   Summary

   Post-victory (and post-Top Gun:Maverick), all of the top gun graduates are returned to North Island along with Maverick, because the Navy forgot to have new assignments ready for them. Rooster is glad for the break and the time to get to know Maverick again and makes plans for his dad to visit as well. But when Maverick agrees to be part of a secret drug trial that the Navy is running in exchange for some goodwill towards getting him in a plane, he accidentally ends up 25 again, with no memories past his own top gun experience. Rooster and co. are enlisted to try and keep young Maverick out of trouble, which they know will be anything but easy.

   Or: Mav gets deaged and accidently falls in love with Rooster and Hangman, while Goose, Ice, and Phoenix watch from the sidelines and boo them when they make stupid decisions (and they make a lot of stupid decisions)
