Penguin huffed as he began to leave, before turning back to them for a moment, eying Edward up and down one last time.
“Might wanna keep that one on a leash,” he sniffed, turning back around and stalking out. Edward’s jaw dropped at the comment, feeling the burn of offense but the sudden warmth of affection at the same time.
“Don’t worry about him too much, Ed,” Gordon assured as he took in the rather perplexed expression on Edward’s face. “I’ll keep him in line, you can stay far from him if you’d like.”
“Are you joking? It looks like Eddie’s just fallen in love!” Bullock cackled out.
