some of her hair to frame her face which ended in curls. The next thing Himiko noticed was her outfit. She wore an elegant maid uniform which was a simple black dress with a plain white apron, though she did have a set of frills on her shoulder seams. She had a green cloth belt that held up the apron, a green bow mounted in the center of her chest, and a green choker around her neck, all matching the color of her silky hair.
She was very beautiful, but the worried expression on her face made her look even cuter. A mental image of her covered in blood flashed in Himiko’s mind and she looked down. This young woman showed her concern and her body immediately wanted to feed.
“Go away.” She said, lowering her head into her arms again. “If you don’t leave, I might accidentally attack you.”
The girl did not leave though.
“Why would you do that?”
She asked, a curious tone in her voice as she crouched down in front of Himiko. Himiko felt the urge to lunge at her rise.
“Blood.”
Was all she managed to choke out.
“Ah. You need blood? From a quirk I assume, unless you are a vampire… I wouldn’t think they are real, but you never know. Are you one?”
The girl shook her head.
“Blood quirk.”
Himiko said, muffled. In another situation, she may have laughed at the absurdity of the comment, but now, she could only feel the need for blood, and panic rising. The girl in front of her hummed. Himiko heard the rustling of clothing and looked up to find the maid’s bare arm held out for her, the sleeve rolled up.
“You may have some of my blood then. I should be fine. I have a regeneration quirk. I’m not sure the limits yet. It only came in a month ago, but I should be fine.”
She said. Himiko paused as she stared longingly at the offered arm.
“Really?”
She asked quietly. She hungered, but no one had ever offered it like this before. The maid gave a kind smile.
“Really.”
That was all it took for Himiko as she grabbed the arm and bit into it. Warm liquid filled her mouth as she drank the blood. It tasted better than any she had before, the flavor sweet and rich, but at the same time it had some kind of comfort to it. Was this how all offered blood tasted or was it just this girl’s blood? Himiko opened her eyes to see the maid giving her a kind smile, not bothered by her fangs as she held the umbrella over them both.
It took a few minutes, but Himiko eventually got her fill. She let go and pulled back, having drunken enough. As she closed her eyes, feeling her quirk, she realized that she may have taken more than she had to. Himiko felt a bit guilty about that. This kind woman offered her blood and she took more than she needed.
“Are you done? Did you get enough?”
The maid asked, Himiko’s eyes shooting open as she looked up at the maid. The same worried expression crossed her face. Not only had she offered blood, but was concerned that she wasn’t getting enough? Himiko couldn’t believe her ears. She must have misheard the girl.
“I’m sorry. What did you say?”
“I asked if you got enough. You can get more if you need to. Look, I’m already healed from your bite.”
She said, showing her arm which, while it did have trace amounts of blood on it, did not have any puncture wounds. Himiko stared in amazement for a moment before blushing.
“Ah. I’m fine. Thank you.”
The young woman smiled.
“You’re welcome. I was just glad to help. My name is Izumi Alpha. What’s yours?”
“Himiko Toga.”
Himiko hoped that this Izumi girl hadn’t heard of her before.
“I see. Then Toga-san, am I correct in assuming you have no place to stay?”
Himiko paused and nodded.
“Then how would you like to stay with me? We have plenty of room.”
“I don’t want to be a burden.”
“Nonsense. You need help to land on your feet. What kind of person would I be if I were to leave you here in the rain?”
Himiko looked up hesitantly. The woman had a genuine smile on her face. The blonde could sense no malice coming from her. It confused her. Why did this girl, Izumi, want to help her? She was some wet homeless girl in a dirty school uniform with a villainous quirk. Why was she being so nice to her?
Why was she extending a hand out to her when no one else ever did?
-:-
It’s not that Himiko didn’t trust Izumi. The maid, while a little jumpy, was nothing but kind to her and Himiko’s survival instincts never triggered once. It was just that this all seemed like it was a dream. Like it was all too good to be true. There was no way someone as kind as Izumi existed without some kind of baggage.
So Himiko took what she learned from the streets and crept out of the room Izumi had prepared for her. As she got near the bar, she heard two people talking. One was Izumi, and the other, a male voice that sounded kind of raspy.
“-said you could even bring her here? WHY did you even bring her here? Don’t tell me it was because you were feeling heroic. We’re villains Alpha. You told me your intentions of being a hero died when All Might left you on that roof.”
Himiko’s eyes widened. Villains? She knew it was too good to be true, but how was such a kind person a villain? Also, what was that about All Might?
“What I said was that my intention of being a part of hero society died when you extended your hand to me and All Might didn’t. Besides, she needed help. I couldn’t just leave her there.”
“You could too. Again, we’re villains. Helping her probably put her in more danger.”
“Tomura, she’s Himiko Toga.”
“Yeah, you told me that already. What of it?”
“About a year ago, there was a news story about a girl named Himiko Toga attacking a student in her Junior High School and eyewitnesses reported her drinking his blood through a straw.”
Himiko’s eyes widened. So this girl did know of her? But, if she did, why did she help her? Why was she fighting what Himiko guessed was her master in order to help her?
“Okay, that’s metal as fuck.”
The boy responded and Izumi continued.
“At the time, I didn’t think much on it but after talking to her today, I realized that she has a blood related quirk, and her parents were probably suppressing it because it seemed ‘villainous’ or something.”
The maid practically spat out the word “villainous” like it had personally offended her.
“So, I concluded that she probably had no control over herself at the moment and her family’s neglect gave her no other choice. At least here we can defend her and give her blood when she needs it.”
“Oh yeah? Who’s going to give her blood then? You?”
“Yes. I already did today anyway.”
“Wait, for real? Aren’t you worried about some kind of blood transmitted disease or something?”
“Actually, from what I researched, blood quirks tend to naturally destroy any diseases that one can get from blood. It’s like the quirk’s attempt at making up for the craving drawback. Besides, Dad told me that Hyper Regeneration would destroy any diseases anyway.”
Himiko was surprised by this information. She did not know that. How did a maid know more about her quirk than she did? Well, she guessed no one bothered to teach her anyway. Shouldn’t there have been quirk counseling or something for that?
“Damn. Sensei really did make you invincible, didn’t he?”
“I figured he’s probably making up for not being in my life for all those years. You can’t raise a child on phone calls after all.”
“Okay, so let’s just say that we have all the basics covered. Why should we continue letting her stay? I only let you stay because I wanted a battle maid.”
“I mean, my Dad is also your father figure so there’s that too. Also, we bonded over our shared dislike of All Might and how society treated us as a whole. You don’t want to admit it often but you like Kurogiri and me. I’m sure you’ll get attached to her too. Besides, remember what you named me after?”
“Yeah, the Pleiades. What of it?”
“And you named me Izumi ALPHA.”
“You said you liked the name!”
There was silence for a moment before the man spoke again.
“Wait. I think I see where you are going with this. Alright, she can stay.”
“Thank you. Let me handle it this time though.”
“Oh come on. I recruited you, didn’t I?”
“Yeah, after I tried to kill myself. Nothing about me was in my right mind then. Besides, we shouldn’t force her into anything she doesn’t want.”
Himiko bit back a gasp. Izumi tried to kill herself? Why? What could have possibly driven someone as kind as her to do that? Unless… Maybe that was the reason why she was so kind?
“Fine. I’m going to bed now. My guild is raiding tomorrow, and I want to get some rest for it.”
“I will turn in for the night too. Goodnight, Tomura. Goodnight Kurogiri.”
“Goodnight you two.”
A second male voice responded and Himiko became aware that she wasn’t the only person listening in silence. She quickly snuck back to her room before anyone noticed her presence.
-:-
Himiko was on guard around the three inhabitants of the bar. She was more at ease with Izumi but she was still nervous around the one the maid introduced as Shigaraki. The one named Kurogiri was fine. He didn’t really seem to do much other than tend the bar and whatever Shigaraki told him to do/Izumi politely asked him to do. She also noticed that despite how Izumi was talking to Shigaraki the previous night, she referred to him as “Shigaraki-sama” in front of Himiko. When the blonde asked her why she just responded with “It’s how a maid should act.”
It confused her and Himiko had so much she wanted to ask, but she also didn’t want to get thrown out by admitting that she spied on them. So, she elected to stay quiet for a time.
At least Izumi made great omurice.
-:-
Three days after being taken in, Himiko had grown sort of restless. She learned that Izumi was continuing her education online whenever she wasn’t doing chores or hanging out with Shigaraki but Himiko realized that trying to read over the girl’s shoulder both confused her and made her fall asleep.
She did end up helping out with the chores though to make Izumi’s life easier. She felt the least she could do was wash the dishes after they all ate.
-:-
Himiko blushed at her current position. Last night she had admitted to Izumi that she once tried to take her own life by biting her wrist with her fangs. Her parents thought she had been trying to drink her own blood and punished her for it. Izumi then told her about her own story, about being quirkless all her life and about her bully, Kacchan. It was heartbreaking to hear that All Might would crush a girl’s dreams like he did and just hearing some of what Izumi told her what some of her classmates did made Himiko glad that she could hide her own blood starvation so long from her own ex-classmates.
Both ended up crying that night and at some point, fell asleep in each other’s arms on Izumi’s bed. Himiko awoke to find her head was being held into Izumi’s breasts while her own arms were wrapped around the maid’s waist and their legs tangled together as best they could with Izumi’s dress. Himiko had never imagined waking up in a situation like that before, much less with a girl, but she didn’t dislike it. As she closed her eyes to fall asleep again, she decided one thing.
Cuddling was nice.
-:-
“Himiko-san. Are you aware that Shigaraki-sama, Kurogiri, and I are villains?”
“Yep.”
“And you are fine with that?”
“You were nice to me when no one else was. Everyone else tried to hurt me and force me to be someone I wasn’t but you offered me your blood and extended a hand to me when no one else would. I don’t care if everyone else calls you villains. To me, you are heroes.”
Izumi cried again and Himiko got cuddles.
-:-
“Alpha’s omurice is the best.”
“What? Izumi-chan’s pancakes are way better.
“Omurice far out classes anything else.”
“Nu-uh. Her pancakes are supreme!”
“You only like them because she mixes her blood in with the strawberry syrup!”
Himiko blinked.
“Wait, she does?”
Shigaraki stared at her.
“Hold on, you didn’t know this?”
-:-
Himiko loved cuddling with Izumi. Usually, it came after they talked about something heavy, such as when Himiko told Izumi the full story of what had happened in her past. She didn’t bother hiding any of the details. Izumi deserved to know everything. Himiko was in tears at the end of it this time and Izumi just hugged her and stroked her hair.
“Thank you for telling me.”
The maid replied. Himiko got her cuddles again.
-:-
Himiko blinked as the couch she and Shigaraki were sitting on got lifted into the air. The blonde looked down to see Izumi mopping under it before she placed the couch back down.
“Wait. I thought hyper regeneration was your quirk.”
“Oh? Oh right. I’ve got multiple quirks. Most of them are body enhancement ones but I have hyper regeneration and shock absorption too. It’s part of being a battle maid.”
“How does being a maid give you powers?”
“I can’t tell you everything yet, but I got them from my father.”
“I don’t know. You might have maid powers. Sensei never gave you hypnosis, yet Toga couldn’t keep her eyes off you when you were cleaning this morning.”
Both girls blushed.
-:-
Himiko found three shirts of Shigaraki’s that had holes in them, and one of Izumi’s dresses. When she asked, Izumi said that she had been trying to find time to fix them but hadn’t had time to break out the sewing kit yet.
Himiko then decided to watch HeroTube tutorials on how to sew, and after practicing a few weeks on Shigaraki’s shirts which got several more holes in them due to a knife she found in the kitchen, Himiko finally felt confident enough to repair Izumi’s dresses.
The joy in those green eyes was something Himiko would treasure forever. Well, that and the cuddles she got that night.
-:-
The three of them were sitting in Shigaraki’s room watching an anime together. Shigaraki sat on a pillow on the floor while Izumi sat on his bed, Himiko snuggling with her arm. The show was about a skeleton taking over a human world. Shigaraki liked it because “The protagonist isn’t a good guy. He destroys what he wants to protect what he likes. I can identify with that.”
Himiko sort of understood that and she liked the vampire at least. However, she did notice something. Izumi was dressed a lot like one of the maids in that show. She knew Shigaraki was into anime, but did he really create a cosplay for Izumi and Izumi just went with it? Well, she supposed it did look pretty cute.
As the two watched the maids fight in Season Two, Izumi asked a question.
“Hey Himiko. How would you like to become a maid with me?”
-:-
Himiko stared at the potato faced man in front of her. He stared back at Himiko in her new maid outfit.
“But why though?”
He asked, turning to Izumi.
“What’s a matter Father?”
“Why can’t I have a normal Nomu? They are good, I promise.”
“Maids are better sensei.”
Shigaraki piped in.
“I agree with Shigaraki-sama.”
“You are my daughter! You shouldn’t be referring to him as sama! You should be referring to him as your brother if you have to give some form of respect for my protégé!”
“Apologies Father, but that is not proper for a maid.”
The potato man sighed as he looked over at Himiko.
“Alright so let’s get to work. Shall I start off with some body enhancers? I also just got that tongue web quirk.”
“I want to be a vampire!”
Himiko cheered. Potato man looked at her in silence for a moment.
“What?”
“She wants to be a vampire, Father.”
“I heard her the first time.”
“I see. Then I suggest we start off with these quirks.”
Izumi said holding out a notebook for Potato Man to read. How did he even read without eyes?
“I see. Hold on, doesn’t that wing quirk belong to? Oh. Oh I see.”
Potato man smiled and reached out a hand, patting Izumi’s head.
“I am so proud of you. My little girl sure does know how to hold grudges. I will contact Dr. Garaki and perhaps we will alter the plans for that particular Nomu. What do you think of giving the wings to Miss Toga and replacing the Nomu’s wings with something like, say, long fingers instead?”
An evil grin appeared on Izumi’s face.
“That sounds positively delightful, Father.”
Both of them gave dark chuckles and while it did unnerve both Himiko and Shigaraki, she had to admit, Himiko secretly found it pretty hot.
-:-
Toga flew around the warehouse with her new wings, Izumi guiding her from below, catching her if she fell. Right now, Toga had two new quirks and was told that she would get another quirk once her body adapted to the current ones she had. Izumi could apparently handle more because she was originally quirkless, but gaining new quirks put a lot of stress on the body and three was usually the limit to most until the body acclimated.
Along with her transformation quirk, Himiko now had the quirks Wings, which were obvious, and Vitality Stealing, which allowed her to heal from consuming blood. Thanks to Izumi’s hyper regeneration, she was never hurt for very long during their practice. The only issue was that her wings sometimes accidentally formed in her sleep which messed up her cuddle time with Izumi. She was getting better though. She had made it three nights so far without her wings showing up.
-:-
Himiko watched as Izumi carried a brown-haired girl into the bar. She had to admit, she was a little jealous of the princess carry that the girl received, though watching Izumi carry both the cute girl and all those groceries, as well as the crutches, was pretty attractive. She always forgot how strong her Izumi was.
“So. New recruit?”
Shigaraki asked from his spot at the bar, playing his Nentendo Switch.
“She just needs a place to stay tonight. Don’t worry, she will be out before you wake up tomorrow.”
“Not even going to let her stay for breakfast? That’s cold Alpha.”
“Shigaraki-sama, you and I both know that you plan on staying up all night playing video games again.”
-:-
Izumi returned to the bar after helping the cute brunette get back to her motel and go home.
“She might be a new recruit.”
The maid admitted.
“By the way Shigaraki-sama, would you like to help me deal with a fake hero tonight?”
-:-
Himiko grinned as the four of them watched the skeleton anime again. They were in the same positions as last time, but this time, while Himiko snuggled into one side of Izumi, the brunette, snuggled into the other side. Himiko wondered which maid outfit she would pick.
-:-
“You know, I can’t help but ponder the frightful headway you’d make if you put that energy into recruiting villains rather than battle maids.”
Izumi’s potato face of a father said as he looked at Izumi while Ochako-chan and Himiko stood behind her.
“I have no idea what you mean, father.”
“Where are you even getting the ideas for these maid outfits anyway?”
Ochako-chan blinked.
“He doesn’t know about the anime?”
Potato Face looked at Shigaraki in disbelief.
“Anime? You are making my daughter cosplay an anime maid?”
“Is there a problem with how I dress, Father? Surly you don’t think I should go back to wearing my old school uniform.”
Izumi asked in a slightly tense tone.
“Er. No. That’s not…” Potato man let out a sigh. “What quirks do you want for her?”
Himiko saw the subtle smirk on Izumi’s face.
“I was thinking of giving Ochako that Absorption and Release quirk since her Zero Gravity quirk is excellent at close-range combat, Absorption and Release will allow her to close the distance to emitter types. In addition, a minor regeneration quirk will be useful to make sure that she can keep going if she doesn’t absorb the quirk fast enough while also not overloading her body. Also, I believe the doctor said that Himiko is ready for her body enhancement quirk?”
Potato man nodded.
“Alright. Clever as always, my daughter. I would love to bring you in on the Nomu project but…”
“But you are afraid I would turn all your Nomu into maids.”
“Precisely.”
“Worry not, Father. I would not turn all your Nomu into maids.” She said before smirking. “I would turn the male ones into butlers.”
-:-
Training Ochako-chan was a lot harder than training Himiko. Thankfully, Kurogiri’s emitter portals were able to get her to start learning how to use Absorption and Release, and once she got the hang of it, they moved up to borrowing a Nomu from Izumi’s dad. This had been both Himiko and Ochako-chan’s first time seeing a Nomu and the ugly brain things made them glad that Shigaraki was focusing on battle maids instead.
While Ochako-chan got used to fighting, Himiko got used to her new body’s strength and speed while training with Izumi. The more experienced maid had practiced with Nomu before and had watched enough hero battles to know how to fight, but that didn’t matter since the maid’s body far outmatched anyone else in the League. Her father had made her to never be broken again and Himiko appreciated it. Especially when she was too tired out after practice and got Izumi to carry her back.
She also didn’t miss the jealous glances Ochako-chan sent her way.
-:-
“Himiko, I am going to bed now.”
“Alright! I’ll be there soon!”
Himiko cheered as Izumi went to her room. She looked over at Ochako-chan who was staring at her, wide eyed.
“You two sleep together?”
“Mmhmm!”
Himiko hummed in confirmation.
“We’ve been doing it for a while now.”
“Oh. I see.”
Ochako-chan said, looking disappointed. A playful smirk came to Himiko’s face.
“You know, you can join us if you want.”
The brunette’s face lit up in a blush. Himiko giggled. She looked so cute right now.
“J-j-join! T-that’s not right though. I m-mean, you and Izumi have that kind of relationship and…”
Himiko grinned as she grabbed the girl by her shoulders.
“Don’t worry about it. Ochako-chan is cute too. I’m looking forward to sleeping with both you and Izumi-chan.”
An hour later, a confused yet content Ochako-chan lay in Izumi’s bed, Himiko enjoying the cuddling session with her two friends. She wasn’t sure what Ochako-chan was expecting but Himiko decided that cuddling with both of them was better than cuddling with only one.
-:-
Himiko always enjoyed watching Izumi work and she grew to like watching Ochako work too. The two were very diligent and while Himiko did her best to help out, she wasn’t anywhere near their level. She even developed something of a routine. After breakfast in which she cleaned the dishes, she would sit on the couch, kicking her legs in the air with her elbows on the back of the couch, watching the two work while Shigaraki played his Switch next to her. When the two did their afternoon online schooling, Himiko would work when she wouldn’t be distracted by them. They looked so cute while working together. Actually, now that Himiko thought about it, they looked cute doing anything.
She had been doing it for a few weeks now when Shigaraki groaned next to her.
“Just kiss them already. Your restlessness is disturbing my gaming.”
Huh. Himiko liked that idea.
-:-
Izumi was the best cook among them. The first maid had told them that she wanted to be useful at home since she felt useless before joining Shigaraki so she had learned how. Himiko was proud of her own skills with needles and sewing. It combined her love of sharp things and cute things so naturally she excelled at it.
The two of them found out where Ochako outshined them when the three of them went shopping together for food. Turns out, Ochako knew how to take advantage of all sorts of sales and discounts. Later they found out she was very good at using coupons too.
That last part took some prompting from Izumi to do since Ochako didn’t like drawing attention to things that her family used to do because of their financial status. This was the first time Himiko had learned of Ochako’s full struggles and in turn shared her own life story with the girl. The two were crying by the end of it and while Izumi had been doing better at not crying over everything like she did when Himiko first met her, the green haired girl also joined in.
Himiko felt closer than ever with her two friends during their cuddle session that night.
-:-
“Kurogiri, how do you know you are in love?”
The misty bartender looked at the vampire girl who sat drinking a milkshake with Izumi’s blood in it.
“That is a difficult question. Is there someone you have your eye on Miss Himiko?”
“Maybe. I’m trying to figure it out. I used to think of love differently. When I thought I loved someone, I wanted to drink their blood. I wanted to be like them and become them. I wanted to feel warmth, like I knew their blood would give me. I’m not too sure of that anymore though. Ever since I started being myself more, things have been new to me. Izumi makes sure to satisfy my blood cravings and recently Ochako has been doing it too. When I transformed into them, they told me that they prefer seeing the real me more and I felt weird. I haven’t really wanted to do it since.”
The butler/bartender was silent for a moment while Himiko poked at her milkshake.
“I see.” He finally said. “Love is when just seeing them makes you happy. When they are sad, you want to do everything in your power to change it. You would do anything to make sure they are safe. There are many different kinds of love though. Friendship love, familial love, and romance love to name a few. Each one holds a different space in your heart. Romantic love is something only your heart can tell you but if I had to put it to words, love is when you can’t stand to think of a world without them.”
Himiko hummed.
“I see. So, like, everyone here thinks of you as a father figure, so we love you in a familial sense.”
If the mist could blush, Himiko was pretty sure he was at the moment. They stayed silent for a little bit longer.
“Kurogiri, have you ever been in love?”
The mist man stared off into the distance.
“Once. In a past life.”
No one spoke after that. Himiko had a lot to think about.
-:-
It was a week before their planned attack on All Might at the USJ. Shigaraki had a plan to retrieve the schedule from their spy and use all the villain thugs that the group had been recruiting to attack All Might when he brought the students to a secluded area on the campus.
The plan was for Izumi and a team of the henchmen to distract All Might after jamming communications through one of the few quality villains they had. Then, Kurogiri and Ochako would scatter the students so the remaining villains could capture them and use them as hostages for when backup inevitably arrived. Meanwhile, Himiko would keep an eye on everyone from the sky and step in if Kurogiri or Ochako got overwhelmed or someone tried to interfere with Izumi.
Himiko knew the three of them would be fine. They have already fought several villains who didn’t want to submit to Shigaraki already. Ochako would have Kurogiri backing her up and Himiko herself was watching over her and Himiko had yet to see anyone, even a Nomu, come close to matching Izumi in power. If anyone here had a chance against the proclaimed Symbol of Peace, it was Izumi and the girl’s father made sure she had the best chances she could.
So why did she feel so scared?
Why did Himiko feel so worried about her two fellow maids? Why, when she took her nap earlier that day, did she have a nightmare about Izumi and Ochako in chains, being led far away from her? Why did she wake up in tears at the idea of being alone?
Love is when you can’t stand to think of a world without them.
Oh.
“Himiko? Are you okay?”
“Himiko. Is everything alright?”
The two voices of her fellow maids cut into her thoughts. Currently they were in their sleeping clothes. Izumi wore a green babydoll dress, a lot more confident in showing her skin now that the scars on her body had vanished. Ochako wore a black tank top, which was something she had gotten at a thrift store before joining them and had taken a liking to. Himiko wore a red cami night dress that she had gotten when shopping with Izumi for new clothes when she was first taken in. They were about to cuddle and sleep like the three of them had been doing but she paused in the doorway, overwhelmed by her thoughts and fears.
Just kiss them already.
Himiko looked up at the two of them, worry clear in their eyes. They were worried for her, not about her. They didn’t look at her with fear in their eyes like everyone did before. They trusted her. They cared about her. Himiko took a deep breath.
“You two are the most important people in my life. Before I met Izumi, I was alone. Even around my parents, I could never be myself. After meeting you, I was finally free to be who I wanted to be. You accepted me and it made me happy. When Ochako came, I got even happier. You two are everything I wanted in life. I also have Shiggy and Kurogiri, who are like the family I never had, but they don’t even come close to how much you two mean to me.”
The two girls stood up and approached her. They recognized when one of them had something serious on their mind. Himiko was thankful for that. It made what she was about to do easier.
“I am scared of losing you two. I know we should be fine. We’ve been preparing for a long time, but I’m still scared that the two greatest people in my life will be taken away from me.”
She looked at them, the sparkling green eyes and the warm brown ones.
“What I’m trying to say is this.”
She said before moving forward, pressing her lips into Izumi’s first, leaning up to kiss the taller girl before moving down to capture Ochako’s lips. After a moment, she pulled away from the two stunned girls.
“I hope you can return my feelings.”
“Himiko. You mean both of us?”
Izumi said quietly. The blonde nodded.
“I’ve been looking into it since I first started having these feelings with the help of Kurogiri. It’s called Polyamory. All of us are in a relationship with each other, the three of us equally making each other happy.”
Himiko explained. Izumi looked at Ochako.
“Are you okay with this?”
The girl looked down at her feet.
“I’ve had so many new experiences since I met you. So many things I’m still not sure about. I never thought I’d end up doing anything close to this in my life. I never thought I’d be a villain. I never thought I’d become a maid. I never thought I’d get multiple quirks. I never even thought I’d like girls. There are a lot of things I’m confused about because I never thought about them before.” She looked back up at them. “But I do know that the two of you make me happy. Happier than I’ve been with anyone back in my old school. I don’t know about this, but if it can make everyone happy, I’d like to give it a try.”
Izumi gave them both a soft smile.
“In that case, it’s decided then.”
She leaned down, kissing Himiko first. The vampire melted into her soft lips. When Izumi let go of her, she fell back against the bed and Izumi turned to Ochako, kissing her as well. The girl went bright red in the face as Himiko watched through happy dazed eyes. In a moment, Ochako joined her on the edge of the bed. Izumi smiled at them as she walked around them to get under the covers.
“Now Ochako, time for you to kiss both of us and then let’s get some sleep. We can discuss our first date in the morning.”
Izumi said, holding up the covers for the two of them to come in after her. Anyone from the outside viewing the scene in the dimly lit room would think that the green haired girl was calm and collected as always, but Himiko knew that the girl was sporting a blush of her own, trying to hide an explosion of emotions herself. She knew that Ochako knew too.
Himiko turned to Ochako who almost tackled her, the blonde enjoying the brunette’s plush lips before the two broke apart and, in silent agreement, scrambled to get under the covers with Izumi. Ochako taking the opportunity to kiss the greenette that she had been crushing on as well. As the three of them snuggled under the blankets, Izumi kissed the tops of their heads one last time.
“Goodnight ‘Chako. Goodnight Himichan. Sweet dreams.”
Himiko dreams were filled with the happiness of the two girls she loved that night.
-Present Day-
The sides had separated again. Shigaraki, Kurogiri, Izumi Alpha, Himitoga Beta, and Ocharaka Gamma faced off against All Might, Katsuki Bakugou, Eijiro Kirishima, and Shoto Todoroki. The two other students, Hitoshi Shinso and Tsuyu Asui had already brought their teacher, Eraserhead, back up the stairs to try and get what medical attention they could get for him till back up arrived. Unfortunately, this meant leaving their classmate, Kazan, behind.
“Damn it Deku!” Bakugou shouted. “Stop playing around already! Do you have any idea what Aunty has gone through since you disappeared?”
“Do you have any idea what I went through before I did? Do you think I jumped off that roof because I was happy? No, you made sure of that. Mom never supported my dream, always looking at me with those pitying eyes, like I was something to be sorry for. You belittled me every chance you got, from that nickname of yours to the marks you left on me when you used your quirk on me. You wanted me to know that you would always have a hold on me, but guess what Kacchan? I don’t have those marks anymore. My body is my own again. I have people who love and support me rather than try to keep me down. Just like you and All Might wanted, I stopped trying to be a hero and I’ve never been happier.”
All Might grit his teeth. This wasn’t a good situation. This girl he had wronged in the past knew of his time limit. Was she stalling? Things weren’t looking good. Young Kazuya was in critical condition, but they couldn’t move him with the villains here. She also had multiple quirks it seems. If pushed in a corner, he could believe that she got lucky in being a very late bloomer, but that blonde girl demonstrated multiple quirks too. That meant there could be only one person behind this, and All Might was running out of time.
“Enough of this. Young lady, please. If you and your friends stand down, we can help you. Young Kazuya is in bad condition. If you stop now, we can save him and things will be easier for us to make sure you are taken care of.”
“Shut up.” The hand covered villain growled. “You and I both know that if she was still quirkless, you wouldn’t have given her a second glance and that loudmouth over there would still be abusing her. You two had your chance. Now that the outcasts of hero society are finally able to fight back, you want to talk? Don’t make me laugh. Alpha. Kurogiri. Take him down and let’s go home. Beta, Gamma, and I will handle the kids.”
“Right.”
The three maids replied. All Might closed his eyes. He had barely a minute left. He had no choice.
“Children, stay back, and watch how a pro goes all out.”
He said before dashing forward. In the blink of an eye, Izumi was there to meet him, their fists impacting each other, wind buffeting the area and pushing those near them away. They traded another punch, then another, then another. Wind kicked up as their punches started going faster than the eye could follow.
“It’s useless All Might! You can’t hurt me anymore! Not physically, or emotionally ever again!”
Izumi called as her fist impacted his wound again. Nearby, Kurogiri staggered back from the wind, unable to get near her. Next to him, Gamma was doing her best to shield Shigaraki from the wind. Beta was closer but struggling to stay in her place. This wasn’t the plan, but at least she was fast enough to keep up with All Might and her Shock Absorption was taking all the blows.
Then she felt it.
Pain.
It was subtle, but it was more than she had felt in a long time. She had to be imagining it, right?
“You said your quirk was Shock Absorption, not Nullification, right? That means there is a limit to how much you can take, right?”
Their fists impacted again and Izumi’s remaining gauntlet crumpled from the pressure. A few more of his fists impacted her and she felt the pain blast through her. The maid just grit her teeth and redoubled her efforts in aiming at his weak spots. This was nothing. She had received worse. These were just like Kacchan’s punches.
Another punch forced her to take a step back.
She had received worse. Kacchan’s explosions hurt more than this. She dug her feet into the ground, having lost one of her shoes from the ice attack from that boy earlier. Still, she felt the pain, even as blood spilled from All Might’s mouth with each of her targeted punches. He kept pushing her back as her hyper regeneration worked to keep her from falling apart.
“You were a pretty dedicated fan Young Izumi so you know how much strength I have these days. That means you think you can stand against a hundred percent of my power. In that case, I need to go beyond that and force you to surrender!”
He shouted as his next blow blasted Izumi’s remaining gauntlet from her arm. Izumi soldiered through the pain, just like she always had. Just like when Kacchan left her beaten and broken as she stumbled her way home to the pitying eyes of her mother. Home to where she would treat her own injuries and nothing would be done because no one would stand up for her. Not the teachers. Not the heroes.
A blow to her face broke her hair from the bun and her nose healed from the blow. Just like Kacchan when they were little, All Might’s blows were targeted. Only instead of targeting a place he hadn’t struck yet like Kacchan did when marking her, All Might struck locations that would disorient her and knock her back, using more than one hundred percent of his power.
No one could save her. They were moving too fast. Another punch and she was pushed back more. No, she had to match him. Her Hyper Regeneration would fix any harm it caused. She had the power to save herself now!
Her fist impacted All Might’s side once again, blood spilling from his mouth and even staining the side of his shirt where she had stuck. It was a clumsy and slow strike, but it was strong. However, it gave All Might the time to focus even more strength into an attack, hitting her dead center and blowing Izumi into the air, leaving her remaining shoe behind.
Trees passed Izumi’s vision as she was tossed back. She saw All might jumping after her and righted herself, skidding to a halt before charging at him again, her bare feet creating impacts on the ground where she ran as her muscles worked themselves to their fullest. She leapt up to punch him but All Might was faster, his fist impacting her face again. As they spun in the air, Izumi lashed out with a strong kick, her foot connecting with All Might’s block. The pro hero pushed her off of him, sending her a small distance away as he recovered himself.
“A true hero will always keep going and never give up!”
Izumi raised her guard as All Might’s double kick impacted her, sending her crashing into the ground. She bounced back in the air, pain wracking her body. Her vision was starting to get blurry as she made out the form of All Might charging her. She launched a punch towards him, but he caught her arm and spun her around. They twirled like a top before he released her, chucking her into the ground next to the fountain.
She was vaguely aware of people screaming her name as she bounced into the air. All Might landed next to her and she focused on him, forcing her body to guard itself again, years of abuse from Kacchan making it like a second nature.
“You are strong Young Izumi Midoriya. We could use you on the hero’s side, but I need you to be unconscious right now. You were my fan so you probably know these words by heart. Let me show them to you.”
Izumi’s eyes widened as she saw muscles tensing in his arm and what looked like lights or energy sparking around him.
"This is what it means to go beyond, PLUS ULTRA!"
Despite her guard, Izumi felt nothing but pain. Her arms broken, her ribs shattered, blood welling up in her lungs. She felt the sting of the wind for a second before she hit something solid. It barely lasted before there was a crashing sound and the inside of the USJ was gone, her vision now filled with blue.
“Izu-chan!”
“Mimi!”
“Alpha!”
“Izumi Alpha!”
Gamma, Beta, Shigaraki, and Kurogiri called out as their comrade was blasted through the roof.
“Deku…”
Bakugou uttered in disbelief as his two classmates watched in amazement at what just happened.
-:-
Meanwhile, near the entrance, where Asui and Shinso had brought Eraserhead, all the students stared.
“Er, did someone just fly by, or am I going crazy?”
Sero asked, helping carry Thirteen out of the building.
“I think All Might punched a maid into the stratosphere.”
Satou added, staring up at the hole in the ceiling. The gathered students stared at the hole produced by the number one hero. They were happy that All Might was victorious, but they couldn’t help but think of how the one who got punched looked like she was a girl around their age who was smaller than over half of them.
-:-
“She was mighty indeed.”
All Might said, his fist still clenched as he stared in the direction that the maid had flown off.
“She took over three hundred of my punches. Granted, at my heyday, five would have been enough, but even now, that is nothing to scoff at. When this is over, I’ll have someone retrieve her so I can formally apologize.”
He turned his attention to the four remaining villains.
“Now, surrender villains. We all want to get this over quickly.”
“How dare you…”
Came the quiet growl of the Shigaraki, the villain’s hands tensing. Next to him, Kurogiri was a raging swarm of smoke. Ocharaka Gamma was in a similar position to Shigaraki with a look of utter rage on her face. Himitoga Beta wasn’t much different, her fangs bared as she held two knives.
“You just hurt my first maid! Weakened my ass, you clearly overplayed that stupid injury of yours.”
All Might grinned at them.
“Oh? If you believe that then why don’t you surrender? If you still think you can take me though, I’ll end it right here. What will it be?”
While he stood strong on the outside, inside, All Might was worried. Fighting the maid had taken a lot more out of him than he had thought. Not only did he overexert himself with using more power than he was usually capable of, but every hit the girl had landed against his old wound had worn him down even further and she had hit him a lot. Even as the steam came off his body, mixing with the smoke and dust from the end of his fight.
“Damn him. I’ll never forgive him. I’ll kill him. I’ll kill him. I’ll kill him!”
The blonde girl started muttering to herself, her catlike eyes glaring at All Might. The brunette also seemed to be muttering to herself something along the lines of “Izu-chan will be alright”. The hand covered villain meanwhile had started to scratch his own neck in agitation.
“The three of you, calm down. Izumi Alpha did a lot of damage to him, but he is still standing.” Kurogiri drew their attention. “The students are holding back and reinforcements from the school are no doubt on their way, but if we all work together, we should still be able to take him down. Izumi Alpha said he didn’t have a lot of time left today anyway so we can accomplish this, then retrieve her.”
“She should be here to see it finally happen. To see us crush him after he crushed her.”
Gamma stated.
“We’ll bring her back to see after we win. Kurogiri, girls, let’s do this. Beta, lead the charge.”
Shigaraki growled, getting ready to rush forward. The blonde giggled and her wings sprouted from her body. Bakugou narrowed his eyes, feeling as if those wings should be familiar to him for some reason. Himitoga Beta dashed forward with impressive speed, her knives ready to stab into the number one hero as Kurogiri followed behind, his cloud of darkness spilling out and swirling in a chaotic mass. Shigaraki and Ocharaka Gamma followed up behind, their hands tensed and ready to attack. All Might kept his grin as the other students tried to get Bakugou away. He prepared for one final smash, aiming to take the four down with one blow before his time ran out. The knives closed in, the blonde vampire demanding blood.
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
The winged maid leapt back as the knives were shot from her hand, the blades broken by bullets. The other villains came to a halt and everyone looked up to see that All Might’s reinforcements had arrived. Gamma’s eyes narrowed as she recognized Power Loader who had been responsible for her crushed legs. She would have to wait to get her revenge though. They just got outnumbered.
“Damn. We almost had him.” Shigaraki growled while the students around the USJ cheered. A man with a cowboy hat, the pro hero Snipe who had been the one to shoot Himitoga’s knives, aimed at the party. The two maids moved to the front, Beta being the sturdiest of those remaining and Gamma having a regeneration quirk. The hero fired several more shots at them, only for another figure to land in front of them, taking the shots.
Everyone’s eyes widened as the bullets were forced out of the wounds and said injuries repaired themselves. The figure glared up at the heroes.
“Mimi/Izu-chan/Alpha/Izumi Alpha!”
The villains cheered as the strongest maid returned. Her green hair was knocked out of its bun, revealing her fluffy curls to everyone around them, sticks and leaves currently caught in the locks. Blood was on several parts of her body, left over from when she had to regenerate. Her maid uniform was in tatters, revealing her forest green undergarments. She was a mess, and she looked angry.
“I’m gone for a couple of minutes and you are already trying to shoot my friends? This is why we never believed you were going to try and help us. You have two perfectly good capture heroes in the form of Midnight and Cementoss and the first thing you do is have Snipe shoot us.”
She growled, more rage in her voice than any of those around had heard before. Kurogiri knew that this wasn’t Izumi, the leader of the Pleiades Battle Maids, but Izumi, the daughter of All for One, the man who lived through fatal injuries out of spite and determination.
“Kurogiri. Prepare to withdraw. I’m going to make sure we are remembered.”
She ordered and in the blink of an eye, she was gone. All Might and Izumi landed one final blow on each other, this time, the greenette’s Shock Absorption taking the full strike while Izumi’s blow landed true. All Might flew past the three students and crashed into the stairs. Izumi smirked, even as more bullets impacted her limbs and Kurogiri started to warp them all away. The five of them got to see everyone react to the true skeletal form of All Might before they vanished.
-:-
Katsuki Bakugou sat outside the USJ building. He had just watched Volcano Head and Grape Boy get taken away in an ambulance, the former having severe burns from his quirk getting countered and the latter having his testicles crushed by one of the villains before getting crushed by the door when All Might slammed it open. Speaking of All Might, he had stared in shock as the skeletal form of his idol got taken away with Aizawa-sensei and Thirteen, all three teachers having obtained severe injuries. Others had gotten hurt too, but they were able to stand and move. Sparkles had gone down quickly but he seemed to have recovered enough while Crow Head left due to getting burns when that round faced maid used Sparkles’ laser on him, but at least he had left on his own two feet.
How had things spiraled out of control so fast? One day he was on top of the world. He had a couple of extras at his beck and call, Deku was there helping him relieve stress, and he had no doubt that he would be the one to surpass All Might. Then Deku vanished and Auntie Inko got depressed. His mother became distraught as well and images of Deku jumping off the roof of the school started haunting his dreams.
Now Deku was a villain. While the maid part still confused him in more ways than one, her words hadn’t. She said that All Might had crushed her dreams and she followed Katsuki’s advice. He hadn’t meant for her to take it seriously. It was just another joke to mess with her. She had though. From what he guessed, she was on a roof with All Might, probably having climbed up there prepared to jump, where he told her that she couldn’t be a hero before leaving her up there. That had been the final straw and she jumped.
He had no idea what happened to her after that but now she had a quirk. More than one actually. He had watched her go toe to toe with All Might when just last year she was sobbing after a single love tap. She also mentioned having a new family and a pair of girlfriends. Did she mean that in a literal sense? Also speaking of family, what was that about reuniting with her father? Uncle Hisashi hadn’t said anything and Aunty Inko was still depressed so if that were true, why would he be hiding it? Unless it was someone pretending to be Uncle Hisashi but he lived in the United States so wouldn’t it be easy to verify?
Then there was that battle. Izumi had gone toe to toe with All Might, had her limbs destroyed and just grew them back, and then was thrown through the roof, only to come charging back in to take bullets for the other villains. Then she landed a punch on All Might, putting him in a crater and turning him into some skeletal parody of the man. The principal and one of the detectives there had pulled the eighteen students aside and told them to keep quiet since it was a government secret. This was not something they were supposed to see. Deku, using the quirks she had gotten after jumping off the roof after he told her to, had forced All Might into this weakened form and into the hospital.
Deku was a Villain.
All Might had been defeated.
And it was all Katsuki’s fault.
-:-
Kurogiri’s portal opened up in the bar, dumping the three maids and the leader of the League of Villains into it. Izumi’s limbs were almost done healing, having pushed the bullets out already, though the maid still stood there, half naked. Immediately the other two tackled her, crying tears of joy.
“Kurogiri! Grab the phone! We’re ordering out tonight!” Shigaraki cheered “Now if only I had my damn camera to take a picture. I would have made that smiling skeletal jackass my wallpaper.”
“I take it your plan was successful?”
A nearby TV crackled to life.
“Damn straight Sensei! I mean, there were some annoying things that happened like the cannon fodder we brought with us being practically useless and Kurogiri let one of them get away, though I can forgive him for that, but my maids performed perfectly!”
There was silence for a moment as Shigaraki looked back to see Himiko and Ochako peppering Izumi with kisses as the girl laughed, holding both of them in her arms.
“Tomura, why is my daughter half naked?”
“Eh. Some asshole with ice powers froze two of her limbs and then All Might destroyed the rest of her uniform during their fight. I think punching her through the roof did a real number on what was left. Then she came back though and saved us from some bullets from some cowboy wanabee and punched All Might into a skeleton!”
“Congratulations on your victory Tomura Skigaraki. You have unveiled All Might’s true form to his precious students and my daughter even bested him in battle! I could not be more proud of you two.”
“Thank you, Sensei… You know…” Shigaraki started with a grin. “You said that the mindless Nomu was a good idea since it would follow any order I gave it without hesitation, but All Might punched Izumi Alpha far out of range for me to give orders, yet she came back. Would your mindless Nomu have come back, or is that another reason why my maids are better than your Nomu?”
The TV remained silent.
“Kurogiri, I will be joining the League for the celebration dinner tonight and you can tell me about the battle in more detail.” The man said through the screen, his calm voice wavering slightly as he ignored his protégé. “I will eat whatever you all decide on.”
With that the TV shut off and Shigaraki grinned, taking the lack of a response as a victory again. He looked back at his maids before turning to Kurogiri.
“Let’s leave them alone for now and look at nearby menus. See what they have available.”
“Of course.”
“By the way, Kurogiri. You mean a lot to us. If you ever need to get anything off your chest, I promise I will half listen to it or order Izumi to listen to you.” Shigaraki said, both knowing full well that the maid wouldn’t need that order. “I noticed you staring pretty hard at some of those heroes back there.”
Kurogiri wavered in his mist form in surprise.
“Ah. Of course, Tomura Shiguraki. I will keep that in mind.”
He said before walking off with his young master, leaving the three girls behind.
“I was so worried when you got punched away like that.”
Ochako said as she clung to Izumi.
“I was so scared. It was like my nightmare all over again.”
Himiko added, also clinging to the girl. Izumi smiled and kissed both of her girlfriends.
“ ‘Chako. Himichan. There is no way I would ever leave you two. Not even All Might could keep me from you. I love you both.”
The girls blushed. A red faced Ochako spoke up.
“Izu-chan. Hi-chan. I love you.”
“Mimi. Ochan. I love you two more than anything.”
“More than blood?”
“More than blood.”
Himiko confirmed Izumi’s question, before blushing deeper.
“But I love Mimi and Ochan’s blood a lot too.”
Izumi laughed as she pulled her girlfriends into another big hug. They loved each other, and she would never let go.
Notes:
The last chapter of my largest completed work. I hope you all enjoyed it.
Beta has had her origins revealed and a bit more from the first chapter will make sense!
This story really took off after its completion. Thank you all for reading. The good news is that there will be more and I already have that and the rest of the timeline mapped out and as long as you keep expressing interest in the series, I will continue to try to finish it. The next story chapter will focus around the recruitment of Delta and cover the timeline of the Sports Festival to the Hosu Incident. Bonus points if you can guess who Delta will be though. She will have a bit more in common with Overlord's Delta than the other girls had with their name origins.
But first, a one shot focused on the immediate aftermath of the USJ incident. A lot of people were affected after all and a lot of them brought this on themselves.
Also, the usage of Nentendo instead of Nintendo was done as a purposeful nod to another series. I hinted at the same series in the second chapter too with a different property. Shout out to any fans who recognized them.
Anyway, thank you all for reading! I appreciate all the support.
