"You will always be Mullet to me." Lance grinned as he bumped their shoulders together.
"You're insufferable." Keith scoffed.
"Yet you love me," Lance said it so casually that Keith ended up frozen on the spot. Lance's words seemed to have caught up to him. "Keith? Oh shit! Wait, Keith, I didn't-"
"It's alright Lance. Can we wash this off?" He asked to avoid any more embarrassment.

Summary
A love story between Leandro Alejandro Altea, Lance, the Altean Emperor of Altea, and Galra Prince Keith Akira Kogane. In order to extend his empire, Lance agrees to a marriage of alliance to young and fiery Keith but soon realizes he has to defend his choice of groom as his courtiers voice their displeasure at the idea of their Altean Emperor marrying a Marmora Galra.

Summary
Lance McClain doesn't believe in true love, especially when you're fighting in a war against an evil alien Emperor. He and Keith broke up on mutual grounds when Keith is offered a place with the blade. When Lance's bond with the red lion strengthens he sees Alfor, the previous Paladin. Alfor ends up seeing much of himself in him and decides to tell him the story of how he met the love of his life.
Meanwhile, Lance and Keith maintain their friendship and try to help each other out in dating someone new. But as they both started dating and time passes Keith soon realizes that he has fallen for Lance.
It only depends now on how Alfor finished his story for Lance to finally decide what he really was looking for.

Summary
Keith picked up the book as if to throw it across the room, but he stopped himself last second and held it to his chest instead. He hugged it close until his breathing evened out and his eyes stopped stinging. He opened it back up then, flipping to the back cover where another messy inscription awaited him.
“To my dearest son, Keith. Thank-you for always cheering me on when I leave and welcoming me back with open arms when I come home. I can only hope that someday you’ll have adventures of your own to bring back to the castle and tell me about. I love you.”
In that moment, reading the message for what had to be the thousandth time, Keith felt something inside of himself shift. A decision he’d been on the verge of making for years and suddenly it all seemed so clear, like there’d only really been one option all this time. He thought of high seas and trees taller than he could see, a world begging to be explored, and he knew.

Summary
He can’t even justify it as desperation. If he were well and truly desperate to move out of Shiro’s place, it would have happened by now. He’s had other options, he’s had people offer, it’s not like he’s backed into a corner and living out of his car. But if it’s not desperation, what exactly is it? A sick, morbid type of curiosity to know Lance better, to expose himself to the same hurt he’s already felt by getting attached to the other boy? Is it still attraction pulling him in like a moth to a flame, despite all that’s happened and how he knows they’re a terrible match? He isn’t sure.
He does, however, catch himself pulling on his best outfit before stepping out the door to go and meet Lance in the park. So maybe that’s an answer in itself.
