Notes:

Wukong is a very controlling monkey and the poor Macaque had to deal with it.

Work Text:

In late July, baby Macaque stood on a large rock with a robe covering the white fur on his chest and thighs. His multicolored ears hid under the tan color hood. They secretly shined as the sun's rays hit them. He held a stick with a ribbon attached to the end, he coiled it around as if he was holding a magical wand. Providing entertainment for the rest of the baby monkeys, Wukong was also in the crowd. Pouting as he crosses his arms, he's also wearing a robe but it exposed his chest, "I need a helper for the rest of the story" Macaque announced as he waved the stick out in the crowd. The monkeys jumped up and waved their arms in the air, making noises to try to grab the attention of the storyteller. Except for Wukong, who stayed sitting with his arms crossed. Macaque looked down at the prince, "You there! Would you like to help me on this journey!" He circled Wukong out with the stick. He rolled his eyes, "No mango, I don't want to!" He got up and pushed his way through the crowd. Macaque watched as he left, he then looked around the crowd that was staring back up at him. He tossed the staff into the pile of monkeys making them jump and fight over it, while that was happening, he chased after his friend. "Peaches!...Peaches!!" Macaque called looking around the trees, searching for his companion. He ultimately came to a stop by a running river, he sat down and whimpered quietly, staring at himself in the water

Abruptly there was a splash in the water, he glanced up and saw Wukong standing there, his tail waving side to side aggressively, and his arms crossed. "Peaches!" Macaque jumped to his feet and ran to hug him, Wukong stood there and took it, arms still crossed. "What's wrong, why did you run away!?" He said once he pulled back from the hug. "Because I just wanted to have a day for us!" He complained, "But, Peaches we always have a day together. I wanted to show them my new story!" Wukong scoffed as turned his head away. "Okay, okay...I'm sorry" There was a moment of silence until Wukong turned his head with a smirk on his face. "Your king," he started with in a commanding voice. "Will only accept this apology if you can beat me!" He said while placing his hands on his hips. "B-but Wukonggg!" The plum monkey groaned, "You know I can't beat you!" "Well that sucks, guess I can't forgive youuu~" Wukong started to walk away, head high, and arms crossed behind his back. His tail swinging back and forth in an amusing way. Before the stubborn monkey disappeared into the forest, Macaque finally shouted his agreement.

Now that takes us to Wukong holding a long firm stick in a defensive position while Macaque circled him with two smaller ones. His tail swayed as he tried to make his partner dizzy. "99 - 0" The young King reminded him, "Not a single win yet, with your luck you might not ever!" He laughed out loud, Macaque ignored him. The white-furred monkey was to focus on trying to find the perfect spot, then, he had a plan. He waited, listening to Wukong's voice as he joked about his losing streak. As the golden-furred monkey made jokes his laughter made him weak in the knees, that was perfect. Macaque lowered himself to the ground as he dashed towards his opponent, Wukong heard the footsteps and quickly shifted his body towards the noise. Once Macaque got close enough, he higher his weapon to strike. He swung downwards but Macaque dashed to the other side of his and attacked his ankles. Wukong stumbled forward and yelped in pain, "You ankle-biter!' Wukong laughed out loud. Macaque stood up and smiled, proud of his achievement. This time golden monkey ran to attack, he swung low to his stomach, and Macaque blocked but Wukong managed to knock the stick out of his hand. With quick movements Wukong aimed for the head, he nearly didn't have enough time to react but he quickly ducked and jabbed Wukong in the stomach with his stick. He managed to push him back far enough to make a quick dash towards the stick that got knocked out, but Wukong manage to recover quickly and ran after him, at the time Macaque was faster than Wukong and so he was able to put a few hits on him, but Wukong hit harder.

Moon's speed and Sun's strength balance each other out perfectly. Whenever they worked together they were considered unstoppable, Macaque had always got them out of trouble by running away to their secret place with mangos and peaches. They joked about their facial expressions and the way they acted. Wukong's strength was protected when it came to facing danger.

Before Macaque could reach his second stick, Wukong threw his making the shorter one trip on it. The prince ran up behind him, Macaque quickly turned onto his back and put the stick he had up in both hands and held it close to his face to avoid any blow that was coming. Wukong sat on top of him and grabbed the stick, applying pressure onto it to push it down. Both grunted applying trying to push the stick away from each other, then Wukong pulled the stick upwards, snatching it out of Macaque's paws then tossed it somewhere, he then grabbed both his wrist and pinned him to the grass. Both making eye contact and panting heavily, that was until Macaque burst out laughing. Wukong watched him laugh, his facing warming up. "Hahaha!~ 100 - 0..." Macaque smiled, the prince felt his moon weaken underneath him. His facing heating up even more as he observed more of his partner. "...Peaches?..." Macaque quietly called to him, worriedly. Wukong gasped as he caught himself staring at him. He let go of his wrist, "Aha! A perfect 100 streak!" He said proudly before looking at Macaque with an evil grin. "Losers get a punishment!" Before the white-furred monkey could react, Wukong aimed for his waist and started to tickle him. He laughed out loud, moving uncontrollably under the prince. "No! No! Stop! BAHAHAHAHAHA! P-peaches!! Please!! HAHAAHHAAHHA"

"PEACHES! AHAHAH"

"PEA-CHES! PLEASE!"

"AHAHAH.../...AH-"

"STOP PLEASE! WUKONG!!"

"I'M---SORRY! PLEASE STOP!"

Golden furred knuckles covered in blood, "I TOLD YOU TO NOT COME HERE!" older Wukong yelled, his other hand wrapped tightly around the white-furred monkey's neck. "WHY DON'T YOU LISTEN!?!?" He shouted in his ears causing them to bleed, joining the pool of blood that came from his eye. His fur was stained red, cuts and bruises on his arms, one of them turning out to be broken from Wukong's punches. Tears, sweat, dirt, and blood, covered his face as he tried to push the aggressive monkey off of him. Wukong shouted even more at him but Macaque couldn't hear it clearly, it all sounded muffed. He turned his head away from the shouted monkey and opened one of his eyes. Seeing the rest of the monkeys hide behind trees and in the tree, flinching at every hit Macaque took. Wukong stopped punching him and grabbed him by the jaw making him turn to look at him. The monkeys hid more behind the trees, "LOOK. AT. YOUR. KING."

The moon-furred monkey trembled violently underneath him as he tried to focus his eyes. The King was pulling back his fist to land another punch, the poor prince closed his eyes expecting to be hit.

"Ooo...?" Wukong quickly stopped mid-punch, right before it hit Macaque's face, he lifted his head to see the youngest monkey standing by a tree, a very worried expression and hands pressed against their chest. "Awww, don't worry~" Wukong stood up leaving the injured monkey, "We're only play fighting"

Mango sat by the river, washing his face off with the water. He tried to stay quiet as possible so his King wouldn't hear him and suddenly get any of his "fun" ideas. His tail is closely wrapped around his body. His broken arm held close to his chest, tears rolled down his face, biting his lip to silence himself. /Crack/ Macaque quickly turned his head to the noise, it was one of the monkeys holding a bowl of fruits. Another one stood behind him holding sticks and huge leaves. Macaque relaxed a bit more once he only realized they were only trying to help him. "Oo!... Ooo!" They walked over to him and placed the bowls down, "Thank you---Thank you so much..." Macaque hiccuped and sniffed as he fought back more tears. They sat down next to him and cuddled.

``Play fighting...`` Macaque thought. His paw balled into a fist. ``I'll show you play fighting.``
